impregnate Soupolos’s wife.
court
The 29-year-old had hired Maus to impregnate
his former beauty queen wife, Traute as he was
sterile and she wanted a baby badly.
He thought his neighbour would be a good
choice as they both look alike and Maus been a
father of two children.
According to Standard Digital, Soupolos paid
Maus $2.500 for the job. For three evenings a
week for the next six months, Maus tried
desperately in a total of 72 different times to get
Traute pregnant.

When Traute failed to get pregnant after six
months, Soupolos insisted Maus go for a medical
test which revealed he was also sterile.
The test revealing that Maus was sterile shocked
everyone except his wife, who was then forced
to confess that Maus was not the real father of
her two kids.
Maus in his defence has refused to give up the
money stating that he did not guarantee
conception, but only that he would give a try.

» Katsina Orders Public School Teachers To Withdraw Their Children From Private Schools «
The Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board
(SUBEB), has directed primary school teachers
and all head teachers in the state to withdraw
their children from private schools for enrolment
in public schools.
Chairman of the SUBEB, Lawal Buhari Daura gave
the directive on Wednesday, when he led
management of the Board on an inspection tour
of Local Education Authority (LEA) in Kankia.
Daura said the directive was in line with an earlier
order issue by the Governor, Aminu Bello Masari
that public officers under his administration must
patronise public schools.
He insisted that the directive was part of efforts to
revive the education sector, but was silent on
whether or not penalties awaited defaulters.
Our correspondent reports that findings indicate
that most of the primary school teachers in public
schools do not patronise public schools as they
enrol their children and wards in private schools,
an action which suggests that they have no
confidence in the public schools.

» You Are A ‘Garage Boy’, Orubebe Attacks Oshiomhole Again «
ABUJA – The verbal war between the ex-
Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder
Godsday Peter Orubebe and the Governor
Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State
Wednesday took a dimension of pedestrian,
with the ex-Minister calling Oshiomhole a
‘garage boy’ and vowing to expose his
dubious deeds against Nigerians.
Orubebe in a swift reaction to Oshiomhole’s
response to his (Orubebe) earlier remarks
on him, said that the Comrade
Oshiomhole’s attempt to link his advice to
President Muhammadu Buhari to be weary
of popular Villa sycophants to his fears of a
possible probe with connection to the East-
West road project shows he is indeed a
‘garage boy’ who lacks focus.
Orubebe who described the governor’s
insinuation as laughable, maintained that the
Edo state Governor has failed to address the
issue of sycophancy which he accused him
of.
He said Oshiomhole is suffering from
chronic diarrhoea of the mouth and that is
why he has lately been misleading Nigerians
as his illiteracy is beyond human
comprehension.
The former Minister of Special duties further
argued that his integrity and high level of
accountability all through his six years
service to the nation as the Minister of Niger
Delta Affairs cannot be matched nor
compromised.
He added, “I am proud to have been a vital
instrument used by God to take the once
abandoned East- West road project to an
admirable 80 percent level of completion. It
is unfortunate that our respected Niger Delta
could produced the likes of Oshiomhole
who is a garage boy that should be at the
motor park as a son.
Threatening to expose Oshiomhole more,
Elder Orubebe said, “I will disgrace him
publicly and tell the world about his dubious
deeds as governor as well as his role in the
botched Third Term Bid of former President
Olusegun Obasanjo.
“I am going to open his can of worms to
the point that Nigerians will stone him if
seen on the streets. I don’t talk carelessly as
I have my facts to prove my points.’
On the alleged embezzlement of several
billions of naira under his regime as minister
of Niger Delta, he said, “I am not afraid of
probe, am a man of integrity under whose
watch the abandoned 42 bridges and 1040
culverts that was initially without designed
was upgraded to the level it is today.
“Every reasonable Niger Deltan and
Nigerians at large knows that I am the
admired face of the East West road, I can
stand tall, anywhere and anytime to defend
my administration as well as account for
every dime that was allocated for the
several projects we embarked upon’.
“My Co- ministers and every other person
who was a member of the federal Executive
Council under former president Jonathan’s
watch can attest to the fact that I was a
vessel par excellence who had result
oriented contributed to make towards
moving the nation forward,” he said.
On the statement by the Oshiomhole that
he should be cooling off in jail following his
actions at the 2015 presidential election
collation Centre, Elder Orubebe said, “if he is
reasonable, he will not refer to my action at
the election result collation centre.”
“This is because, history will talk about it
and Nigerians will be proud of me. Yes, I
had to apologise to Nigerians, particularly
the youths over my I term ‘wrong
approach to a just course’. Yes, I had a just
case that was deliberately ignored, as one
who felt cheated, and so reacted
He said, “I’m laughing at him because, if
there’s anyone who should bury his face in
shame, it has to be Oshiomhole who
disgraced, harassed and rough handled a
poor widow who he should have ordinarily
accommodated.”
He continued, “My people are very proud of
me, I mean the aged, the poor and
orphans. I don’t disgrace them before
putting smiles on their faces.
“I maintain the fact that Oshiomhole is a
popular villa sycophant, a garage boy and
that PMB should be weary of him, if he
must succeed and be really admired.”

» Tinubu Breaks Silence On Recent Attacks On Fashola «
A leader of the All Progressives Congress,
Bola Tinubu, has distanced himself from the
recent ordeal of the former governor of
Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola.
In a statement Wednesday, Mr. Tinubu said
he is not behind the latest “rancid attacks”
on Mr. Fashola.
“An attack against the performance of
Governor Fashola is indirectly an attack
against me and the edifice of achievement
we have constructed in leading Lagos state
out of a protracted time of stagnation and
into an era of sustained progress and
development,” said Mr. Tinubu.
It was the first time Mr. Tinubu would speak
out over claims that he was sponsoring
individuals and groups to sustain media
attacks against his successor.
Mr. Fashola, who governed Lagos State
between 2007 and 2011, had been the
subject of a media blitz after details of
contracts he awarded during his
administration was made public earlier this
month.
Two weeks ago, the Civil Society Network
Against Corruption, a coalition of anti-
corruption organizations, petitioned the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission
over the “questionable expenditures” of Mr.
Fashola,
The group urged the EFCC to probe a
controversial N78 million spent on the
upgrade of Mr. Fashola’s website.
The group’s petition came after a public
outrage that greeted the revelation by
analytic firm, BudgIT, that Mr. Fashola
approved numerous “inflated contracts”
before he left office in May 29 this year.
In an addition to the sum awarded for a
website upgrade, Mr. Fashola also approved
N1.2 billion for the construction of
pedestrian bridges along the Eti Osa – Lekki
– Epe expressway – the contract did not
specify the number of bridges or their
locations.
The former governor also spent N25 billion
on the 1.36 kilometre Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge,
N330 million for the renovation of the
immediate past deputy governor’s
residence, and N3.4 billion for the
renovation of a beach resort at Ilase.
Mr. Fashola himself had offered what many
consider as an unconvincing response to all
the allegations against him.
But in his statement on Wednesday, Mr.
Tinubu accused opposition elements of a
deliberate attempt to sow discord in the
APC by peddling falsehood.
“I for one will not bend to the artificial
provocation of those seeking to tear at what
we have painstakingly built over the years,”
said Mr. Tinubu, who was also a governor
in the state, between 1999 and 2007.
“In my mind, Governor Fashola and I are
and shall always be political allies and fellow
travelers on a vital journey; that alliance is
unshakable and our journey must not be
interrupted. I would no more attack his
character or his administration than I would
attack myself.”
Last week, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode
approved the termination of a concession
agreement between the Lagos State
Development and Property Corporation and
Afriland Properties for the re-development
of the Falomo Shopping Complex, Ikoyi.
According to the governor, the concession,
which he put at N50 million over a 50-year
period, is “grossly detrimental” to the
people of Lagos State.
That move by the governor, coupled with
the decision of his administration to publish
the details of the contracts awarded by Mr.
Fashola on the state’s procurement agency
website, fueled speculations that Mr.
Ambode was carrying out the bidding of
his godfather.
Just as he selected Mr. Fashola to succeed
him in 2007, Mr. Tinubu also handpicked
Mr. Ambode to take over from Mr. Fashola.
”I am proud to say that I played an
instrumental role in bringing Governor
Fashola into politics in the first instance,” Mr.
Tinubu continued.
“He served as my trusted chief of staff,
performing excellently in that role. Due to
his leadership qualities and diligent work
ethic, I endorsed him for governor
notwithstanding the stiff and vocal
opposition of many. I am not ashamed of
backing him. I believe the progress the state
made under his administration has more
than vindicated my endorsement.
“Fashola, the present Governor Akin
Ambode including myself are the products
of a progressive political institution and its
programmatic expressions. I laid the
governance foundation and started the first
lap, running as well as I could.
“I handed the baton to Fashola, knowing he
would do the same. He did; he ran as well
as he could. Now, he has handed to
Ambode who is off and running as well as
he can. We have achieved much in Lagos;
but, we recognize as much as anyone that
we have much more to do.
“We also know that progress is fragile and
easily undone while destruction is easily
transacted but hard to undo. I for one am
not the type to tear down my own house
or to bring my enemy’s rubbish into it.”
Mr. Tinubu said the APC had governed
Lagos State as an open forum where
democracy and free expression were
respected.
“Those who are against us were never
placed in fear of the heavy hand of
government descending on them even as
they played funny tricks,” he said.
“We also must remember than in any
democracy, a number of people will always
oppose you no matter the quality of your
performance. If an office holder has an
approval rating of 70 percent, this means,
in Lagos, roughly five million people dislike
the person. Also remember the PDP is just
recently out of office at the federal level and
that it built a vast, unprecedented financial
war chest to contest the elections.
“The residual of that war chest is still at
work, buying media space to plant rumors
in hopes of spreading discord through the
APC. Thus, the enemy camp may be a
minority but it is a large and well-funded
one that knows its only chance lies in us
attacking ourselves.”
Bola Tinubu, has distanced himself from the
recent ordeal of the former governor of
Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola.
In a statement Wednesday, Mr. Tinubu said
he is not behind the latest “rancid attacks”
on Mr. Fashola.
“An attack against the performance of
Governor Fashola is indirectly an attack
against me and the edifice of achievement
we have constructed in leading Lagos state
out of a protracted time of stagnation and
into an era of sustained progress and
development,” said Mr. Tinubu.
It was the first time Mr. Tinubu would speak
out over claims that he was sponsoring
individuals and groups to sustain media
attacks against his successor.
Mr. Fashola, who governed Lagos State
between 2007 and 2011, had been the
subject of a media blitz after details of
contracts he awarded during his
administration was made public earlier this
month.
Two weeks ago, the Civil Society Network
Against Corruption, a coalition of anti-
corruption organizations, petitioned the
Economic and Financial Crimes Commission
over the “questionable expenditures” of Mr.
Fashola,
The group urged the EFCC to probe a
controversial N78 million spent on the
upgrade of Mr. Fashola’s website.
The group’s petition came after a public
outrage that greeted the revelation by
analytic firm, BudgIT, that Mr. Fashola
approved numerous “inflated contracts”
before he left office in May 29 this year.
In an addition to the sum awarded for a
website upgrade, Mr. Fashola also approved
N1.2 billion for the construction of
pedestrian bridges along the Eti Osa – Lekki
– Epe expressway – the contract did not
specify the number of bridges or their
locations.
The former governor also spent N25 billion
on the 1.36 kilometre Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge,
N330 million for the renovation of the
immediate past deputy governor’s
residence, and N3.4 billion for the
renovation of a beach resort at Ilase.
Mr. Fashola himself had offered what many
consider as an unconvincing response to all
the allegations against him.
But in his statement on Wednesday, Mr.
Tinubu accused opposition elements of a
deliberate attempt to sow discord in the
APC by peddling falsehood.
“I for one will not bend to the artificial
provocation of those seeking to tear at what
we have painstakingly built over the years,”
said Mr. Tinubu, who was also a governor
in the state, between 1999 and 2007.
“In my mind, Governor Fashola and I are
and shall always be political allies and fellow
travelers on a vital journey; that alliance is
unshakable and our journey must not be
interrupted. I would no more attack his
character or his administration than I would
attack myself.”
Last week, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode
approved the termination of a concession
agreement between the Lagos State
Development and Property Corporation and
Afriland Properties for the re-development
of the Falomo Shopping Complex, Ikoyi.
According to the governor, the concession,
which he put at N50 million over a 50-year
period, is “grossly detrimental” to the
people of Lagos State.
That move by the governor, coupled with
the decision of his administration to publish
the details of the contracts awarded by Mr.
Fashola on the state’s procurement agency
website, fueled speculations that Mr.
Ambode was carrying out the bidding of
his godfather.
Just as he selected Mr. Fashola to succeed
him in 2007, Mr. Tinubu also handpicked
Mr. Ambode to take over from Mr. Fashola.
”I am proud to say that I played an
instrumental role in bringing Governor
Fashola into politics in the first instance,” Mr.
Tinubu continued.
“He served as my trusted chief of staff,
performing excellently in that role. Due to
his leadership qualities and diligent work
ethic, I endorsed him for governor
notwithstanding the stiff and vocal
opposition of many. I am not ashamed of
backing him. I believe the progress the state
made under his administration has more
than vindicated my endorsement.
“Fashola, the present Governor Akin
Ambode including myself are the products
of a progressive political institution and its
programmatic expressions. I laid the
governance foundation and started the first
lap, running as well as I could.
“I handed the baton to Fashola, knowing he
would do the same. He did; he ran as well
as he could. Now, he has handed to
Ambode who is off and running as well as
he can. We have achieved much in Lagos;
but, we recognize as much as anyone that
we have much more to do.
“We also know that progress is fragile and
easily undone while destruction is easily
transacted but hard to undo. I for one am
not the type to tear down my own house
or to bring my enemy’s rubbish into it.”
Mr. Tinubu said the APC had governed
Lagos State as an open forum where
democracy and free expression were
respected.

placed in fear of the heavy hand of

» Man Seeks Divorce Over Wife’s Sexual Escapades On Social Media «
Ado-Ekiti – A businessman, Muyiwa
Owolabi, has dragged his wife, Tinuola, to
an Ado Ekiti Customary Court to seek
dissolution of their ten-year-old marriage
over “serial adultery with several men” she
met on social media.
Both the petitioner and the defendant agreed
on the dissolution the marriage over
irreconcilable differences but the court is yet
to resolve on the custody of their two
children,
Muyiwa, the Petitioner, who told the court

“man friends and concubines.”
Muyiwa told the court that he had the
printouts of the adulterous communications

they recorded pictures of their private parts

with one Toyin Igbalajobi, her Lagos-based
friend who allegedly connected her with
men in Lagos and the NOKIA C3 with which
he carried out the act were admitted by the
court president, Mr. Joseph Ogunsemi and

Tinuola with one Benson Onyechere, his
junior at Christ’s School, Ado Ekiti who
usually speak with her on phone but when
he caught her, she replaced Benson’s name
with a supposedly female name, ‘Bola’ to
hide her lover’s identity.

media platform on March 27,2012 while
another Facebook lover, one Alaba Sunday
Samson had the effrontery of coming to
their matrimonial home to visit Tinuola.
Muyiwa also identified other men his wife

Aduloju Olu and Andy Harris who is based
overseas, Yinka Daramola and, Kunle Lawal

» FG To Slash Federal Lawmakers’ Salaries «
ABUJA—Chairman of the Revenue Mobilisation,
Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, Mr.
Elias Mbam, disclosed yesterday that the
Commission had started the process of trimming
down the pay packages of the President,
Senators, members of the House of
Representatives, governors and all the elected
public officials to reflect current economic realities.
Speaking with journalists after meeting President
Muhammadu Buhari, the RMAFC Chairman said
that no federal lawmaker received N1 million
monthly as salary, adding that their salaries
would be pruned down to reflect the current
economy status.
Asked whether the parliamentarians would give a
nod to the idea, the Chairman said it was a
constitutional mandate, which no one should
argue about.
He said: “We are here to brief the President on the
activities of the commission, the challenges and
the way forward.
“The President advised us to ensure that we use
all legitimate means to ensure all public office
holders take home remuneration as determined
by the commission and also block all leakages.
“We have done a lot in informing the public on
the true position of the remuneration packages. It
is on our website; it is clearly written there and
we have published these remuneration packages
in many national dailies several times.
“We have also had interactions with the press at
different fora.
“What we read on the pages of newspapers is
not known to the commission because there is
no member of the National Assembly, based on
what we determined, who earns up to N1 million
per month.
“Presently, we are reviewing the subsisting
remuneration packages and it is going to reflect
the socio-economic realities of today. We expect
that before the end of next month, it will be
ready.
“When I talk of packages, the responsibility of the
commission is to determine the remuneration for
political office holders, both elected and
appointed, from the national level to the local
government level.
“Of course, National Assembly members are
elected. It will include them, it will include the
judiciary, it will include the state legislature,
executive and of course, the local government
will be included.
“Recently, the oil price dropped. Many
government agencies, the states and local
governments have not been able to pay their
salaries. These are some of the issues that made
it necessarily to review it. It did not start with this
administration; we started the review as far back
as last year. It is not because of the present
administration that we commenced it.
“They do not have a choice. We are guided by
the constitution and we are going to be guided by
such laws that are provided for in the constitution
and the oath they swore to obey the laws of the
country.”
Mbam, who recounted the challenges of the
Commission to include insufficient funding, urged
the authorities to amend the Act setting it up to
grant its financial independence.
Asked when the new revenue sharing formula
would be ready, the chairman said it was beyond
his power to comment on.
He said: “One of the challenges is that the
commission is not properly funded and we are
saying that we expect that the commission
should be one of the agencies of government that
should have financial autonomy.
“The best way to do that is to include it as one of
the agencies that will benefit from first line charge.
“The second is to give the commission the power
of enforcement. They should review the Act
establishing the commission so that it can have
power of enforcement and sanctions on any of
the defaulting MDAs.

Arguably this state possesses the prettiest
damsels in the country. Well-endowed in all
ramifications. Little wonder the state has the
highest number of Peagents and Models in
Nigeria. IMSU alone houses 60% of these
beauties.
2. LAGOS:
Lagos per-say boasts of awesome and classy
beauties owing to its cosmopolitan nature. the
state is a confluence of most beautiful girls from
different background and entities. A visit to Akoka
will attest.
3. CROSS RIVER:
Calabar girls are not only beautiful but "bediful".
The concentration of naturally beautiful girls in C/
River pays advantage to The serene and ambient
nature of the state.
4. ENUGU:
The state of the 'desperate chicks' will wow you
with its array of beauties. You can never walk 5m
in Enugu without having to turn to admire an
Enugu gal walking on the other side of the road.
Night life here is very much alive.
5. DELTA:
The city of Warri wasn't taken into recognition
when Delta is mentioned. However, the
concentration of sweet apples in Asaba, agbor
and Auchi alone is strong enough to place Delta
on the list.
6. RIVERS:
The black beauties of Kalabari and the excesses
from IMO State gives Rivers a capable mention.
Mind you, aside Lagos and Abuja, PH prides the
most expensive and classy chicks. Don't
approach a UNIPORT babe without your car
keys.
7. ANAMBRA:
Anambra Chicks my not be as classy as their Imo
neighbours. But they pride an array of natural
beauties. They are wife materials any day. UNIZIK
guys can testify.
8. OGUN:
Ogun gals are the most beautiful when it comes
to core Yoruba chicks. They are an all-in-one
package of beauty and brains.
9. KANO:
Having the highest concentration of beautiful
Fulani girls. Kano state possesses pretty girls
beyond the veils.
10. EDO:
Like C/River, Edo girls are amicably beautiful both
in theory and practice. If you visit Benin and cone
back empty-handed, then you are blind and
sterile at once.
Who thinks otherwise?
NB: I deliberately omitted Abuja to be in a different

» Thugs Beat Mother, Smash Baby Against The Floor «
Some thugs have allegedly beaten up
a woman, who was identified simply
as Beatrice, and smashed her two-
year-old baby against the floor, killing
the toddler.
It was gathered that the incident occurred at
the Bajare Camp in the Idanre Local
Government Area of Ondo State.
Witnesses told our correspondent that the
thugs attacked Beatrice on the instruction of
a middle-aged woman, identified simply as
Toyin, following a disagreement between
the women.
One of the witnesses said the disagreement
between Toyin and Beatrice led to a free-
for-all. He added that Toyin left the scene
and came back with some thugs who she
allegedly ordered to beat up Beatrice.
He said, “During the scuffle, the baby boy,
who was strapped to his mother’s back
was smashed against the floor by one of
the thugs, leading to his death.”
It was gathered that the thugs immediately
fled the area, while the toddler was rushed
to the hospital, where he was confirmed
dead.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the
state, Mr. Wole Ogodo, explained that the
mother of the baby reported the matter at
the police station, saying the suspect and
her thugs had been arrested.
Ogodo said investigation had commenced
into the matter, adding that the suspects
would be charged to court as soon as the
police finished their probe.
He said, “People, who are having issues
with one another should always cultivate
the habit of reporting the case to the
appropriate quarters for onward action
rather than taking the law into their own
hands.”
It was gathered that the remains of the
deceased had been deposited at the Alade
Idanre General Hospital mortuary for post-
mortem.

» 10 Reasons Why Lagos Men Prefer Village Girls «
Lagos girls are very sophisticated,
approachable and good to be with, but why
are Lagos men going back to the village to
pick their wives? What is it about village
girls that makes them potential life partners?
Or is this just a fallacy?
Here are 10 reasons Lagos men go back to
the village to select their spouse instead of
marrying their Lagos counterparts.
1. Food
Do village girls cook better than city girls?
They say the way to a man’s heart is
through his stomach. Men love food and no
man likes to return home and not meet a
well prepared meal. Village ladies have the
upper hand when it comes to performing
wonders in the kitchen. Those delicacies
that melt a man’s heart and remind him of
those nostalgic past are made real by village
ladies. Every meal is likely to be a sensation
and not the usual rice and bread that is
adopted during bachelorhood, Lagos girls
on the other hand dwell on refrigerating and
microwaving food which does not give the
same result. Some even order meals or
drag their spouse to a restaurant. Lagos
men would rather go for a home-made
meal prepared with fresh ingredients and
spiced with condiments rather than keep a
daily date in the restaurant.
2. Attitude
Village ladies grow up with the right
orientation and attitude which is what most
Lagos men desire. Little attributes like saying
‘good morning’ and ‘thank you’ can go a
long way to make a man happy. Village
ladies are brought up with a drilling
knowledge of respect and attitude. Lagos
ladies exude behaviours that raise doubt
about their attitudes and orientation and
men try to avoid ladies without the right
attitude.
3. Submissive
Either by nature or nurture, men feel they
are superior to women and like it when
they get a lot of respect from women. No
man wants to marry a woman if he knows
she will challenge his superiority. Lagos
men know that most Lagos ladies have
been so exposed to similar and equal life
styles that can lead to tension in the home.
Men know that village ladies pose no threat
when it comes to class and level and feel
more comfortable with that rather than
engaging in a class tug of war with a Lagos
lady.
4. Home
Village ladies have very homely qualities
that make a man happy. They know it is
their duties to do the dishes, laundry, cook,
make the home and still take care of the
children. Lagos ladies however feel that the
modern world in its unwritten law desire
men to also help in the house chores and
not many Lagos men are adept at doing
that. With a village lady however, they is
not question about who will do the house
chores.
5. Career
Perhaps city ladies have careers that make
them to busy for their homes
The issue of career is always a big problem
to men. As much as Lagos men love
successful women, they dislike it when a
woman’s job becomes her priority and he
his relegated to the second position. The
higher a woman goes, the more a man
finds her unapproachable. Village ladies are
very enterprising instead and know how to
combine the home with the family well
which is what Lagos men prefer.
6. Beauty
Who is more attractive, city girls or village
beauties?
Lagos ladies are very attractive but men
have discerned the difference between
natural beauty and the pancake and lipstick
beauty. Lagos ladies are very adept in
transforming themselves into angels that it
would be difficult to tell the difference
between the ‘former and later picture’.
Lagos men know they are seeing the real
picture when they meet a village lady and
not a black-to-white transformation that is
typical of Lagos ladies.
7. Understanding
Village ladies are cool-headed and have
learnt to tame their emotion so as to allow
them understand their spouse. Lagos men
like it when a woman understands
situations without asking too much
questions. Lagos ladies though educated
and intelligent sometimes lack the basic
sense required in understanding the mood
and turmoil of a man and this can lead to
tension when they cannot act appropriately.
Lagos men would rather marry a village
lady knowing that there is a telepathic
understanding between the two of them.
8. Economical
Village ladies understand moderation and
have learnt the skills to economise. Lagos
men know that the city has its ups and
downs and like it when a woman can make
do with what is available. Lagos ladies find it
difficult to deal with less than they have
been exposed to and some can even raise
hell if they do not get what they are used to.
Lagos men like the fact that the humble
upbringing of most village ladies equips
them for any situation whether rain or
shine.
9. Fidelity
Are village girls more faithful than city girls?
The Lagos lifestyle is a wild one and most
ladies in the city have been swept away by
the tide. Some women find it difficult to deal
with the strength and capacity of their
husband because they have been exposed
to different escapades. Ironically, it is the
same men who engage these ladies who
know that it will be dangerous to have them
in the home. They feel that their already
explored sexuality might pose the possibility
of marital infidelity. They feel more
confident in marrying village ladies who to
an extent can guarantee fidelity.
10. Wife material
Who really makes a better wife, village girls
or city girls?
Wife material is an expression used to
describe a lady that encapsulates all the
qualities that a man wants in a woman.
Lagos men try to select a woman with wife
material when they eventually want to get
married. They feel that Lagos ladies have
little or no wife material and therefore cast
their nets in the village where they are likely
to find ladies who have yards and yards of
wife material!

» Jonathan Fought Corruption In More Civilized Way Than Buhari - Falana «
Femi Falana, a famous Lagos lawyer, has
criticized President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-
corruption strategy.
The Lagos lawyer while speaking on Channels TV
programme said that “contrary to the general
belief that former President closed his eyes to
corruption, President Goodluck Jonathan did so
much in the fight against corruption including the
sack of three of his ministers for alleged graft.”
Falana added that Jonathan carried out the most
positive loot recovery without making noise
about it.
It should be noted that during the Jonathan’s
tenure, the administration presented the Single
Bank account for the country, saving billions.
Their electronic payroll payment system and the
Bio-metric registration of federal personnel
recognized 68,000 ghost workers and over
50,000 ghost pensioners.
The previous government also introduced the
Single Contract Requisition system with a
legislative oversight.
The cashless economy was the cause that
“Ghana-Must-Go” vanished in the National
Assembly and around the corridors of his
government.

1. ONLY THE YOUNG PAY THE PRICE, WHY?
Like the song, I have always wanted to be young
and free. But to escape the rigor of NYSC, I
needed to be a little more than that.
Why is it that only the Young pay the price?
I am 23 Years, apparently if I was just 7 years
older, I wouldn’t be going through this
Unnecessary Scheme.
How I wish I was Older
2. TO MANY UNCALCULATED RISKS
We Corp Members get involved in Road
accidents, Election Violence, Bomb Explosion,
Community fight, Religious Fights, Ethnic fights,
and so on. It’s pitiable that only a few get noticed.
Our roads are more than bad. Corp Members risk
too much when they embark on that 25 Hours
long road trip to their state of deployment. Who
bears this risk?
We risk too much by living in Adamawa, Sokoto,
Maiduguri, Borno, Jos, Abuja, in fact anywhere
that have recorded any form of terrorist attach in
the last 5 Years.
It’s a pity some of our colleagues have died in
road accidents and terrorist attacks.
NYSC is not worth our lives. we want out!
3. MANDATING NYSC INCONSISTENT WITH
LIBERAL RIGHTS
The above is too much English. Let me explain in
literal terms.
As a citizen, I am expected to be Law-Abiding. I
am encouraged (not forced) to vote and to render
voluntary service.
The act of Mandating National Youth Service
before my rights of citizenship are extended is
simply contrary to the purpose for which the
country was founded and has endured.
My right to employment and contesting
government offices shouldn’t be subject to my
NYSC status.
It is wrong. THIS IS WRONG
4. MANDATING NATIONAL SERVICE
DRAINS ITS VIRTUE
Why is it called National Youth Service in the first
instance? It should be more like “Mandatory
National Service”
We have to understand that for an Act to be
Patriotic, it has to be voluntary. If it is required, it
becomes nothing special.
5. NATIONAL SERVICE DISTRACTS US FROM
OUR CAREER
To many of us, the one (1) Year National service is
a big distraction to our career. Many of us go
through the One year scheme and become rusty
intellectual wise. No real challenge, we just sit and
teach Primary 2 Kids all year long.
6. INCREASE IN IMMORALITY
Don’t be surprised.
The Service year unfortunately brings out the
beast in our Youths as many of us see the NYSC
year as a Jolli period where we go at the world.
Little wonder there have been recurring cases of
Corp Members impregnating their infant students.
But an Idle hand they say is the devil’s workshop.
Are Corp Members That Idle? YES THEY ARE! YES
WE ARE!!!
7. WE ARE BAD TEACHERS, BAD ROLE
MODELS
All thanks to the government’s questionable
posting policy where 90% of corp members
nationwide have been confined to the 4 walls of a
classroom. Corp members now call the shots in
the Nation’s most critical part of the economy.
This leaves the schools, students, parents and
community at the mercy of quack, Hot, unfit and
unprofessional educators.
Little wonder our students keep failing WAEC.
8. IT IS TOO EXPENSIVE
How much do the government (State and
Federal) spend on the seemingly unnecessary
Programme.
I might not be so good at mathematics, but I can
come with a rough estimate of about #350K on
each corp member. Multiply that by close to a
hundred thousand graduates that go through the
scheme a year and you’ll have a feel of how
much money the government is not getting
value for.
Tax payer’s money they call it.
9. NYSC SHOULDN’T STOP US FROM LIVING
The above appear far fetched. Well it’s not.
How do you explain your absence at your
Father’s burial?
How do you explain missing your own wedding?
NYSC Head Count? HELL NO!!!
How do you explain loosing your Job?
That we are young graduates doesn’t mean we
don’t have responsibilities. We have aging
mothers to take care of; We have a Boy/Girl that
calls us Daddy. We have siblings to look after;
We are sorry if we are unwilling to pack our bags
to Kebbi. For some of us, Family comes first not
the government. SORRY!!!
10. WE ARE TIRED
Tired of the peanut you pay us?
Tired of the ridiculously irritating houses you call
NYSC Camps.
Tired of the ridiculous food you serve in camps.
Tired of the uncalculated risks
Tired of the double standards. The rich and
famous don’t appear in Camps, they get their
Certificates notwithstanding.
Tired of paying your staffs to Influence our
Posting
Tired of loosing our Jobs, only to get the NYSC
Certificate and start looking for them again.
Tired of Holding only the Young Ransom
We are Indeed Tired of the unnecessary
scheme.
Like the song, I have always wanted to be young
and free. But to escape the rigor of NYSC, I
needed to be a little more than that.
Why is it that only the Young pay the price?

nationwide have been confined to the 4 walls of a
classroom. Corp members now call the shots in
the Nation’s most critical part of the economy.
This leaves the schools, students, parents and
community at the mercy of quack, Hot, unfit and
unprofessional educators.
Little wonder our students keep failing WAEC.
8. IT IS TOO EXPENSIVE
How much do the government (State and
Federal) spend on the seemingly unnecessary
Programme.
I might not be so good at mathematics, but I can
come with a rough estimate of about #350K on
each corp member. Multiply that by close to a
hundred thousand graduates that go through the
scheme a year and you’ll have a feel of how
much money the government is not getting
value for.
Tax payer’s money they call it.
9. NYSC SHOULDN’T STOP US FROM LIVING
The above appear far fetched. Well it’s not.
How do you explain your absence at your
Father’s burial?
How do you explain missing your own wedding?
NYSC Head Count? HELL NO!!!
How do you explain loosing your Job?
That we are young graduates doesn’t mean we
don’t have responsibilities. We have aging
mothers to take care of; We have a Boy/Girl that
calls us Daddy. We have siblings to look after;
We are sorry if we are unwilling to pack our bags
to Kebbi. For some of us, Family comes first not
the government. SORRY!!!
10. WE ARE TIRED
Tired of the peanut you pay us?
Tired of the ridiculously irritating houses you call
NYSC Camps.
Tired of the ridiculous food you serve in camps.
Tired of the uncalculated risks
Tired of the double standards. The rich and
famous don’t appear in Camps, they get their
Certificates notwithstanding.
Tired of paying your staffs to Influence our
Posting
Tired of loosing our Jobs, only to get the NYSC
Certificate and start looking for them again.
Tired of Holding only the Young Ransom
We are Indeed Tired of the unnecessary
scheme.
» 10 Reasons Why NYSC Should Be Voluntary «
1. ONLY THE YOUNG PAY THE PRICE, WHY?
Like the song, I have always wanted to be young
and free. But to escape the rigor of NYSC, I
needed to be a little more than that.
Why is it that only the Young pay the price?
I am 23 Years, apparently if I was just 7 years
older, I wouldn’t be going through this
Unnecessary Scheme.
How I wish I was Older
2. TO MANY UNCALCULATED RISKS
We Corp Members get involved in Road
accidents, Election Violence, Bomb Explosion,
Community fight, Religious Fights, Ethnic fights,
and so on. It’s pitiable that only a few get noticed.
Our roads are more than bad. Corp Members risk
too much when they embark on that 25 Hours
long road trip to their state of deployment. Who
bears this risk?
We risk too much by living in Adamawa, Sokoto,
Maiduguri, Borno, Jos, Abuja, in fact anywhere
that have recorded any form of terrorist attach in
the last 5 Years.
It’s a pity some of our colleagues have died in
road accidents and terrorist attacks.
NYSC is not worth our lives. we want out!
3. MANDATING NYSC INCONSISTENT WITH
LIBERAL RIGHTS
The above is too much English. Let me explain in
literal terms.
As a citizen, I am expected to be Law-Abiding. I
am encouraged (not forced) to vote and to render
voluntary service.
The act of Mandating National Youth Service
before my rights of citizenship are extended is
simply contrary to the purpose for which the
country was founded and has endured.
My right to employment and contesting
government offices shouldn’t be subject to my
NYSC status.
It is wrong. THIS IS WRONG
4. MANDATING NATIONAL SERVICE
DRAINS ITS VIRTUE
Why is it called National Youth Service in the first
instance? It should be more like “Mandatory
National Service”
We have to understand that for an Act to be
Patriotic, it has to be voluntary. If it is required, it
becomes nothing special.
5. NATIONAL SERVICE DISTRACTS US FROM
OUR CAREER
To many of us, the one (1) Year National service is
a big distraction to our career. Many of us go
through the One year scheme and become rusty
intellectual wise. No real challenge, we just sit and
teach Primary 2 Kids all year long.
6. INCREASE IN IMMORALITY
Don’t be surprised.
The Service year unfortunately brings out the
beast in our Youths as many of us see the NYSC
year as a Jolli period where we go at the world.
Little wonder there have been recurring cases of
Corp Members impregnating their infant students.
But an Idle hand they say is the devil’s workshop.
Are Corp Members That Idle? YES THEY ARE! YES
WE ARE!!!
7. WE ARE BAD TEACHERS, BAD ROLE
MODELS

If Your Marriage Is Not Working, Get Out Fast – Joke Silva
Screen goddess, Joke Silva – who is happpily
married to ace actor, Olu Jacobs – in a recent
interview with Nollywood Insider had this to say
about the high rate of divorce in Nollywood.
“Long surviving marriage is not exceptional in this
industry. The thing is that, we are the ones that
people know.
Sony Irabor and Betty; John Momoh and Shola;
and Bayo Oduneye have been married much
longer. What of the late Justus and his wife? We
have marriages that have stood the test of time
just like you will find in other professions.
For me, since you love the person you get
married to, both of you should work at it
together. See it as your main responsibility once
you get married.
Even before you get married, you should ask
yourself, am I capable of making this person my
total responsibility? That, am I willing to dedicate
my time to making this person happy? It is a two
way thing; it is not only the woman that is
supposed to make the man happy, it is also for
the man to make the woman happy. It is the two
of you together and when you do that, it will
work out well.
But if not, I don`t support emotional hardship just
because you want to marry. God forbid bad
thing! If it is not working, get out fast. If you don’t
know where you are going, you should know
where you are coming from.”

Majek Fashek Has Spiritual Problems – Oritz Wiliki
Reggae artist, Orits Wiliki, has said the problem
fellow artist, Majek Fashek, is facing is spiritual
and not just drugs.
Majek, popularly called the Rain Maker, was
recently in a rehabilitation centre but claimed the
sessions he had there did not help him but
merely reduced his libido.
However, Wiliki believes Majek’s problem is
beyond drugs.
“His problem is beyond drugs; it is spiritual.
Sometimes, if you have a one-on-one
conversation with him, he would discuss with
you as if nothing was wrong with him.
“I also think part of the problems is that he is not
busy, he is not engaged. You know, an idle mind
as they say, is the devil’s workshop.
“If we put him in rehab and he finds something
doing after he is confirmed fit, Majek will be well
100 per cent okay I can assure you.
“Even in his present condition, he still maintains
on the same aura on stage that he had when he
was still rave. I believe that if he is busy going on
music tours, there will be no problem.”

» Fire Guts Christ Embassy Church In Lagos «
An early morning fire has razed a section of the
Christ Embassy Church, Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos
State, destroying property said to be worth
millions of naira.
The fire, which reportedly lasted for about two
hours on Wednesday, was said to have affected
four 40-feet containers, reportedly being used as
storage facilities by the church.
The fire, which was said to have started at about
4am, was caused by a burning heap of refuse,
which later engulfed the containers near an
uncompleted building on the church premises.
It will be recalled that another fire incident
occurred in the church in March 2014, which
razed generator houses, damaging about 10
generators.
According to a resident, who claimed to be an
eyewitness, the Wednesday fire, which created
panic and later caused gridlock in the area, was
put out by firefighters from the Alausa Fire
Station, who were joined by some church
workers.
He said, “The fire started from some refuse being
burnt near the containers. It soon engulfed the
containers and lasted for about two hours. It
attracted sympathisers and passersby to the area.
The thick smoke also caused some traffic snarl
along Billings Way, Oregun, where the church is
located.”
The Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaq
Fadipe, confirmed the incident, adding that the
service deployed two fire trucks from the Alausa
station in the area. The director noted that no life
was lost in the inferno.
He said, “We got the distress call at about 5am.
We immediately deployed two fire trucks from
the Alausa Station to attend to it. Four containers
caught up in the fire contained electrical
appliances, pumping machines and pieces of
furniture.
“We were able to put the situation under control.

» Senate Probes Obasanjo And Jonathan’s Power Sector Spendings «
The Senate on Thursday set up a 13-member ad-
hoc committee to carry out a comprehensive
investigation into the management of funds so far
appropriated for the power sector since 1999.
The committee’s work will cover the funding of
the power sector under former presidents
Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan’s
administrations.
The Committee, headed by Senator Abubakar
Kyari, was also given the task to probe the
unbundling of the defunct Power Holding
Company of Nigeria by the Federal Government.
The Upper Chamber took the decision while
passing a motion sponsored by the Senate
Leader, Ali Ndume, seeking the immediate
reconnection of some parts of Borno State back
to the National grid in view of the challenges the
blackout was having on his constituents.
The senate urged the federal government to
complete the Mambilla Power Project with the
aim of improving the state of electricity supply in
the country.
It also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to
direct the Transmission Company Of Nigeria to
immediately reconnect Maiduguri back to the
national grid.
It also directed the committee to conclude its
investigations and report to the Chamber within
two weeks.
The Senators, while contributing to the debate,
also condemned in strong terms, the inability of
the TCN to provide continuous and uninterrupted
power supply to all parts of the country.
Ndume had expressed concern that Nigeria, with
a population of over 150m, produced only 4,600
megawatts, while South Africa with population of
about 40m people produced 40,000 megawatts.
He observed that the disconnection of Maiduguri
in Borno State from the national grid, as well as
the degeneration of power supply across the
country, had affected the economic activities
because of the collapse of several industries.
Ndume also expressed concern that with an
installed power generation potential of about
5,000 megawatts, the output distributed today
was about 1,950 megawatts of energy.
He further said it was disheartening to note that
Iran with 70,000 people generates about 42,000
megawatts, while South Korea with about 35
million people generates about 60,000
megawatts of electricity.
Ndume, who said that Maiduguri and its environs
had been completely disconnected since the
emergence of insurgency, complained that the
situation has grounded economic activities in the
State.
He said, “I buy diesel to run my generator set and
that costs me N10,000 per day. No country can
be said to be near development when there is no
power.
“This Senate needs to investigate to give the
government support. For years now, a lot of
money has been spent but there is nothing to
show for it.”
Senator Danjuma Goje, in his contribution, said
the motion was apt in view of the untold
suffering the lack of power supply had caused
Nigerians.
He said, “The problem of power was on before
1999, and I am surprised that up till today the
power sector is grappling with sufficient power
supply.
“This motion is apt because there is a need to find
out what happened, in spite of the unbundling
and huge amount so far spent.”
Senator Godswill Akpabio lamented that many
companies had shut down operation due to
irregular power supply in the country.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki, noted that the
inadequate power supply in the country was a
cause for concern, as it had affected the
economic growth of the nation.
He observed that the lack of power supply had
plunged the country in further hardship, besides
corruption.
He said, “We thought that with the Power Reform
Act and unbundling of the Power Holding
Company of Nigeria, we will begin to see a relief
with regard to power supply; unfortunately, it is
not so.
“The Ad Hoc Committee should look at the
activities of the Discos and what is preventing
Nigerians from benefitting from the unbundling of
the PHCN.”
The senate subsequently adjourned till September
29.

Ndume, who said that Maiduguri and its environs
had been completely disconnected since the
emergence of insurgency, complained that the
situation has grounded economic activities in the
State.
He said, “I buy diesel to run my generator set and
that costs me N10,000 per day. No country can
be said to be near development when there is no
power.
“This Senate needs to investigate to give the
government support. For years now, a lot of
money has been spent but there is nothing to
show for it.”
Senator Danjuma Goje, in his contribution, said
the motion was apt in view of the untold
suffering the lack of power supply had caused
Nigerians.
He said, “The problem of power was on before
1999, and I am surprised that up till today the
power sector is grappling with sufficient power
supply.
“This motion is apt because there is a need to find
out what happened, in spite of the unbundling
and huge amount so far spent.”
Senator Godswill Akpabio lamented that many
companies had shut down operation due to
irregular power supply in the country.
Senate President, Bukola Saraki, noted that the
inadequate power supply in the country was a
cause for concern, as it had affected the
economic growth of the nation.
He observed that the lack of power supply had
plunged the country in further hardship, besides
corruption.
He said, “We thought that with the Power Reform
Act and unbundling of the Power Holding
Company of Nigeria, we will begin to see a relief
with regard to power supply; unfortunately, it is
not so.
“The Ad Hoc Committee should look at the
activities of the Discos and what is preventing
Nigerians from benefitting from the unbundling of
the PHCN.”
The senate subsequently adjourned till September
29.

Dollar could suffer if U.S. walks away from Iran deal: John Kerry
NEW YORK (Reuters) - If the United States walks
away from the nuclear deal with Iran and
demands that its allies comply with U.S.
sanctions, a loss of confidence in U.S. leadership
could threaten the dollar's position as the world's
reserve currency, the top U.S. diplomat said on
Tuesday.
"If we turn around and nix the deal and then tell
them, 'You're going to have to obey our rules
and sanctions anyway,' that is a recipe, very
quickly ... for the American dollar to cease to be
the reserve currency of the world," U.S.
Secretary of State John Kerry said at a Reuters
Newsmaker event.
Defending the July 14 Vienna agreement between
Iran and world powers that he helped to
negotiate, Kerry deployed a new argument in a
feverish battle to prevent lawmakers from killing
it. Congress has until Sept. 17 to act.
Kerry warned of a potential loss of U.S. financial
and political clout. He said this was not something
that would happen overnight but many countries
were "chafing" under the present international
financial arrangements.
He said U.S. Treasury experts "are doing a full
dive on how this works and what the
implications are. But the notion that we can just
sort of diss the deal and unilaterally walk away as
Congress wants to do will have a profound
negative impact on people's sense of American
leadership and reliability."
New York-based Boris Schlossberg, managing
director of FX Strategy, BK Asset Management,
challenged Kerry's reasoning. He said the dollar’s
status could be compromised only if the United
States was unable to compete economically on a
global scale.
“The reality of the situation is that the U.S. dollar
hasn’t been this strong in decades. The thought
that it could be replaced as a reserve currency is
laughable at this point on a geopolitical basis and
nothing in the Iran deal even remotely touches
upon that issue,” he added.
Economists and financial analysts have often
conjectured that a competing currency like the
euro or the Chinese yuan will eventually dethrone
the dollar as global trade and financial patterns
shift. But the U.S. currency’s position has been
largely immune - mostly for lack of any good
alternative.
KERRY, POINT BY POINT
In an hour-long moderated discussion, Kerry
also:
* Acknowledged that the tone of the Iran debate
had taken on a political edge.
President Barack Obama last week accused critics
of the deal of making common cause with Iranian
hardliners who chant “Death to America” and said
some had beaten the drum for the Iraq war.
"You can squabble maybe with the choice of
words," Kerry said when asked about Obama's
comments. He stressed his view that the Iran
deal should be argued on its merits. "I think the
merits are very, very strong and I think the
president does too," he said.
* Said it would be impossible for Iran to create a
secret program for developing atomic fuel
without the United States being able to detect it
under the deal.
* Said the Iranians were open to discussing
disputes in the Middle East, where Washington
and its allies accuse Tehran of backing proxies in
Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen.
"They said to me, 'If we can get this deal done,
then we're ready to sit down and talk about the
regional issues and we may be able to work
things in different places,'" Kerry said. Iranian
Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif is
currently in Lebanon and had already visited
Kuwait and Qatar in a bid to reach out, he said.
* Said violations by Iran of an arms embargo or
restrictions on its missile program would not
force an automatic return or "snapback" of United
Nations sanctions under the nuclear deal,
although other options would be available.
The agreement gives Tehran some relief from
economic sanctions in return for strict limits on a
nuclear program that the West has suspected
was aimed at creating a nuclear bomb.
Tehran has long denied seeking a nuclear weapon
and has insisted on the right to nuclear
technology for peaceful means. Obama has
never ruled out military force if negotiations failed,
and has said that he and future presidents would
still have that option if Iran quit the agreement.

Of all celebs in celebdom, Justin picked
Kardashian momager Kris Jenner and boyfriend

But before you go WHAAAA, it actually makes a
lot of sense.
See, Gamble just so happens to be Bieber’s tour

Pedro: Barcelona forward 'wants to leave the club'
Barcelona forward Pedro wants to leave
the Spanish side, says technical secretary
Robert Fernandez.
Pedro has been linked with Manchester
United,
as the Premier League side look to replace
Angel Di Maria.
The 28-year-old scored the winner as the Catalan
club beat Sevilla 5-4 in a thrilling Super Cup
on Tuesday.
"Pedro has told me he wants to go. The buyout
clause in his contract is not negotiable but this
could be his final game," said Fernandez.
Pedro 'angry' at not playing
Spain international Pedro has scored 99 goals in
319 games for Barcelona, and has won five La
Liga titles with the club.
Pedro, who made 50 appearances for the Nou
Camp side last season, has won the Champions
League three times, including scoring a goal in the
2011 final against Manchester United. He has also
played a part in Spain's World Cup and European
Championship triumphs.
Asked if he wanted to leave Barcelona, he said on
Tuesday night: "The answer is no. But it is a
difficult, complicated situation. When you know
you may leave it is difficult."
Pedro said the issue around his future was "not
for money", but about "minutes" on the pitch,
adding he had a "lot of anger" at not starting the
Super Cup.
But he criticised Fernandez for "some very
unfortunate declarations".
"I've not said what Robert's said, or at least not
how I said it," the forward told a Spanish
broadcaster after the match.
"The truth is that I had a good chance to play.
The coach has decided not to count on me. I
don't know, I don't know if I will continue here,"
he added.
"Manchester? Yes, there are nice challenges on all
sides. Today I'm here, and I'm happy. And if I
go, I will go with my head held high having
always given everything."
What his team-mates said
Lionel Messi, scorer of two goals against
Sevilla, said: "The players and the club don't know
what he is going to do. It is his decision, but
whatever he does we wish him the best."
Argentine Javier Mascherano added: "Hopefully
he can continue here. He is one of those players
that is made for the big moments. He has that
touch where he delivers at the vital point."
Midfielder Sergio Busquets said: "He is a player
who has helped a lot, that deserves it. Who, as
he said himself, doesn't get all the minutes that he
would like - and I think he deserves.
"But, this is football and I wish him all the best
either here or wherever he wants. He has said he
doesn't want to leave but well, in the end all us
players want to play and we will see what
happens."
'Van Gaal destroys clubs'
However, he has been warned about a move to
Old Trafford, with former striker Hristo
Stoichkov saying he would "no longer be a
footballer" if he went there.
The Bulgarian said: "Pedro is a symbol of
Barcelona, a type of player with energy, he fights
to make himself great. Why do Barcelona need to
sell him?
"I'd never be under the orders of Louis van Gaal.
He destroys clubs, he did it with Barcelona, and
after they take years to build."

Texas police officer fired after fatal shooting of teen
Authorities in Texas have fired a white
police officer who shot and killed an
unarmed black college student.
Christian Taylor broke into a car dealership on
Friday, prompting police to respond.
Arlington Police Chief Will Johnson called Officer
Brad Miller's pursuit of the 19-year-old
"questionable".
Surveillance video shows Taylor jumping on
vehicles in a car park and driving a car through a
window into the showroom.
Taylor's death is one of several cases under
scrutiny in the US, in which an unarmed black
person has died during an arrest or while in
police custody.
Although Taylor - a student at Angelo State
University in West Texas - failed to heed Mr
Miller's orders, Chief Johnson said that there was
no physical contact between the officer and
Taylor.
Mr Miller, a recent graduate of the city's police
academy, shot Taylor four times, killing him.
Chief Johnson said Mr Miller failed to follow police
department policy and put himself and other
officers in danger. The police chief said the officer
"exercised poor judgement".
Mr Miller, 49, has not been charged with any
crime. However, police are still investigating and
will turn over evidence to a grand jury, which will
decide whether to charge him.
It is uncommon for a police officer in the US to be
dismissed so quickly after a shooting involving
the police. The investigative process normally
takes months, which has frustrated victims'
families elsewhere.
However, amid months of nationwide protests
over excess force by police, departments are
becoming more aggressive in dealing with
allegations of officer misconduct.
In April, North Charleston police officer Michael
Slager was quickly fired and charged with
murder after video surfaced showing him
shooting a man in the back as he ran away.

» Trial Of Those Who Stole National Resources To Begin Soon – President Buhari «
President Muhammadu Buhari said Tuesday in
Abuja that the prosecution of persons who have
stolen national resources will begin in a matter of
weeks. President Muhammadu Buhari Wikipedia
Speaking at a meeting with members of the
National Peace Committee led by Gen.
Abdulsalami Abubakar in the Presidential Villa,
President Buhari declared that his administration
was irrevocably committed to doing all within its
powers to break the vicious cycle of corruption,
unemployment and insecurity in Nigeria.
"Nigeria has to break this vicious cycle before we
can make progress," the President said, adding
that his administration was diligently getting facts
and figures pertaining to the nation's stolen funds,
before proceeding to the prosecution of identified
culprits.
President Buhari told General Abdulsalami and
members of his committee that the Federal
Government, under his leadership, will not only
ask for the return of stolen funds that have been
stashed in foreign banks, but will also ensure that
those who stole the funds are put on trial in
Nigeria.
The President also said that as part of its actions
to address the national problems it inherited, his
administration was reorganising Nigeria's revenue
generating institutions.
The President explained that a single treasury
account had been established for all Federal
revenue to ensure greater probity, transparency
and accountability in the collection, disbursement
and utilisation of national funds.
"We have really degenerated as a country. Our
national institutions, including the military, which
did wonderfully on foreign missions in the past,
have been compromised. But we are doing
something about it. The military is now retraining
and morale has been resuscitated.
"As Petroleum Minister under Gen. Olusegun
Obasanjo in the 1970s, I could not travel abroad
until I had taken a memo to the Federal Executive
Council asking for estacode. Now, everybody
does what he wants.
"That is why security-wise and economically,
we're in trouble," President Buhari told his guests,
adding that those who have stolen the national
wealth "will be in court in a matter of weeks and
Nigerians will know those who have short-
changed them."
Gen. Abubakar and members of his committee
urged the Federal Government to be guided by
the rule of law in its fight against corruption.
Members of the National Peace Committee who
accompanied Gen Abubakar on the visit were
Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, His Eminence,
Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto,
Cardinal John Onaiyekan, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor,
President of the Christian Association of Nigeria

Abuja that the prosecution of persons who have
stolen national resources will begin in a matter of
weeks. President Muhammadu Buhari Wikipedia
Speaking at a meeting with members of the
National Peace Committee led by Gen.
Abdulsalami Abubakar in the Presidential Villa,
President Buhari declared that his administration
was irrevocably committed to doing all within its
powers to break the vicious cycle of corruption,
unemployment and insecurity in Nigeria.
"Nigeria has to break this vicious cycle before we
can make progress," the President said, adding
that his administration was diligently getting facts
and figures pertaining to the nation's stolen funds,
before proceeding to the prosecution of identified
culprits.
President Buhari told General Abdulsalami and
members of his committee that the Federal
Government, under his leadership, will not only
ask for the return of stolen funds that have been
stashed in foreign banks, but will also ensure that
those who stole the funds are put on trial in
Nigeria.
The President also said that as part of its actions
to address the national problems it inherited, his
administration was reorganising Nigeria's revenue
generating institutions.
The President explained that a single treasury
account had been established for all Federal
revenue to ensure greater probity, transparency
and accountability in the collection, disbursement
and utilisation of national funds.
"We have really degenerated as a country. Our
national institutions, including the military, which
did wonderfully on foreign missions in the past,
have been compromised. But we are doing
something about it. The military is now retraining
and morale has been resuscitated.
"As Petroleum Minister under Gen. Olusegun
Obasanjo in the 1970s, I could not travel abroad
until I had taken a memo to the Federal Executive
Council asking for estacode. Now, everybody
does what he wants.
"That is why security-wise and economically,
we're in trouble," President Buhari told his guests,
adding that those who have stolen the national
wealth "will be in court in a matter of weeks and
Nigerians will know those who have short-
changed them."
Gen. Abubakar and members of his committee
urged the Federal Government to be guided by
the rule of law in its fight against corruption.
Members of the National Peace Committee who
accompanied Gen Abubakar on the visit were
Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, His Eminence,
Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar, the Sultan of Sokoto,
Cardinal John Onaiyekan, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor,
President of the Christian Association of Nigeria
(CAN) and Archbishop Nicholas Okoh, Primate of
the Anglican Church of Nigeria.
Others were Justice Rose Ukeje (rtd), Prof Ameze
Guobadia, Vanguard Newspaper Publisher, Sam
Amuka, Dame Priscilla Kuye, Senator Ben Obi, Dr.
Yunusa Tanko, and Dr Arthur-Martin Aginam.

which is the heartland of the Islamist militant
group.
“So far, 52 people are injured, 47 dead
persons have been removed from the

around 50 people had been killed.
Boko Haram has killed thousands of people
during a six-year armed campaign to set up an
Islamic state in northeastern Nigeria.
According to a Reuters tally, more than 600
people have been killed in raids and bombings by
the insurgents since President Muhammadu
Buhari took office on May 29, promising to crush
the group.
At the start of the year Boko Haram controlled
territory about the size of Belgium.
The army said it pushed the group from most of
that area in the last few months with the help of
troops from Chad, Niger and Cameroon, but
there has been a recent resurgence in militant
attacks.
No one claimed responsibility for Tuesday’s blast.

» "I Caught My 14-Year-Old Son Watching Porn" «
What could have made my teenage son
interested in sex at his age when he should be
serious with his studies? He is 14-years-old and in
SS1. This is a boy brought up in a good Christian
home. Maybe the mistake was the laptop his dad
bought for him. We had thought it will aid him in
his studies but he is using it for something that
could destroy his future. I’m so sad about it. That
night, I was hearing some sound from his room
around 11PM and I could understand what it
meant. So I tip-toed to his room and saw him
engrossed in the porn movies he was watching. I
was so furious; I beat him and seized his laptop. I
later got to know he was introduced to porn by a
class-mate of his. I told him I’m changing his
school. He has been begging me not to tell his
dad when he returns from his trip but I feel his
father should be aware of the whole thing.
Parents out there, how can I check this situation?

» Court Dissolves 25-Year-Old Marriage Over Wife’s Lateness In Preparing Meals «
An Ikorodu Customary Court, Lagos, on Tuesday
dissolved a 25-year-old marriage, between one
Olufade Adekoya and his wife, Olusola, over
lateness in preparing meals.
President of the court, Mr Olu Adebiyi, who
dissolved the marriage, said there was “no longer
any love in the marriage.’’
Adebiyi said that the court had tried several times
to reconcile their indifferences but all efforts
proved abortive.
“Therefore, you have ceased to be husband and
wife, henceforth.
“I put an end to the union between both of you
from today in the interest of peace,” he said.
The 57-year-old husband had told the court that
his wife does not cook for him regularly and
when she does, the food comes late.
“My wife had failed in her matrimonial obligations;
she doesn’t prepare my food on time, I have
warned her several times but she wouldn’t listen
to me.
“ Most times I go to the canteen to eat when I am
hungry, there is no point in harbouring a wife
that makes me hungry.
“In fact, my sister saw me there one of these
days, I am totally fed up.
“Please separate us, I am no more interested in
the marriage.’’
However, the 45-year-old respondent denied all
the allegations and accused her husband of
wanting to take another wife.
“He is accusing me wrongly because he wants to
take another wife, please help me beg him.

Only My Husband Can Turn Me On – Omotola Ekeinde
Ex-model and Ondo State-born Omotola Jalade-
Ekeinde is a Nigerian actress, singer and
philanthropist. The award-winning actress has
appeared in over 200 movies and received
numerous high-profile awards.
Omotola is the first African celebrity to receive
over one million likes on her Facebook page.
Today, beyond her show business
accomplishments, the mother of four has been
applauded for her remarkable humanitarian
efforts. In this interview with Telegraph’s ABIOLA
ALABA PETERS, the beautiful wife of a pilot and
Member of the Order of the Federal Republic
speaks about her family, politics and what has
helped her get to where she is today
Your children seem to be delving into
showbiz. Was it your idea or their choice?
Absolutely not. It was not my idea or their
father’s, it was proudly their choice. We are
happy about it; we are proud of them and that is
why we are supporting them. Only two of them
are into showbiz. One of my daughters is into
fashion; that is Mariareh. Plans are already in top
gear for her to go study fashion in school. My
first son is a music producer cum singer. He had
wanted to be a pilot, but for funny reasons, he
changed his plans and decided on music.
Do you still influence their decisions?
Not at all. I can only advise them. When it
involves their career, they take decisions for
themselves. If any of my children wants to be a
welder, I will gladly support him or her and give
them the best of education in that field.
How is your online store doing and why
such an initiative?
Oh wow! It’s doing very well. Our clients and fan
base keep growing by the day. I am grateful to
God for that.
If you were offered a ticket to contest for
the seat of a governor in your state and it’s
confirmed you will win, would you consider
the offer?
I won’t accept the offer; but maybe, if it’s in
Lagos, I will accept the offer.
You have been involved in charity work and
some motivational projects. How much joy
does it give you?
I have always been actively involved in charity
work, maybe you don’t see them. I have just
returned from South Africa where I went for a
program, ‘POVERTY S*XIST.’
What is that one thing or those things your
colleagues are fond of in the industry and
you are not down with?
Those who are very close to me know that too
well, I can’t specify.
Have you ever been been attracted to any
man apart from your husband?
No! I’ve never been attracted to any man other
than my husband. My husband is sweet; he’s
very cute, handsome and attractive. He’s the one
man I have always been attracted to all my life.
When will you produce your own movie?
Well, maybe sometime in the future. But for
now, no plans whatsoever.
Twenty years down the line, how has it
been and what lessons do you want your
fans and other upcoming acts to learn from
your rise to fame and fortune?
There’s so much to learn, and that’s why I
introduced my reality show, ‘THE REAL ME.’ It’s
not easy getting here, but I am thankful to God
and my husband. I couldn’t have achieved this
much without him. For my fans and the rising
stars, they should be prayerful, determined,
focused, hardworking and by His grace, they will
get there.
What do you have for those who have
been wishing that your marriage had hit the
rocks a long time ago?
They should keep wishing. That’s all I have to
say.
Three things you cherish about your husband.
Oh my hero, my pillar of support, my ever cute
captain. I admire and respect him for his
calmness, dignity and his love and fear for God.
So much I cherish about him, he’s one in a
million.
Do you still wash your husband’s clothes
and cook for him?
Well, he’s sitting next to me (pointing at her
husband). Maybe, you should ask him.
What advice do you have for President
Muhammadu Buhari?
He should scrap NYSC. It’s not useful, he should
please do that for Nigerians. Our children don’t
need it anymore.
Why do you want NYSC scrapped, knowing
fully well it’s a national orientation
programme?
I have looked at the programme thoroughly and
exactly what it’s supposed to have achieved over
the years. Believe me, there is no credible or
tangible result. It’s a total waste of time and
resources and I think all the time and resources
should be channelled into something more
resourceful.
For instance, I have had situations where some
members of my staff, in the name of NYSC, left
for a year only to come back and their spaces
had been taken by another. You can imagine.
NYSC is not just adding any value to our society
or even to the lives of our children. I am of the
opinion that it should be scrapped.
So what other useful and relevant
programmes do you suggest?
Skills acquisition. We have had situations
whereby the young ones, after graduation, are
with no jobs. They start roaming the streets or
even go into crime to survive. This is an urgent
situation that needs to be addressed.
Let us make good plans for our children, instead
of going to waste a whole year of their struggle,
claiming they are serving their fatherland. They
should be trained and equipped with skills. That
way, their future is secure.
Where do you see yourself and your
children, especially those in showbiz, in
five years?
B y G o d ’ s g r a c e , five years from now, I see
them at the peak of their careers, all doing us
proud with their different talents.
