Reggae artist, Orits Wiliki, has said the problem
fellow artist, Majek Fashek, is facing is spiritual
and not just drugs.
Majek, popularly called the Rain Maker, was
recently in a rehabilitation centre but claimed the
sessions he had there did not help him but
merely reduced his libido.
However, Wiliki believes Majek’s problem is
beyond drugs.
“His problem is beyond drugs; it is spiritual.
Sometimes, if you have a one-on-one
conversation with him, he would discuss with
you as if nothing was wrong with him.
“I also think part of the problems is that he is not
busy, he is not engaged. You know, an idle mind
as they say, is the devil’s workshop.
“If we put him in rehab and he finds something
doing after he is confirmed fit, Majek will be well
100 per cent okay I can assure you.
“Even in his present condition, he still maintains
on the same aura on stage that he had when he
was still rave. I believe that if he is busy going on
music tours, there will be no problem.”
