Loftus-Cheek hails Kante signing: We're lucky to have him!

The 20-year-old midfielder has given his verdict on the summer signing from Leicester City and insists that he is looking forward to seeing how good Michy Batshuayi could be

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has hailed the club's decision to sign N'Golo Kante from Leicester City and believes he is the ideal addition to Antonio Conte's squad.
The 25-year-old, who joined from the Premier League champions for £30 million, will meet his Blues team-mates for the first time in America, with Conte's men taking part in the International Champions Cup.
And Kante, who was a beaten finalist at Euro 2016 with France, could even make his first appearance against Liverpool on Wednesday, with Loftus-Cheek excited at the prospect of playing alongside the holding midfielder.
"Definitely [excited about the signing of Kante], he is a great asset to us," Loftus-Cheek told Goal. "His stamina and how he can get up and down the pitch for 90 minutes [is impressive]. He is a really good player so we are lucky to have him.
"He is a really hard worker and he is a proper team player. We could do with that in midfield and he could really help.
"Some people’s careers take off at different moments, he wasn’t on the radar but then for Leicester City he has done really well, won a title for them and now he is going to be playing for Chelsea so I am really happy for him and the club are really happy to have him."
Loftus-Cheek also discussed the arrival of Michy Batshuayi from Marseille, with the forward already having made a decent impression in pre-season, scoring twice in a behind-closed-doors 8-0 friendly win over Atus Ferlach.
"We have all met him and welcomed him, he looks good in training," the England youngster said at his team's training camp in Velden. "He is quite powerful and it will be good to play with him and see what he can do.
"We will have to see what happens in the game, I am sure we will link up well. We are doing tactics in training, trying to get used to the movements so I think he will be good.
"I watched the Euros and he really does look good. He is fast, powerful and can head the ball so we are lucky to have him."
