» Gang Leader Sleeps With Secondary School Girls To Initiate Them «

EIGHT secondary school students have been arrested by
the Ondo State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil
Defence Corps for being cultists members.
Saturday Vanguard gathered that the leader of the gang
who initiated the female members reportedly had sex with
them to welcome them to the group. They were arrested in
Akure by officials of the command following a tip off.
Parading the suspects, the State Commander of the Corps,
Mr. Ayinla Adeyinka said that a former student of the
school came back to the school to initiate the under-aged
students.
"The former student of the secondary schools was the one
that came to the school to persuade the students to join
his group. He had sex with the female ones to initiate
them."
They NSCDC boss said that the suspects met every Friday
in the school premises.
Adeyinka pointed out that the command was still
investigating and would soon charge them to court
Speaking with newsmen, one of the female suspect
confessed that three of them were initiated by her
boyfriend who is a student of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Owo
identified as 'Sergeant'
The 15-year-old suspect said she joined the group in
November last year when Sergeant introduced the group to
her and her friends .
According to her" He had sex with the three of us in his
house and after the sex he inflicted cuts in our hands to
take our blood and told us that we had joined his group.''
She added that they used to meet inside the bush at the
back of their school every Friday after the school hours.
The NSCDC commandant said the command had been on
the trail of the other fleeing suspects and assured that
they would soon be arrested.

» ''How Four Friends Raped Me'' – 14-Year-Old Girl«

our friends, Femi Olatunji, 17; Oyekanmi Rasheed, 18;
Oladele Habib, 18 and John Alade, 16, are currently chilling
at the police net in Lagos, for allegedly raping 14-year-old
Habibat Adeolu (not real names).
Speaking to Saturday PUNCH when the men of the Special
Anti-Robbery Squad of the Lagos State Command paraded
some suspected criminals recently, Habibat said the
friends threatened to kill her if she told anybody about the
incident.
Narrating her ordeal, the young girl who said she had
known Femi as her tailor, said she went to him to have her
dress mended when he and his friends pounced on her.
“Femi had once told me he would want to marry me and I
told him I wasn’t interested.
That particular day, I had gone to his shop to give him a
dress to fix for me. He said Brother Abidoye (I used to run
errands for him) was calling me. I got to Brother Abidoye’s
room and I didn’t see him.
“At that point, Femi and his friends entered the room,
switched off the light and they raped me. I tried shouting
and calling for help but because they had tied my mouth, I
couldn’t shout very well.
“When they finished, my private part was paining me. I had
to tell my mother what happened. That was when she
alerted the police and the boys were arrested,” she said.
However, the young men claimed they didn’t rape her
saying it was a consensual act.
Speaking to our correspondent, Femi said Habibat has
been his girlfriend for about a year and she actually paid
her for the sex they had.
“She is just lying against me. We have been dating since
last year. She is more than 14 years old. She came to my
shop that day and I suggested to her that we should enter
the room. She said I should give her money. I asked her
how much she wanted and she said N1,000. I gave her and
we went inside and we had sex.
“My friends were outside. We couldn’t have held her hand.
A lot of people were even outside. If we had forced her,
people would have seen us. Her dad even met me and
asked if I would accept her as my wife if she gets pregnant
and I said I would because she is my girlfriend. Her dad
said I should go because I didn’t have a problem. I have
been sleeping with her since because she is my girlfriend.
In his own defence, Oyekanmi said Habibat readily agreed
to have sex with him.
“We were at Femi’s place and she and Femi entered the
room. Later on, I entered the room because I wanted to
charge my phone. I didn’t see Femi there but I saw the girl
Unclad. She wasn’t crying. So I told her I wanted to have
sex with her and she said I should go ahead.”
Oladele as well, insisted Habibat collected money from
Femi and also agreed to have sex with them.
“She was very comfortable with what we did. When I got to
the room, I told her she should allow me to take my own
turn and she readily agreed. Nobody held her. People have
been sleeping with her. This wasn’t the first time. We all
know her in our area.
She readily gives to anybody who asks for it.

» Armsgate: EFCC Traces N4.8bn To Obanikoro’s Children's Accounts - Daily Post «

Messr Babajide and Gbolahan Obanikoro, two sons of
former Minister of state for Defence, Senator Musiliu
Obanikoro, may soon be arrested by the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
This indication follows a disclosure that N4,745,000,000.00
was traced to a company the duo have interest in, Sylvan
McNamara Limited.
According to Vanguard, the money was allegedly paid in
several tranches into the company’s account number:
0026223714 with Diamond bank from the Office of the
National Security Adviser account with the CBN.
It was gathered that all the transfers were effected
between June and December, 2014.
First, N200 million was transferred into Sylvan Mc
Namara’s account on June 5, 2015, while N2billion was
also wired into the account from the CBN/ Imprest Main
account on June 16, 2015.
Another transfer of N700 million entered the account on
July 7, 2014, while N1billion was credited to the account
on July 30, 2014.
Other transfers included: N160 million on August 8, 2014;
N225 million on August 22, 2014; N200 million on

The newspaper said its sources disclosed that both
Gbolahan and Babajide Obanikoro, as directors of the
company, were also signatories to its account until 2014
when one Olalekan Ogunseye was made the sole signatory
to the account.
The payments were said to have emanated from the office
of the National Security Adviser as payment for a job not
yet known.

» 10 Killed In Bauchi Suicide Bomb Attack «

At least people were killed when a suicide bomber blew
himself up on Friday at a busy market in a town in Bauchi
where the Boko Haram group is waging an insurgency,
residents and a Red Cross official told Reuters.
Boko Haram has been waging an almost seven-year
campaign in Nigeria’s remote north to build an Islamic
state. Thousands have been killed and more than two
million people displaced by the campaign.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but the
attack bore the hallmarks of Boko Haram, which has been
using suicide bombers since the army, helped by
neighbours Chad and Cameroon, expelled the group from
territory it had captured previously

» "Olumofin Brothers Asked To Leave Toolz & Tunde Demuren's Wedding" «

Rumours earlier on today went viral that the Olumofin
Brothers – Adejoro and Dokun, were asked to leave the
venue of Toolz and Tunde's traditional wedding today.
According to an eyewitness, Tolu and Tunde's parents
asked the brothers to leave.
You recall Beat FM OAP Gbemi and the brothers recently
had a scandalous fallout on Twitter/Instagram. Joro and
his brother Dokun shared pics and video of them at the
wedding and have now debunked the news.
According to one of the brothers, Joro, they weren't
bounced from the wedding, they left on their own.
Joro said:
"We went to the wedding to greet Babatunde Tolu
Demuren. We had no intention to stay, just to avoid fracas.
The rumor was orchestrated by Noble Igwe and Gbemi,
just to swing things in their favor.''
The question on everybody's lips right now is - how would
anybody buy so many yards of fabric just to go and
greet??

» Security Alert: Terrorists Now Disguising As ‘Mad People’ «

he Nigeria army has warned members of the public to be
wary of people dressed as “mad men”, especially in the
north-east, saying they could be suicide bombers waiting
to detonate their explosive devices.
Rabe Abubakar, a brigadier-general and and acting director
of defence information, issued the warning on Saturday,
following Friday’s bomb blast at Gombi market, Adamawa
state, that resulted in the death of 10 people.
“It has come to the notice of the Defence Headquarters
(DHQ) that Boko Haram members, in their desperation to
cause colossal havoc, have now devised a new method
where they dress like mad persons to gain unsuspecting
access to public areas to detonate bombs,” Abubakar said
in a statement.
“The 2 male suicide bombers, dressed like mad women
and carried out suicide bomb attack in Gombi, Adamawa
state, is instructive in this direction. Five people lost their
lives and several others were wounded in the heinous
attack by these ungodly people.
“The Defence Headquarters therefore urges our fellow good
citizens across the country to be wary of mad persons
approaching markets, public places or crowded areas so as
to nip this ugly trend in the bud.
“Nigerians are also enjoined to be security-conscious at
all times and should endeavour to report any suspicious
person or object to security agencies for prompt action.”

» ''I Borrowed Money For His Studies, Now He Says I’m Old'' - Wife Tells Court «

There was a mild drama recently at the Agboyi/Ketu
customary court when a woman Ethel Amagala 53, who had
earlier approached the court for the dissolution of her
marriage with one Emmanuel Amagala, 60, stormed the
court in anger over newspaper publication of her divorce
case.
Mrs Amagala whose children had earlier pleaded the court
to discontinue the case, said her husband also became
angry when he read their divorce story in the newspaper
(not Vanguard). She said: “The children want the case
discontinued as it is causing embarrassment to the family.
They said they would find a way to bring peace into the
family.”
She had on the November 12, 2015 approached the court
for a divorce with her estranged husband who she said
took a new younger wife. The President, Mr. O. T. William
however lampooned Mrs Amagala over her behaviour
noting that the court was a public place and could not
have stopped journalists from doing their job.
The embattled woman sought divorce on the grounds of
abandonment, infidelity, lack of love and threat to life. “My
husband constantly tells me I’m old.”
Narrating how she met her husband over 27 years ago, she
said: “When he was studying at the Teachers’ Institute in
Bayelsa, he did not have money to take care of the family;
I was frying and selling chips in Bayelsa and even
borrowed money for his studies.”
When we had our first child, it was my elder sister who
paid for the hospital bill and took care of me and the baby
for three months. The situation remained same until 1991
when he took up an appointment with the NNPC, as a
manager. Now, he decided to marry a younger woman and
calls me a witch saying “I am old.”
She further claimed that her husband constantly beats her,
leaving her with injuries. “He had one day threatened me
with a knife in the presence of our tenants who rescued
me as he would have stabbed me with the knife.” Mr
Emmanuel Amagala denied the allegation of assault story
on his wife but told the court he abandoned the house he
built and decided to live alone in a rented apartment
because of her incessant nagging attitude which he
described as unbearable. The President however asked the
couple to go home and make their marriage work.

» "Iheanacho Is A Manchester City Star In Waiting" - Goal.com «

The 19-year-old Nigerian is no stranger to City fans but is
yet to receive a great deal of recognition elsewhere,
something which is sure to change in the coming weeks
and months
It's time to talk about Kelechi Iheanacho. Manchester City
fans know they have got a serious talent on their hands
and, soon enough, the rest of the world will know what all
the fuss is about.
The 19-year-old Nigerian, recruited after lighting up the
2013 Under-17 World Cup, only got his papers through last
February and spent time at Colombus Crew in the United
States and was even stationed out in Barcelona as work
permit issues dragged on. He was wowing City fans before
he was officially a City player - showing flashes on two
pre-season tours and impressing for the club's Elite
Development Squad - and moments like today feel a long
time coming.
After more than a year's worth of red tape, he has wasted
little time showing what he's capable of, but still he is far
from a household name
Just seconds into his second ever competitive senior
appearance, against Crystal Palace back in September, he
drifted into exactly the right area at exactly the right time
to score a vital, last-gasp winner for a team who had
established themselves as runaway favourites for the title.
Unfortunately for him, that fell the same day as Anthony
Martial made his first impression on English football,
coming off the bench to score a fairytale goal against
Liverpool on his first appearance for Manchester United.
Chelsea had lost to Everton that lunchtime as Jose
Mourinho's second spell at Stamford Bridge began to
unravel, leaving Iheanacho pushed off the back pages and
shunted towards the end of Match of the Day.
Wider exposure would have to wait. Until today, perhaps.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini has been criticised by many
fans for failing to give Iheanacho more first-team action,
even as Sergio Aguero and Wilfried Bony have missed out
through injury, meaning he has largely had to strut his stuff
in cup competitions or in late league cameos. It's hard to
say he could have done much more.
The youngster scored on his first senior start, against
Palace in the League Cup, and was - finally, in the eyes of
some - handed a full Premier League debut against
Norwich City in the next game at the end of October. That
was one opportunity he failed to grasp and found himself
limited to late substitute appearances, often when the
game was long lost, for the next 10 weeks: he did not start
another league match until January 16.
In that time another League Cup goal against Hull City
seemed to have fallen off the radar of the general football
conciousness, and he was very fortunately credited with
another dramatic winner, this time when Yaya Toure's shot
deflected off his back and looped into the Swansea net.
It was at Norwich City in the last round of the FA Cup
when he made it five goals in four starts with a cool effort
from the edge of the box, but that strike and an impressive
wider performance was limited to short internet highlights
for the majority of City fans, let alone neutrals, given the
FA Cup's limited television audience - and lack of illegal
streams - around the world.
He had linked up well with Aguero in a 4-4-2 that day but
the experiment was not particularly successful when
tested again in the league against Palace a fortnight ago.
On Saturday, though, he was chosen as the lead striker in a
4-2-3-1 shape and took full advantage. Just four minutes
in he bundled home a corner - another instinctive strike -
to put City ahead. Fabian Delph, the former Aston Villa
man, had a toy snake waved at him by a young boy as he
lined up the set-piece. Instant karma at work in the
Midlands.
If Iheanacho's first goal of the day was somewhat scrappy,
the second highlighted his huge confidence. Raheem
Sterling had looked set to take the penalty he had won
seconds earlier, but Kelechi took the ball - without
argument, seemingly - put it on the spot, stuttered his run-
up to fox Brad Guzan and then slotted the ball slightly to
the left of centre of goal. It was one of those penalties that
can look terrible if not done properly. But Iheanacho knows
what he's doing.
Clearly. Having been put through on goal thanks to a
dreadful back-pass, he advanced on Guzan from just inside
the Villa half, kept his cool, sized up the big American
stopper, picked his spot and rolled in his hat-trick.
The evidence is there. Playing up front is no easy task for
the best of strikers, let alone a 19-year-old, but he has
shown that he has what it takes to play the role. The
goals will speak for themselves but a fine cross-field
through ball to Jesus Navas, reminiscent of his assist for
Manu Garcia earlier in the season, was also sublime.
Iheanacho has scored in all three competitions in which he
has played this season and is set to be included in City's
Champions League squad when the squad list is re-
submitted on Tuesday.
With Wilfried Bony still a couple of weeks away from fitness
- and, frankly, having failed to convince - and Aguero
unlikely to play every single game from now until the end
of the season, Iheanacho is ready to take centre stage.
Given that his previous exploits - largely in the cup - have
failed to earn him recognition as one of the Premier
League's top propsects, if not one of the best young talents
in world football, a stellar showing in the FA Cup against
the worst Villa team in recent memory is unlikely to win
over a great deal of new followers.

Chelsea sign striker Pato on loan

Chelsea have signed Brazil striker Alexandre Pato on loan
from Corinthians until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old has made 27 appearances for his national
team, scoring 10 goals, and represented his country at
both the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games.
"I am so happy to sign for Chelsea," said Pato. "It is a
dream for me, I'm looking forward to getting to know my
new team-mates and cannot wait to play.
"I thank Chelsea for their support and hope I can repay this
faith."
The Blues, who won the Premier League last season, have
had a disappointing campaign and are 13th in the table,
although they are still in the Champions League.
Interim manager Guus Hiddink does not think the signing of
Pato is a risk.
"It's not a gamble. Coming on loan makes it possible to
view if he can adapt to the league," said Hiddink.
Chelsea are also set to sign New York Red Bulls defender
Matt Miazga, 20.
"We're not rushing, but he will be one of the squad
members for the future," added Hiddink.

Facebook bans private gun adverts

Private individuals will no longer be allowed to advertise
guns on Facebook and Instagram, the photo-sharing
service owned by Facebook.
Facebook had already banned the sale of guns without ID
checks, but the new rules aim to stop all gun trade
between individuals on the sites.
Businesses can still advertise guns on Facebook and
Instagram.
The move comes three weeks after US President Barack
Obama unveiled new restrictions on gun purchases.
Mr Obama's executive actions included background checks
for all gun sellers and the need for states to provide
information on people disqualified from buying guns due to
mental illness or domestic violence.
The rule change brings gun sales under the same
restrictions placed on illegal drugs and pharmaceuticals by
Facebook, that has 1.59bn users worldwide.
Facebook "was unfortunately and unwittingly serving as an
online platform for dangerous people to get guns," Shannon
Watts, of the Everytown for Gun Safety campaign group,
told Associated Press.
The group said it had found evidence that, in two cases,
guns had been bought on the site and used to kill others.
Everytown for Gun Safety was one of a number of groups
that had called on Facebook to change its policy.
The National Rifle Association (NRA), which opposes
changes to gun legislation, has not yet responded to
Facebook's decision.
In 2014, the NRA said previous moves by the network to
limit gun advertising were insignificant.
In late 2013, New York's attorney general, Eric T
Schneiderman, wrote to Facebook, alerting them to "a
number of groups in which users promoted the sale of
assault rifles, handguns, rifles, shotguns and gun parts."
Several hours after Facebook's announcement on Friday,
dozens of groups on the site advertising private gun sales
remained live.
Some users writing on the groups' walls suggested starting
new groups under inconspicuous names to avoid detection.

The Jewish girl who shook Hitler's hand

Hanni Begg was a Berlin schoolgirl when the Nazis came
for her family in 1943. Through sheer luck she evaded
capture before later coming face-to-face with Hitler. This
is her story of survival.
Her father had a plan for when the Nazis came for their
family - they would kill themselves with cyanide.
But both the 14-year-old and her father were out when, in
1943, the Gestapo arrived at their third-floor flat in Berlin.
Her younger brother Max and sister Ruth were not so
lucky, they spent the rest of their short lives in Auschwitz-
Birkenau concentration camp.
"I never saw my brother and sister again," said Hanni, now
86.
"I knew I wouldn't see them again, that was quite clear to
me. I never had any more hope, by that time I knew too
much.
"At first I cried. Then I just had to carry on and put it at
the back of my mind."
After Hanni's mother died of cancer in 1939, her father
warned her of the threat their small Jewish family faced
from the Nazis.
"They took all of our money and wouldn't give us ration
books," she recalled.
"Right away my father talked about Mein Kampf [Hitler's
self-penned blueprint for a Third Reich] to me. He said I
had to be aware I would be surrounded by anti-semitism
but would have to be very proud of my Jewish background.
"He also said we would get a letter from the Gestapo on
some day saying they would come and collect us and take
us to a camp for our own protection, each must prepare a
suitcase, all our belongings would be returned when we
came back.
"My father knew this was all lies. He told us not to believe
the propaganda. He said we would never go to a camp.
"He brought out a box which had four cyanide tablets in it,
he said when we get that letter we will all take the tablets
and die.
"I thought that was romantic, that we would die together."
The letter never came, but the Gestapo did.
"When I came home from school some neighbours were
waiting outside and said I wasn't to go in because the
Gestapo would be waiting to take me away. I didn't see my
father again for years.
"I had to disappear, but there was always some help from
somebody despite the danger to themselves."
She lived with neighbours and friends who hid her real
identity, part of which involved her going to school.
And it was there that she came face to face with Adolf
Hitler.
"He came to our school. I was in the front row and I was
the only child in that class from a Jewish background but I
didn't look Jewish.
"He was surrounded by guards, we shook hands for a
second and it was all finished.
"Afterwards I felt ashamed I had actually done it but I
couldn't have done anything else.
"Firstly, I didn't have enough time to think about, and
secondly, it would have been very dangerous if I hadn't."
As the war came to a close, Hani finally located her father
through a friend - he was living in a room in a bombed-out
house in the city.
He was suffering from tuberculosis and died on 9 May
1945 as soon as he found out the war was over.
Hanni buried him in the yard.
She was then adopted by another family before a friend
saw an advert for young German women to move to Britain
to train as nurses for the newly formed NHS.
Hanni moved and eventually married a doctor, settling in
Guisborough near Middlesbrough, where she has lived ever
since.
"Do I feel grateful to have survived? Not always, no, I've
felt guilty a lot of my life that I'm the one here. Why should
I have survived?
"It was just a stroke of luck that I wasn't there when the
Gestapo came that I survived.
"I've had a happy life and normal life now, managed to
have a family and I'm grateful for that."

» ''My Life Is In Danger'' - Sunday Oliseh Cries Out «

The Super Eagles to the CHAN 2016 in Rwanda returned to
Nigeria last night but without the team’s helmsman
Sunday Oliseh who returned to his base in Belgium.
His decision not to return home according to the Nigeria
Football Federation, (NFF) is to enable him continue with
treatment for the flu he has been battling with since last
year.
However Oliseh’s decision not to return with the team is
beginning to raise questions on why he is afraid of home.
Very dependable sources informed Daily Sunsport that the
former Super Eagles defender and captain confessed that
he is afraid for his life. Our source hinted that Oliseh had
confided in a close associate that some people are after
his life in Nigeria and is beginning to think twice about his
health.
“Oliseh no longer feels safe being in Nigeria. Recall that all
through the team’s camping for CHAN 2016 in Abuja, he
refused to show up but was the first to hit South Africa for
the second phase of camping in Pretoria. After his team
lost out of CHAN, he left for Belgium on the excuse that he
had to go and continue treatment for his flu. That action
speaks volumes about his fears.”
Reacting to the allegation that Oliseh’s life is in danger,
NFF spokeman, Ademola Olajire said there is no truth
about the rumour.
“Did Oliseh not grow up here in Nigeria, so why would he be
afraid of anyone in Nigeria? Agreed that Nigerians are very
passionate about football and would castigate any coach
that does not produce results but that is not enough for
anyone to insinuate that his life is in danger. The reason
for his travelling back to Belgium is to continue with his
treatment for the flu,” Olajire stated.
It is recalled that coach Sunday Oliseh was flown out to
Belgium to see his personal physician as a result of his
deteriorating health condition on October 25, 2015.
A close source to the coach at that time was quoted as
saying: “As I speak with you now Oliseh has left the Port
Harcourt camp of the Super Eagles and has been hurriedly
flown to Belgium via Lufthansa. Oliseh’s health condition
has really worsened.
“I have never seen Oliseh in this very worrisome health
situation like this since about three decades that I have
been close to him. I am praying fervently to Almighty God
to save him and give him speedy recovery.”

» Arsenal Set To Sign Nigerian Starlets Kelechi Nwakali & Samuel Chukwueze «

Arsène Wenger is confident that Arsenal will complete the
signings of the Nigeria youth internationals Kelechi
Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze before the transfer
deadline on Monday.
But the manager suggested he would make no senior
additions to supplement the purchase of Mohamed Elneny
as the club’s injury situation had improved significantly.
More on this topic
Wenger goes into Saturday’s FA Cup tie at home to
Burnley with only Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere as long-
term casualties. Francis Coquelin is back in contention
weeks ahead of schedule after a knee problem and Tomas
Rosicky also back from knee trouble.
Danny Welbeck has returned to full training, having been
out since April of last year with a knee injury, but he will
need a few more weeks before he is competitive again.
Wenger said that David Ospina would start in goal against
Burnley and he is expected to give Elneny, who joined two
weeks ago from Basel, his full debut. Per Mertesacker is
suspended after his red card in the home loss to Chelsea
last Sunday.
“The team news is quite good because we have many
players in training,” Wenger said. “The only ones who are
off training are Wilshere and Cazorla. We have 23 players in
training, although not everybody is fully competitive.
Welbeck still needs some training but he is back in full
training.
“Will there be any other business?
No, not at the moment. As I told you, I have 23 players in
training, plus two is 25 and unless people go out, we are
not on the verge of bringing anyone in.” Nwakali, an
attacking midfielder, was the player of the Under-17 World
Cup in Chile last year, which Nigeria won, and at which his
team-mate Chukwueze, a winger, also impressed.
They are part of the Diamond Football Academy in Nigeria.
“The talks are progressing well,” Wenger said. “Do I expect
them to be done this month? Yes. Of course, there are
work permit issues and medical issues, because they have
to take medicals. But it is progressing well.
“We identified Nwakali as the player of the tournament,
basically, and as a top player. We will see if we can
manage to get it over the line during this transfer period.
[If we can], we will do it. Chukwueze is [signing] as well.”

» APC Supporter Digs Up What Okonjo-Iweala Said When Oil Was $76 Per Barrel «

Nigerians should brace for tougher economic times ahead,
the Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has said as
crude oil prices slipped to a four year low on Wednesday.
New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) December WTI oil
futures sold at $75.20 per barrel on Wednesday, down
$1.98, from $74.96 per barrel the previous day, the lowest
level for a most-active contract since September 2010.
Though the price of sweet crude, the blend of oil export
from Nigeria, rose marginally at the close of trading on
Wednesday to $76.96 per barrel, it has already crashed
below the $79 per barrel benchmark approved in the 2014
Appropriation Act, concerns are mounting that tough times
are indeed ahead.
The Federal Government had attributed the declining
revenues to the fall in prices at the international oil
market.
After drawing from the ECA, Minister of State for Finance,
Bashir Yuguda, said the balance in the account had
dropped further from $4.1 billion to about $1.34 billion at
the moment.
But Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala said in Lagos on Tuesday that the
economic indicators show there are tougher times ahead.
According to her, Nigeria would begin to feel the impact of
the dropping oil prices at the international oil market,
which commenced since the first half of the year.
“The country must brace up for tougher times ahead”, she
said. “We need to review our expenditures and build
economic buffers through budgets that would be based on
modest oil prices.”
She underlined the importance of a sound macro-
economic management to Nigeria at this time, particularly
the need to plug all revenue leakages.
“We have not yet seen the impact of the falling oil prices
in Nigeria. It will start this month. We have to drive the
non-oil revenue base to be able to weather the storm that
is coming,” the Minister said.

» Finally, Blackface Reveals What He Wants From 2Baba «

The crisis currently being witnessed in the Nigerian
entertainment industry is taking a new turn as the day
goes by and while some issues are being put to rest, some
are beginning to come up.
Latest of such issues has been the allegation of song theft
between Blackface and 2Baba and Wizkid.
Blackface who has been in the news lately over the
allegation feels 2Baba whom they have been together from
day one is not treating him fairly after making hits with
some of his works.
Not being specific about some of the songs, during an
interview with TVC morning programme, Your View,
monitored by Nigeriafilms.com, where he was a celebrity
guest, the singer stated that he does not want anything
from 2Baba but just simple acknowledgment either from
him or any other person using his works.
In his words, “2face feels I am someone you can trample
upon. I am one person that have thought these guys how
to be a good song writer and thought them the rudiments
of music, yet they will just see one as nothing. I am not
expecting anything from 2face just simple credits. Just
like when Kennis music signed him, they did ‘African
Queen’ and I was not given credit and that took them
time.”
Blackface was later advised that rather than continually
have issues with artistes over song theft, he should rather
make it a business whereby he writes and give the likes of
Omawumi to sing but he was not comfortable with the idea
as he cleared the air that he is not a freelance writer.
“No. There are people we call freelance writer and I am not
such a person. I have people I am writing for and then I
know we have an agreement together so I can’t just write
song for anybody,” he added.

» "10 Categories Of Students That Request For Extra Booklets During Exam" «

I have carefully and systematically observed quite a fairly
few sizeable number of students who request for extra
answer sheets in the exam hall, and writing exam
yesterday actually gave an incentive that led to the birth of
this article cheesy
10 Categories of Students That Request for Extra Booklets
During Exam
1. The Oppressors
These categories of students will always top a list like
this. They request for extra sheets primarily not because
they actually need it but to subject other students to
undue pressures making them look like they know nothing.
I wrote a very tedious exam yesterday that threw me into
a condition where I was looking up to heaven to provide
answers to the Greek look alike questions, when this dude
subjected all of us to undue pressures by requesting for
extra sheets, making us feel like we have only come to
school not to learn but for excursion cheesy . Please, join me in
prayer so that the lecturer will score me well. cheesy
2.. The Photocopiers
This is the category where I belong (as I no sabi book, at
least, I suppose sabi copy well na) cheesy The photocopiers
will copy the copiable answers of both friends and enemies
regardless of their GPs (whether the GPs of those they are
copying are 0.92, 1.00, 1. 1.25, for all they care) as long as
their pens are busy. They will add the answers gotten from
Noah to the one from Jarus, joined to the one from Seun
Osewa, Wristbangle and Oliviaarims. Before you know it,
they will write more than anyone else. When their booklets
become voluminous and can no longer contain answers,
they will request for extra sheets
3. The "I too know"
During lectures, these students will sometimes argue with
lecturers and create argumentative scenes in the class;
they ask both relevant and irrelevant questions in the
lecture hall with a view of gaining publicity. They will ask
questions during lectures and will still be the ones to
answer it themselves (how ironical? cheesy ). You would think
they will hit first class/distinction because of their display
of vast knowledge in all courses. They will go into the
exam hall with this same character. When a lecturer asks
" Lucidly define Constitution". They will continue to write
and write and go off point; they will narrate how Moses
delivered the Israelites from Bondage; and how King
Solomon married 500 wives and lusted after 300
concubines; they will even add Biblical references. When
their booklets have been filled up, they will request for
sheets to finish up their bull-crap.
4. The Story Tellers
They share similar characteristics with the "I too know"
students. The story tellers can't explain or define theories
without telling stories to justify their answers. Their
stories and digression get their booklets quickly filled up.
5. The Scholars
Of course, these ones are undoubtedly very brilliant. They
will logically, lucidly and analytically answer exam
questions and may demand extra booklets when need be.
When they request for extra sheets, be sure that they will
get nothing less than an "A", unlike the "I too know" crew
who would demand extra sheets and still end up with an
"E"
6. Masquerade Carriers
In case you don't know, masquerade carriers is a synonym
for "expo colonial masters" who are talented in carrying
'expo'. They are so skilled that they will still manoeuvre
their way out even if thousands of invigilators are deployed
to their exam hall. They will request for extra sheets,
smuggle it into their pockets and will take it to their
hostels. They will copy answers on it for the exam they are
having the next day.
7. The Competitors
They say life is a race, if you don't run fast, you may get
trampled.. The competitors dwell in this notion that life is
a race, therefore, when they spot a student requesting for
an extra sheet, they will also request for extra sheets so as
to compete with that person cheesy
8. The Wetty-Palm Students
The size of their handwriting font is as big as Olumo rock;
just two answers, their booklets don full. A blind man won't
even find it hard to read their booklet at a glance. But dont
be suprised that some of the petty-wetty palm student will
get capital 'E' and 'D' when the results come out.
9. The Misspellers
I also fall in this same category. We are called misspellers
cos we aren't good in spelling. Often, I even misspell my
own names, department and course title and I will have
cross it out and look at my school ID card to write correct
spelling of my own name. By dint of our deficiencies in
spelling, our booklets becomes so rough and illegible to
read, hence, we cant help but demand for new sheets for
fresh work
10. Feel free to add the last one
I drop my pen at this point

» ''What A Husband Needs From A Wife Is Never Sex'' «

Sex is an important element in marriage and until there is
sexual intercourse between a husband and a wife, the
marriage is not yet spiritually recognized. This shows how
important sex is in marriage.
When you look at how aggressive men are towards sex
you may think that what a man needs from a woman is
sex. Of course, if he has not married you yet or he does
not really intend to marry you what he will need from you
is nothing above your body. But if he really intends to
marry you or if you guys are already married sex is never
what he needs from you - maybe let me say it better;
"WHAT A MAN NEEDS MOST FROM A WOMAN IS NOT
SEX."
Many young girls think because they are sexually active
and experience they will easily be married and have their
husbands loving them. And when a man approaches for
marriage they think the greatest asset they have to show
the man is sex. Others also think once they are giving out
their bodies it means they are giving out the best for which
reason they will be chosen above all.
There is this young girl who is very beautiful and sexually
active. Due to that she thought sex is all that matters to a
man. Ironically, she struggled for long before finally getting
married. Her sexual dexterity could not win her the heart of
a man until out of the blue and reason beyond imagination
a very handsome good man married her. The wedding was
grand and her tears were now gone. Unfortunately only a
year after the wedding the marriage fell on rocks. Within
five years three different men came her way but none
could stay.
The problem was simple. She thought sex was all that
matters so she would never submit. But submission is
what men need, not sex. It is time for our young ladies to
know that when a man is ready to marry he will not look
out for a woman who will satisfy his sex drive but a woman
who will submit herself to him. Excuse my language,
"every woman has vagina but not every woman has
humility." So when you are a humble woman, you are an
expensive jewelry. And a man of integrity will fear to lose
you.
What does the Holy Bible say, "wife, submit to your
husband." The reason is that a man's true love goes out
only for a woman who is submissive. Your beauty cannot
make another woman ugly but your humility can let him
love you above all other women.
Sadly, many youngs ladies in our days call submission as
"control." And you will hear them saying in tiny romantic
voices, "As for me I don't want any man to control me oh."
If you don't want to submit don't think of marriage because
no man in his right sense will offer his love to a woman
whose heart is higher than his height, no matter how short
he may be.
When a woman bows her knee before a man, the man will
automatically bow his heart before her love. And love her
sincerely.
There are, of course, recalcitrant men who will not value
women of humility but I tell you that every true man does
not need sex, but submission. It is submission that truly
makes you a romantic wife. So be the African queen you
want to be but when it comes to dealing with your
husband, play the role of a humble maid. Don't forget that
it is the spirit of humility that has caused many maids to
hijack their mistresses' husbands. Be your man's queen
and be his maid also.
I wish you all the best as you submit in your relationship
and marriage. May God bless you with good marriage, my
dear sister.

» ''7 Secrets Of Scoring 280 And Above In JAMB'' «

It baffles me a lot whenever I meet with Jambites who
struggle to score barely 200 in JAMB. I begin to ask
myself, “What is so difficult about JAMB that lots of
students struggle with it?” From my findings, I discovered
that lots of students are not knowledgeable about how to
pass JAMB and pass it very well.
It is not as difficult as most students think. As a result of
this, I decided to come up with this write-up which I titled
“7 Secrets of getting 280 and above in JAMB.” The seven
secrets are discussed below;
1. Set a Target
Personally, I believe that there is nothing impossible that
one cannot achieve. In scoring 280 and above in UTME
exam, the first step is for you to believe you can achieve
and set a target on the score you want to have in the end
of the day.
Overtime, I have observed that most students do not have
a specific score they want to have in the JAMB. All they do
is just to read without a specific target. However, I always
encourage Jambites to set very high score as their target.
Setting a target will help you to be focused on what you
want to achieve in the exam.
2. Study smart
It is not all about studying hard; it is about studying
smart. Kindly get the JAMB syllabus and past questions,
studying closing to identify the core topics JAMB often
repeat year in year out. If you can study those topics very
well, I think the job is half way done. Also, understand your
study pattern and not emulate friends. I used to have
friends who loved drinking lots of water whenever they
were studying. Hence, it is left for you to learn to study
smart in preparing for the exam.
3. Practice
I remember practicing my JAMB past questions up to a
point where I knew almost all the answers off hand. I had
different forms of past questions for every of my subjects.
What I am trying to point out is it is very important for you
to practice very closely especially the JAMB past question
because it will expose you to the patterns of questions set
by JAMB. Also it has been proven over time that JAMB
repeats questions from previous years. You can be
fortunate to come across such questions during your
exam.
4. Do not cheat
The prevalent thing among Jambites is relying on different
forms of examination malpractices to score very high in
the exam. But unfortunately for them, they end up having
very low scores despite the exam malpractices.
If you want to indeed score 280 and above in JAMB and
eventually gain the much-desired admission, stay away
from exam malpractices before, during and after the exam.
Funny enough, majority of courses taken by year-one
students are topics selected from JAMB syllabus. So if you
fail to study now, if you still encounter those topics even
after you gained admission through the back door.
5. Rest
I know this point may seem unnecessary to you, but it is
of great importance if you truly want to perform very well
in your UTME exam. The problem most studious students
do have is their inability to set out time to have some
rest. The human brain is often stressed a lot by constant
study.
Hence, it is advisably for you to always take intermittent
rest. It looks so funny to me whenever I meet students
who study all night a day to their JAMB exam. To me, such
study places sheer pressure on them. A day to your JAMB
exam is for you to take out time to rest and ruminate on
what you have studied over time.
6. Gist with Friends
The popular saying that ‘no man is an Island’ is applicable
in this situation. As a jambites do not isolate yourself.
Make friends with fellow Jambites and exchange ideas with
them because you can never know everything on your own.
However, do not make friends with the dullards who would
draw you back all in the name of making friends; make
friends with those you will learn a great deal from.
I remember when I was preparing for JAMB in 2011, I
encountered a group of guys at the public library where I
used to study. These guys were very intelligent and I
learnt a lot from them. Aside learning from friends, making
good friends helps you to be abreast with any latest
rumour or news about the exam. I know a lot of people who
could have performed very well in JAMB if they had been
exposed to timely information.
7. God factor
The God-factor can never be ruled out. In everything you
do, put God first. The bare truth is you need God’s direction
when preparing to score 280 and above in JAMB. As a
matter of fact, such feat is attainable even without any
‘special centre’ during the exam. Personally, I do not
support or encourage students to enrol for ‘special centre’
for exams; I always believe in merit.

» Independence Day Bomb Blasts Suspect, Okah, On ‘Hunger Strike’ «

One of the suspects in the 2010 Independence Day bomb
blasts in Abuja, Charles Okah, has embarked on a hunger
strike to protest alleged harassment by officials of the Kuje
Prison.
Apart from embarking on hunger strike, Mr. Okah, who has
been in Kuje Prison since 2010, has threatened to file a
suit demanding N5 billion damages from the Federal
Government.
The threat is contained in a letter written by his counsel,
Timi Okponipere, dated January 21, and addressed to the
Minister of Interior, Abdulraman Dambazau.
The legal practitioner alleged that the officer in charge of
the Kuje Prison, Musa Tanko, has persistently harassed
and intimidated his client.
“At the time of writing this letter, our client is as
emaciated as a bean pole on account of the hunger strike
he has embarked upon, to draw global attention to his
plight,” the lawyer wrote.
“Literarily and figuratively speaking, our client is virtually a
dead man. If our client dies in prison custody, the entire
world, particularly the Ijaw nation and the Niger Delta
where our client hails from, shall rise in unison against
President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, even as we
concede the fact that, our client’s ordeal began during the
tenure of former President Goodluck Jonathan, a fellow
Ijaw.”
Mr. Okponipere said some prison officials on January 6, at
about 7am, gained entry into Mr. Okah’s cell and carted
away his books, journals and manuscripts.
He said the invasion of his client’s cell was based on the
orders of the head of the Kuje Prison, Musa Tanko.
According to him, one of the seized manuscripts contained
his prison memoirs, consisting of writings, drawings and
sketches of his prison journey.
However, he said another manuscript titled “Research
Study: Security Lapses and Vice in Kuje Prison,” carried
detailed report exposing security lapses, illicit sex,
indiscipline, corruption and other vices thriving such as
prison warders’ involvement in drug trafficking.
“Our client was to submit the report to the honourable
minister of interior, the national security adviser, NSA, as
well as the director general of the State Security Service,
SSS, before the unfortunate incident occurred,” the lawyer
wrote.
“Specifically, on January 10, when the honourable minister
of interior visited the prison, in company of the director
general, State Security Service, SSS, our client approached
the minister and conveyed his intention to forward a draft
copy of the research study to his (minister) office for
necessary action.
“Secondly Sir, following our client’s bold initiative to
approach the minister of interior during his visit to the
prison, our client has been kept in solitary confinement
within the Prison Service since January 10, 2016 by Mr.
Tanko and his officers, ostensibly as a punitive, vindictive
and malicious measure, to force our client to back down
from his avowed determination to expose the ongoing rot
in the prison.”

» OAU Students Ask Buhari To Probe VC «

Hundreds of students of Obafemi Awolowo University on
Friday asked President Muhammadu Buhari administration
to probe the activities of the Vice Chancellor of the
university, Prof. Bamitale Omole.
The students passed the message to the President through
the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai
Mohammed, who was at the university.
They also bombarded the minister with requests that the
Federal Government should ensure decent hostels for
students on the campus.
The minister was at OAU to deliver the distinguished guest
lecture, titled ‘Nexus between corruption and
underdevelopment of Nigeria’ at the University’s Faculty of
Arts.
The students had staged series of protest against poor
condition of their hostels which led to the closure of the
school by the management late last year.
“Our halls of residence are in bad shape and my
colleagues are saying probe Omole (VC) and so on,” said
one of the students allowed to ask the minister a question.
“It is not only at the national level that the government
should concentrate its fight against corruption, it should
come to universities and we welcome President Buhari’s
war against corruption on OAU campus.”
The entire students present applauded the students, while
the minister promised to meet with the VC to discuss the
issue of students’ union leaders under suspension.
The minister urged Nigerians to support the government in
the fight, saying corruption had already started fighting
back.

» Metuh Issues First Statement Since His Release From Prison «

Mr. Metuh was freed on bail after over three weeks in
detention. He is standing trial for alleged corruption.
In his first public statement since leaving the Kuje prison,
Mr. Metuh said the PDP has since overcome the initial
trauma that accompanied the electoral setback of the 2015
general elections, and is now poised to regain power at the
center in 2019.
Mr. Metuh said the, “recent variance of voices” from its
members is as a result of the party’s foundation of liberal
democracy, which he described as a mark of strength,
adding that the party has adequate internal mechanisms to
resolve all issues within its fold.
The comments were contained in his opening remark at a
meeting of the party’s Publicity Directorate with some
visiting parliamentarians from the United Kingdom, led by
Mark Field, member of Parliament and Chairman of
International Office of the Conservative Party, and Colin
Bloom, Director of Outreach-BCP in Abuja on Friday.
He told the visitors that the PDP faced serious challenges
soon after it lost in the elections, culminating in the
resignation of its National Chairman, a development that
created some challenges within the party, but assured that
every issue would be resolved by the party leadership by
next week.
In his remark, Mr. Field advised the party to ensure that it
does not trash its brand in the face of challenges. He
noted that while it is common for some party members to
demand the removal of leaders after electoral defeat, care
must be taken not to jeopardize institutional memory in
the party.
“Never trash your brand no matter whatever the
government of the day is saying about you”, he said.
The interaction was attended by PDP publicity staff, social
media workers of the party and officials of the International
Republican Institute, IRI, who facilitated the visit.

» EFCC Closes In On Ex-Nigerian Defense Minister Obanikoro & Two Sons Over N4.8B «

SaharaReporters has exclusively learned that two sons of
Nigeria’s former Minister of State for Defense, Musiliu
Obanikoro, are currently on the radar of the Economic and
Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over a massive
amount of monies transferred to their accounts from funds
budgeted for the procurement of weapons and other
equipment for the country’s military. Two sources at the
anti-graft agency told a correspondent of SaharaReporters
that the EFCC had traced N4.745 billion to the bank
account of Sylvan McNamara Limited, a company in which
the former minister’s two sons, Ibrahim Babajide and
Gbolahan Olatunde Obanikoro, have major interest.
Our sources disclosed that the funds were paid in several
tranches into the company’s account number 0026223714
with Diamond Bank. The sources added that the funds
were paid from an account maintained by the Office of the
National Security Adviser at the Central Bank of Nigeria
(CBN).
One of the sources revealed that all the transfers were
made between June and December 2014. The period
coincided with the preparations for and the conduct of the
Ekiti State governorship election, ultimately won by
Ayodele Fayose of the Peoples Democratic Party.
SaharaReporters had exclusively obtained and released an
audiotaped conversation in which Mr. Obanikoro, Mr.
Fayose, former Minister for Police Affairs Jelili Adesiyan,
and a few other PDP stalwarts instructed a top military
officer, Brigadier General Momoh, on strategies for rigging
the election for the PDP governorship candidate by
intimidating supporters of then incumbent Governor Kayode
Fayemi. Mr. Kayode also inaugurated a new campaign
mode he nicknamed “stomach infrastructure,” which
involved the doling out of massive amounts of cash to
voters.
One investigator involved in looking into transfers of funds
to Sylvan McNamara’s account hinted that some of the
cash was routed to Mr. Fayose’s campaign.
For instance, on June 5, 2014, N200 million was transferred
into the account of the firm owned by Mr. Obanikoro’s two
sons. On June 16, 2014, few days before the election of Mr.
Fayose, N2 billion was wired into the account from the
CBN account maintained by the Office of the National
Security Adviser. Another massive transfer, this time of
the sum of N700 million, landed in the Obanikoro-affiliated
account on July 7, 2014. On July 30, 2014, N1 billion was
credited to the firm’s account. Other transfers included
N160 million on August 8, 2014, N225 million on August 22,
2014, N200 million on November 14, 2014, and N200 million
on December 5, 2014.
Our sources disclosed that both Gbolahan and Babajide
Obanikoro were listed as directors of the company earlier
incorporated in 2011 by Ikenna Ezekwe, Idowu Oshodi and
Elizabeth Adebiyi. They added that Mr. Obanikoro’s two
sons were also signatories to the company’s account until
2014 when one Olalekan Ogunseye was made sole
signatory.
Our EFCC sources disclosed that investigators had
discovered no contracts to back or justify the hefty
payments made by the Office of the National Security
Adviser, then headed by retired Colonel Sambo Dasuki, to
Sylvan McNamara Limited.
Mr. Dasuki and numerous politicians have been indicted for
illicit disbursement of more than $2 billion budgeted for the
procurement of weaponry to empower the Nigerian military
in its counter-insurgency operations against Islamist
militant group, Boko Haram. While Mr. Dasuki disbursed the
defense funds to politicians at the orders of former
President Goodluck Jonathan, the Nigerian Army suffered
high casualties as Boko Haram fighters attacked and
sacked several military barracks.
The former Defense minister, Mr. Obanikoro, is currently
resident in the US where he is reportedly registered as a
student of history at Oglethorpe University in Georgia, USA.
One of his two sons linked with the massive fraud resides
in Suwanee, Gwinnett County in the state of Georgia where
they own real estate purchased in August 2014.

» I Left N600m In Pentecostal Fellowship Of Nigeria's Account - Oritsejafor «

Former National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of
Nigeria, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, has said he left N600m in
the coffers of PFN and almost completed a secretariat for
the association.
Oritsejafor, who spoke to our correspondent in Warri, Delta
State, added that he also secured a land and built a 4-star
hotel for the Christian Association of Nigeria.
The clergyman stated that the hotel would be
commissioned and run by a consortium firm.
Oritsejafor, who described his critics as shameless and
faceless human beings who deserve deliverance from God,
noted that people usually do not talk about his
achievements.
He said, “My critics are faceless, shameless and they need
deliverance. By the grace of God, I have made myself
available to do the will of God and not to listen to
shameless detractors.”
The clergyman further said he would not rest in his bid to
see to the welfare of those displaced internally by the
activities of the violent sect, Boko Haram.

» Church Locks Out Commercial Sex Workers From New Year Eve Service «

In what is reminiscent of the biblical five foolish virgins
who were locked out of the feast of the bridegroom,
commercial sex workers hoping to get into church late for
prayers ringing in the New Year were shut out by security
at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in Akure on Thursday.
Many prostitutes who had attempted to sneak in for last
minute grace got the shock of their lives as they were
prevented from entering the church by the gatemen.
TheSunshineTimes.com gathered that there are many
brothels around the Sacred Heart Cathedral which cater to
the needs of men in search of quick sexual favours. It is
the custom of the ladies to make a late dash into the
church in order to crossover into the new year.
However, this year would be different and the
incident caused a bit of commotion at the gate as many
other people including revellers from adjoining bars were
also affected by the action of the gate men who were
trying to ensure that people with deadly weapons did not
sneak into the service to cause harm to the congregation.
One of the security men was heard murmuring: “Na God
catch dem today. Dem too like to always rush into church
at dying minute. Where dem dey before, yeye people.”
Some of the affected ladies, however, told
TheSunshineTimes.com that it was their personal
business to come to church at their own time.
“They should not stop us from entering at any time we like,
this is God’s house for crying out loud,” said a lady who
simply identified herself as Tina.
Eventually, those bent on crossing over into the new year
in a place of worship had to find alternatives at other
churches close by.

» The Orders For The Bail Of Dasuki & Kanu Should Be Obeyed - Femi Falana. «

For 16 years that the Peoples Democratic Party was in
power, the federal government exhibited total contempt for
the Rule of Law. The Constitution and other laws were
breached with impunity while court orders were disobeyed
on a regular basis. In the famous case of Attorney-General
of Lagos State v Attorney-General of the Federation (2005)
2 WRN 1 at 150 the Supreme Court held that "In our
democracy all the Governments of this country as well as
organizations and individuals must kowtow to the due
process and this they can vindicate by resorting to the
courts for redress in the event of any grievance."
One of the reasons why Nigerians voted for the candidate
of the All Progressive Congress, General Mohammadu
Buhari (rtd) during the last general election was his
promise to fight corruption and end impunity in the
country. Upon winning the election, President Buhari further
pledged to abide by the Rule of Law. To that extent, he has
a duty to ensure that all organs and officials of the
Government operate within the ambit of the law. In
particular, he should not allow overzealous security
personnel to engage in any form of impunity and thereby
expose the Government to unwarranted embarrassment.
In July last year, the State Security Service (SSS)
searched the private residence of former NSA, Col Sambo
Dasuki (rtd) at Abuja. When Col Dasuki alleged that his
house was illegally searched, I pointed out that the action
of the SSS was justified as there was a search warrant
validly issued by a magistrate court in the federal capital
territory that authorised the search. He was eventually
charged with money laundering and criminal diversion of
huge sums of public fund before the Federal High Court and
the Federal Capital Territory High Court at Abuja.
Notwithstanding the gravity of the offences, both courts
have admitted him to bail. But after he had met the bail
conditions the SSS decided to rearrest him at the gate of
Kuje prisons on the ground that investigations have not
been concluded in respect of other criminal allegations.
The decision of the SSS to ignore the order admitting Col
Dasuki to bail coupled with the failure to re-arraign him on
fresh charges is tantamount to impunity in every material
respect. If the federal government were aggrieved by the
order admitting Col. Dasuki to bail it should have
challenged it in the Court of Appeal. Much as the Nigerian
people are fully behind the Buhari Administration in the
patriotic move to recover the looted wealth of the nation,
the federal government should be advised to ensure that
the procedure for the loot recovery meets the tenets of the
rule of law. The SSS and other security agencies should
therefore refrain from allowing corruption to fight back by
playing into the hands of the criminal suspects who have
committed crimes against humanity by diverting money
earmarked for the procurement of arms and armament to
fight the terrorists.
In the same vein, the order admitting the leader of the
Indigenous People of Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, to bail
should also be complied with. If the federal government
has other charges against both suspects it should file them
in the court. There is no provision for keeping criminal
suspects at the pleasure of security officials. Meanwhile,
all valid and subsisting orders made by courts in favor of
criminal suspects should be obeyed without further delay.
To ensure that suspects are no longer held in custody in
any part of Nigeria without any legal justification section
34 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act has
imposed a duty on each the Chief Judges to designate a
Chief Magistrate and a Judge of the High Court to visit all
police stations and other detention centers within their
jurisdiction, at least once a month. During such visits,
appropriate directives shall be given while any officer who
detains any person illegally will be sanctioned.

» Nigeria Is Now A More Divided Country – Bishop Kukah «

Bishop Matthew Kukah of the Catholic Diocese
of Sokoto, on Sunday regretted the inequalities
between the public office holders in Nigeria and
the masses.
The Bishop, who spoke at the Holy Ghost
Cathedral Enugu in a thanksgiving mass to mark
the re-wedding of old Anambra State Governor,
Senator Jim Nwobodo and his wife in the
Catholic church, attributed the inequality to
corruption among public office holders.
He added that this had resulted in persistent
crisis and youth restiveness in the nation.
Bishop Kukah called on Igbos as a people with a
common language and culture to be united and
ensure security and peace in the area to
actualize socio-economic development,
regretting that Nigeria was today a country that
is more divided.
He observed that life did not depend only on
power and money, enjoining Christians
irrespective of their denominations to close
ranks and strive towards evangelism which is
the common goal.
Kukah, who gave a homily during the holy mass,
which also coincided with the service to mark
the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance /Appeal
Fund Week warned the catholic faithful not to be
over excited by feeling that they had gained
where the Anglicans lost, adding that there is
no gain and loss in the matter.
He appealed to all Christians to close ranks and
endeavour to achieve success in evangelism
which is the most important Christian goal.
Bishop Kukah Commended the Anglican Church
for nurturing Chief Jim Nwobodo from birth till
the time he joined Catholic church.
He added that Senator Nwobodo’s entry into the
Catholic church is a home coming, recalling that
all Christian churches pulled out from Catholic
church, because of the protest from the then
Rev. Fr. Martin Luther.
He warned that people should not judge others
but allow judgement for God.
The bishop expressed happiness that since the
enthronement of Pope Francis and the
emergence of his “down to earth simplicity and
freshness”, the Catholic church had continued
to grow.
In a remark, Senator Nwobodo noted that his
entry into the Catholic church as a home coming
which God has destined.
According to him, since he embraced Catholic
church, things have started turning around
positively for him and his family.
Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, who
was the sponsor of the wedding with his wife
Monica, took the first reading in the church
service attended by top government officials,
friends and relations of the celebrant, including
Bishop emeritus of Enugu Catholic Diocese,
Most. Rev. Dr. Anthony Gbuji, and the Bishop of
the Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga.

» Panel Of Inquiry Forced To Indict Amaechi – Member Reveals As He Defects To APC «

About one thousand members of the People
Democratic Party in Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni local
government area of Rivers State have defected
to the All Progressives Congress.
One of the most prominent defectors is Prof.
Henry Ogboma.
Prof. Ogboma was a member of the Judicial
Panel of Inquiry set up by the state Governor
Nyesom Wike, to probe the administration of the
former Governor of State, Rotimi Amaechi.
Prof. Ogboma made damning revelations, not
just concerning the PDP as a party but also with
regards to Governor Wike and his Panel of
Inquiry.
According to him, “when I was proposed as
member of the Judicial Panel of Inquiry, I told
them that I was not disposed to such an
assignment, but after I appraised the nature of
those who came to my house to persuade me to
accept the job, their utterances and advice, I
came to the conclusion that the assignment was
not open for my election. So I took it.
“The private briefing was more shocking and
worrisome to me. It was more like, ‘you guys
must look for something, you must create
something to indict Amaechi’.
“The Report was adjusted several times without
success. At some point I felt pity for the
Chairman. He was helpless. Please, I don’t want
to say more about that Panel for now. All I can
tell you is that the PDP is an assemblage of
greedy elements, militants and touts who have
no interest of the State at heart. The Governor
and the PDP are desperate and wickedly
mischievous. You need to be extremely careful
to stay around them.”
In the same vein, seven members of the PDP in
Ndele community in Emuoha local government
and about fifty others in Elelenwo community in
Obio Akpor local government also defected to
the APC.
Receiving the defectors at the different venues,
the running mate of the Governorship candidate
of APC, Asita Asita encouraged the people to
work for the party and development of the state.
Asita expressed hope that Rivers people would
have elections where voters would exercise their
fundamental rights.

» We've Won The War Against Boko Haram - Army «

THE Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai,
has said that the war against Boko Haram in the North-
East has been won and urged his men to sustain the
victory.
Buratai promised that the Nigerian Army would remain
vigilant and ready to contend with new strategies that
might be adopted by the terrorist group.
The army chief made this remark on Saturday while laying
the foundation stone for the new Brigade headquarters
complex at the 2 Brigade in Port Harcourt, the Rivers
State capital.
Describing the current military operations in the North-
East as critical, Buratai commended the soldiers for their
commitment towards the onslaught against terrorists.
He said, “The North-East operation is critical at this stage.
The terrorists have been defeated. These criminals may
rear their ugly heads through other means. We will
continue to maintain vigilance.
Buratai explained that the Federal Government would not
relent in giving special attention to the welfare of military
personnel.
Expressing satisfaction in the commitment to duty the 2
Brigade personnel, he pointed out that the Nigerian army
had always been celebrated globally for its high level of
professionalism and discipline.
The army chief urged soldiers to continue to maintain the
high level of discipline they were known for, even as he
commended the brigade for its effort in fighting oil theft in
the Niger Delta region.
Promising that government will give attention to the
medical needs of military personnel, Buratai added that the
Nigerian Army would not fail to tackle the problem of
accommodation in all the barracks across the country.
Apart from inspecting an ongoing five-bedroom block
project embarked upon by his office, Buratai also spoke
with wives of soldiers in the barracks and pledged Federal
Government’s commitment towards improving their
welfare.

» "Ten Things That Show That Your Prophet Or Prophetess Is Fake" «

Good day ladies and gentlemen, it's a privilege the
almighty creator has made me his spoke man to you
today. Those going about looking for prophets and
prophetesses(woli and alfa) should be careful. I'm not
saying you shouldn't visit them but..... The Holy books
made us know that they are fake prophets or prophetess.
The way churches and mosques are growing everyday are
like the growth of uncountable plants. The following are
good to watch out for in these prophets.
(1). The prophet or prophetess is fake if he/she has
prophesies that are not hundred percent accurate in
hundred percent of the time, or are manipulated to be true.
God cannot lie!
(2).He/She preaches and practices teachings outside the
Holy book (Bible or Quran).
(3).He/She uses almost all tricks to just get money from
you.
(4)He/She uses supernatural or occultic techniques in his
or her prophecy.
(5).He/She has rebellious and unrepented spirit.

(handkerchiefs, water, stones, etc) to perform miracles
without fasting and prayer as the only source.
(9).He/She puts on coloured garments, hand rings, chains

» Arms Probe Deal: Bakare Calls For The Arrest Of CBN Governor, Emefiele «

Fiery preacher and general overseer of The Latter Ran
Assembly, Lagos, Pastor Tunde Bakare has released his
state of the nation address tagged ”Roadmap to
successful change”.
Pastor Tunde Bakare is known for consistently contributing
his opinion to topical issues
Bakare, 61, who was the running mate to President
Muhammadu Buhari in the 2011 presidential elections
under the banner of the Congress for Progressive Change
(CPC), called for the prosecution of the Central Bank of
Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emiefiele, because of the
role of the apex bank in the widely publicised ongoing
arms probe deal.
Pastor Bakare is a known ally of President Muhammadu
Buhari According to The Cable, Bakare accused the CBN of
contributing negatively to the Nigerian economy, adding
that Emefiele should be booted out of office and
prosecuted.
Is Godwin Emiefiele’s job on the line?
He said: “The government must examine carefully, the
argument of economists, that sound monetary policy
including proper management of the exchange rate regime
by the CBN would eliminate the need for subsidies.
“The intricate connection between monetary policy on the
one hand and the fuel subsidy debate on the other, makes
the management of the CBN a major concern.
“To the discerning, the CBN currently contributes
negatively to the Nigerian state in more ways than one.
Firstly, the CBN has become a conduit for politicians to
drain the nation.
“Otherwise, how can a letter of barely two paragraphs
addressed to the current CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin
Emefiele, by the then National Security Adviser (NSA), Col.
Sambo Dasuki (rtd.) , become the Authority to Incur
Expenditure (AIE) leading to cash flow of $47 million (US
dollars) and several millions of euros? “In decent climes,
the CBN Governor cannot continue in office while the NSA
is accounting for his alleged misdeeds.”

The Day Nollywood Actress Bisi Ibidapo Obe Stabbed Me For Dating Her Boyfriend – Alaba Olatunde

Absentee Nollywood actress Bisi Ibidapo dirty past has
been exposed by a budding actress.
In an exclusive chat with a reporter, Alaba Olatunde
narrated how a sad scenario played out between her and
the ‘Omo logba logba’ of Nollywood, Bisi Ibidapo Obe a
while back.
Hear what Alaba said:
“I almost dated one actor/movie director, but I got my
fingers burnt because his girlfriend then, Bisi Ibidapo-Obe
caught us and dealt with me seriously; I still have the
marks on me.
“It was the friend of a popular actor/movie director who
asked me out and we got very close. But before we could
get any further, Bisi, who was one of his girlfriends, came
to meet me at a movie location in Abeokuta. On that day, I
just had my bath and was just coming out of the
bathroom; in fact, I was just tying my towel.
She was so furious and started shouting that I should leave
her boyfriend alone! But before I could say anything, she
had brought out a syringe from her back and stabbed me
several times in the buttock. I was quickly rushed to a
nearby hospital. But I thank God I survived it.”
“The case was resolved by the elders in the industry. She
was asked to apologize and she did.
But we are no more friends. Her so-called boyfriend never
reckoned with her afterwards. She thought I was the one
preventing her from having a swell time with the guy, but
she didn’t know it was another actress.”

Senator Ladoja’s Accord Party Received N100 Million From Dasuki To Support Jonathan’ s Re -election

Former Oyo State Governor and the Chieftain of Accord
Party Chief Rashidi Ladoja has been dragged into the
ongoing #Dasukigate scandal.
In a confession letter sent to the EFCC on Friday, the AP
admitted that the former Oyo Governor received
N100million from the money Ex-NSA Dasuki gave to
Anenih.
The party stated that the money was used to facilitate
Jonathan’s reelection.
This confession came on the heel of Afenifere leader, Chief
Olu Falae’s confession.
It is confession galore as EFCC intensifies investigation
into the $2.1billion arms deals under GEJ Administration.
These old politicians are the ones mortgaging the future of
our youths.

“ Nollywood Stars Becoming Business Owners Because Of Piracy” – Tayo Sobola

See excerpts from budding actress Sotayo recent
interview with The Entertainer.
Who is Sotayo?
My real name is Tayo Sobola. I’m popularly known as
Sotayo. Some people call me Bella, which comes from a
movie in which I acted were I had tribal marks.
Back to movies, what’s the next project from Sotee
entertainment?
I just finished a project, entitled Iwa Ose Meji. My fans
should keep their fingers crossed, it’s coming out soonest.
You seem to have so much love for tattoos, how many do
you have?
I have four and I’m done. I have two on my hand, one on
my leg and the other on my back.
Could you reveal the secrets that have sustained you in
the industry?
They are humility, perseverance, loyalty and of course,
faithfulness.
What is Sotee Entertainment all about?
At Sotee Entertainment we do a whole lot of things
including advertising and editing. We also do photo shoots
and very soon, I’m going to be unveiling our TV programme
dedicated to charity. We have a lot of things that we do
that people don’t even get to hear about. It’s only what
you see or hear that you know so right now, we are
actually going to be spreading our tentacles.
What inspired it?
What prompted this was the desire to define my game so
people could actually know what I do and reach me. This is
my 11th year in entertainment and I’ve been doing a whole
lot so people know me for different things and they keep
asking, what does she really do? That’s why I decided to
settle for movie making.
You said acting can’t sustain you yet you pursue it with a
passion. Why?
That’s what passion does to you. Passion is what you do
with ease not minding the benefits thereof. If you’re doing
something just for money, you can never be successful
.For crying out loud, if I’m doing this without having
passion for it I’d be wasting my time?
Are you saying acting is not lucrative?
For real it’s not and that’s because of piracy. Little wonder
Mercy Aigbe opened a boutique, Bimbo Thomas runs a
wine shop and Biodun Okeowo is doing her own stuff and
the list goes on and on.

Funke Felix Adejumo Reveals Marriage Success Secrets , Praises Husband Of Over 30 Years

Reverend (Mrs) Funke Adejumo the founder of Funke Felix
Adejumo foundation recently spoke about the challenges of
womanhood and the secret of her successful marriage of
over 30 years.
Excerpts:
You have been married to one man for over 30 years. What
has kept you going?
My husband and I have actually been married for 31years.
Our marriage will be 32 on September 8. The major and
greatest force in our marriage is God. And that’s not to
sound religious. It is what God keeps that is kept. John
3:27 is my favorite Scripture: “A man can receive nothing
except it be given him from heaven.”
God did not create a world in which He will not be needed.
He instituted marriage in the first instance. So He is the
greatest marriage expert and consultant.
Both of us are born again Christians so we don’t joke with
our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. This reflects in
the way we love and honour each other. It reflects in the
way we handle misunderstandings. It reflects in everything
we do.
In 31 years, my husband and I pray together everyday!
When we are not together, we pray on the phone.
Remember we did not start traveling separately until a few
years ago. That was before technology came into the
picture.
Also, we agreed on transparency and honesty. We agreed
that this will be the trade mark of our relationship. There’s
nothing we don’t discuss. And I mean absolutely nothing,
including the minutest details of life.
We tell ourselves absolute truth. What nobody on earth can
tell us. We confront our selves. And our bedroom has
remained our ‘court room’ for years.
Also, we are committed to making the marriage work.
Divorce is not an option for us. That has been our cliché
from the beginning. No matter how threatened our
relationship is, we agreed that divorce will never be an
option. We believe in ourselves and we collaborate on
everything.
Then, my husband is my only and bestfriend and I am his.
I always encourage singles to marry their friends. Don’t
marry someone you don’t like or you struggle to like. It
won’t last.
A true friend is somebody that knows where you stink but
still remains faithful and loyal. “Besties” unconditional love
is the secret. I love you for who you are not what you
have. This is the love my precious husband and I share.
Many working women complain family commitments slow
them down in their career pursuits. What was your
experience like and how did you cope?
God has blessed me with one of the most responsible
family men on earth. When our marriage was young and we
were raising our kids, my husband was involved
committedly. We raised the kids together. He is a family
man par excellence. He helped with school runs and works.
He put the children and me before church work and
ministry. His principle is: God first, family next, God’s
work/career third! This disposition simplified my life
extensively. There were times when my husband will tell
me to rest while he rocked the baby to sleep. I’m grateful
to the Lord and to him for this. It helped a great deal in the
pursuit of my career and ministry
For women who have issues with their husbands, what is
the best way to get results?
The greatest need of a man is not sex; he can get that
from a prostitute if he’s not born again and of course
contract veneral diseases! It’s not food; he can get that
from any good restaurant. A man’s greatest need is
respect particularly public respect from his wife.
Some women disrespect their husbands. It’s a man you
treat like a king that will treat you like a queen . Give your
husband the highest level of respect and honour in your
culture and watch him bloom in his love for you.
There’s no honour I will give to any human being on earth
including my spiritual mentors anybody at that if I have
not given it to my husband. After the Lord Jesus Christ,
Felix Remi Adejumo is the only king in my kingdom and
the only emperor in my empire!
You speak to thousands of women globally. What are their
greatest fears?
It is the same with women everywhere and the greatest
concern is security. Women worry a lot about the future.
We are all bothered with what does it hold for them and
children? We are concerned with whether our children will
turn out well. Will their husbands remain faithful?
Conflict resolution is a major marital issue for women. Do
you have thoughts of how best to get it done?
I will say it all boils down to the tongue and temper. If
these two are properly managed by husband and wife,
there will be less stress in marriage. Some men don’t
treat their wives well. To them, a woman is a necessary
evil, a baby-manufacturing machine and a glorified slave.
This mentality is absolutely wrong. Your wife is an integral
part of your life and should be treated with dignity.
Also the wife should honour her husband. Don’t prove to
your husband that you are in competition with him. Just
compliment him.
Even when you are hurting or angry, don’t be rude. Relate
well with your in-laws. Don’t be mean to people. Anybody
can become great. No one knows tomorrow.
What is your concept of total submission as it relates to
modern women?
Biblically speaking, submission is neither subjugation nor
slavery. Only insecure men oppress their wives!!! And I say
that with every sense of responsibility. When you see a
man that does not allow his wife to shine or give
expression to God’s grace on her life, he is a coward!
He may look bold and loud but he’s definitely struggling
with serious complex issues!
Ephesians 5:21 says: “Submitting yourselves one to
another in the fear of God. People quote from verse 22 but
the instruction actually starts from verse 21!
In my opinion, submission is “strenght put under control.”
God expects the woman to equally prosper and be blessed.
Genesis 1:26-28 says God blessed them not him only! But
once you are in the institution of marriage you don’t flaunt
your blessing in such a way that you disrespect your
spouse.
Anything that has more than one head is a monster. As a
woman, you allow your husband to be the leader and you
prayerfully and graciously assist him.
Do you believe in the concept of full housewife?
Yes and No. Yes because there may be a season when a
woman needs to be a full time housewife for the sake of
her children but it should not be the norm. Full time house
wife is full time suffering PLC! (Laughter).
Many men have agonised they cannot seem to understand
their women. What really do women want from their men?
Women want men they can look up to. We want affirmation,
validation, someone who will speak highly of us in the
public. We want a role model to her children, a friend not a
boss; a decent man not a flirt, someone who speak our
love language who is responsible enough to take good care
of our financial and emotional needs.
We want god-fearing men who can defend and stand up to
defend us.

Olu Falae: I Collected N100 Million ‘ Bribe’ From Dasuki For My Party, SDP To Endorse Jonathan

Former SGF Chief Olu Falae has opened up on why he
benefited in the ongoing Dasukigate scandal.
The septuagenarian today told Daily Sun that he collected
N100million from the N260million Chief Anenih received
from the former NSA, Col Sambo Dasuki.
Falae argued that the money was given to his party, SDP
to rally support for President Jonathan in the last
presidential election.
Her him:
“In the build up to the presidential election, the PDP
approached the SDP which I chaired. The then ruling party
solicited for our support in order for President Goodluck
Jonathan to win the March 28 presidential election. “Anenih
related with me as the chairman of the PDP BoT and I did
same as the SDP National Chairman. He wrote to me as
PDP BoT chairman and I wrote back as SDP National
Chairman stating conditions/terms for the alliance.
“It is true that N100 million was given to my party to
endorse and work for the Jonathan’s candidature in the
2015 election. We used the money for that purpose and we
effectively campaigned for the PDP since we did not have
presidential candidate in the election. The money was not
for me.
“Thank God I’m a retired civil servant. I have all the
documents to prove all that transpired between the two
parties.” The former Finance Minister stated that there
was no way he could know that the money was from arms
fund. “With all the money PDP has and having spent 16
years in power, how would I know that the money was from
the arms deal? No reference was made to the arms deal.
So, they should not bring me into the arms issue.”
Olu Falae who sent a letter to the EFCC today didn’t
explain how he spent the huge amount of money he
received from Jonathan.

Don ’t Give Up On That Gift Called Love : An Article Dedicated To Heartbroken Men & Women

Sometimes, you are at that portion of the road in your life
when you think you can’t go on. You are so heartbroken
you can’t believe you are still breathing. As far your
feelings are concerned, it’s the end of the world. It ended
when the love of your life said goodbye.
Getting out of bed becomes a chore. Life as a whole
becomes hard work. You can’t imagine why the birds still
sing and the sun still shines when you are all cold inside.
Your life just feels like one huge indescribable pain. Are
you at that portion in the road now? Do you feel it is all
over, that you can’t ever love again?
No such thing. After a while, it shall pass because you’ll
live again. Every woman, every man at one point or the
other must pass through this way. It’s bumpy, dusty and
choking. It’s so cold you can’t feel your toes. The pain
leaves you numb. It’s so dark and cloudy you can’t see
there is still a great wide road ahead. But there is life after
this point. You’ll get through it. You’ll understand it by and
by. And it won’t hurt you after a while. You have been in a
relationship for three years. His parents know you.
Your parents know him. In fact the two parents were only
waiting for the two of you to give the holy matrimony
signal. All your friends were set to be bridesmaids. You
had Sorry babe, mom says I must marry her friend’s
daughter coupletold all your suitors that you were taken,
spoken for.
And then he delivered his ‘so long’ speech. You are still
trying to remember what his excuse was. Your heart
seems to have stopped pumping blood or why else are you
this numb. You have asked yourself over and again where
you went wrong, how you missed the signs that he no
longer wanted you. The fog is bad. Your eyes are swollen
from crying, your dresses are hanging on you because you
are neither sleeping nor eating.
As bad as it looks this minute, even this shall pass. And
you’ll love again. You were 35 when you met him. Your
heart had been broken more than once and you’d made up
your mind not to let any man get past the armoured gate
to your heart. But he came and broke through your
defences . He made you eat your vow. You fell in love
again.
He promised to remain your knight in shining armour and
once again you believed. Today, he’s gone and you are 40
and bewildered. Were you created to be alone? Maybe
marriage is not in your stars.
All you can see through your tears are the lonely years
ahead. Maybe you will die childless. Maybe you should
adopt a child now. Maybe you should accept your fate and
stop searching. You can’t see it now but the scars will
heal. You’ll love again. And then, it won’t hurt this bad,
after a while. Stuck between if and when, you’ve tried again
and again.
You have waited. You have prayed. Yet the women you
have loved are the ones who used and dumped you. You
have been told ‘you are not man enough’ enough times and
you are beginning to believe it. Maybe no Eve was created
from your ribs… When you begin to doubt your belief, you
will begin to believe your doubt. Just believe there must be
a reason why you have had to tarry at this lonely point for
this long.
Don’t give up on yourself. You are man enough. Don’t give
in to that urge to settle for whoever you can find. Get up
and dust yourself. The pain will recede. You’ll love again.
Fifteen years of marriage and four children, you thought
you were settled for life.
The children were doing well and the family had no money
trouble. Then you woke up one fine morning and your
husband is no longer your husband. He has moved out and
moved in with another woman who has three children for
him.
Already. So all this while you thought he was yours, he
also belonged to another. The thought that everybody else
but you knew is driving you crazy. You have even
contemplated killing yourself and ending it all. The feeling
of betrayal cannot be quantified in words. What did you do
that was so unforgivable? What are you supposed to do
now?
Remarry with four children or go dump the kids at his new
doorstep? The disgrace, the reproach. How do you explain
to the children, your friends and still keep breathing?
You want the world to come to an end today, this minute.
But this too shall pass. The scars will become part of your
history, the ingredients that built your emotional and
financial muscles.
Have you just discovered that one of the two children is
not yours? Your wife has made you father another man’s
son. The woman you loved has poked her fingers in your
eye.
All that you have are in her name and the two children’s.
You have lived and worked for them.
You have been devoted. And the one you just discovered is
not yours is your favourite, though you are not supposed to
love one kid more than the others.
But you do anyway and this son is not yours. Your wife
can’t look you in the eye and you can’t look the world in
the eye. Send your wife packing along with this boy who
has called you daddy for nine years or just go on as if
nothing is wrong? You are bleeding on the inside.
You feel like a fool, betrayed. Will you ever love again?
What’s love? What is it worth?
Is it another word for self-inflicted affliction? When your
pains feel like it will never go away and the wounds look
like they will never heal, try these lines. Sing the lines
anyhow.
They help. After a while This too shall pass Scars will heal
You’ll love again It won’t hurt you after a while.
Stuck between if and when You’ve prayed and tried But
still no way God’s coming soon, you’ll love again It won’t
hurt you after a while
This piece is dedicated to all those who are hurting, men
and women who have been left holding the short end of the
stick in relationships they thought were heading for the
altar. Don’t give up on that good thing called love.
The pain eating you up now will go and you will smile
again. You will even dress up for Valentine. Oh yes.
