Pregnant Cossy Orjiakor Getting Married To White Lover , Says Wedding Will Hold In Las Vegas

Pregnant Cossy Orjiakor Getting Married
To White Man, Says Wedding Will Hold In Las Vegas
Nigeria’s most controversial singer, Cossy Orjiakor has
found love.
The busty diva told Saturday Beats yesterday that her
decision to get married is not because of her condition but
that the time is right.
Cossy told SB that she will be getting married to her
‘white lover’ this year in Las Vegas.
Her words:
“I am not getting married because I am pregnant. I am
walking down the aisle with the man of my dreams
because both of us are in love with each other. It is a
feeling of pure love. I am hoping to get married abroad
most especially in Las Vegas but I don’t know about my
man. I chose Las Vegas because I like the city and its
scenery.
“I am still going to be in Nigeria after marriage. Rather than
leave the country, I would encourage my man to start up a
business here in Nigeria. I am not the type of lady that
would leave my fatherland.”
“I don’t know if my style would change but the person I am
with likes me the way I am. He is not complaining. I am
not going to divulge much information about my man till
the D-day but he is not in the Nigerian entertainment
industry,”.
Unconfirmed sources claim that Cossy is likely to get
married to the cute Oyinbo man pictured above
The two reportedly met in Paris last year.

Soyinka Praises Buhari For Exposing Corrupt Politicians Who Looted Nigeria Dry Under GEJ

Soyinka Gives Kudos To Buhari For
Exposing Corrupt Politicians Who Looted Nigeria Dry During
GEJ Regime
The Nobel Laureate made the remark today as Lai
Mohammed paid him a visit at home in Lagos.
Soyinka said the level of corruption exposed under
Buhari’s administration showed that Nigeria is really
working hard to rid self of corruption.
Hear him:
“We have not had a case where it had been alleged and
increasingly proven that money supposed to be spent on
defending ourselves, our nation, our neighbourhood, has
been shared among individuals.
“We never had experience where we were in a state of
critical emergency where children are being kidnapped
under our noses.
“Never had there been in a situation where we are helpless
and our soldiers are sent to the front to defend our very
existence and we are not backing them up with conduct
that shows integrity and commitment.
“Because of these reasons, corruption is really desperate
and has chosen to fight back, but I am confident that
corruption will be resolved’’ .

Has Bishop David Oyedepo Retired From Winners Chapel, Will His Son Replace Him ? See The Truth Here

Winners Chapel Debunks Bishop David
Oyedepo’s Retirement Rumour, Says Son Not Replacing
Him
When Is Bishop David Oyedepo Retiring From Winners
Chapel??? Read The Official Statement From Living Faith
Church
On Wednesday it was hinted that Bishop Oyedepo’s first
son, David Oyedepo Junior will be announced as the new
resident Pastor of the Living Faith Church, Winners Chapel
Canaan-land Ota.
Few hours after, rumour mills took to the web to announce
that Bishop Oyedepo has retired from active service, a
story that spread like wildfire.
Today, Winners chapel released an official press statement
to shut down the “wicked” rumour.
The statement reads:
Every apostolic ministry like ours is a priestly
commission and because priesthood is for a lifetime, his
(Oyedepo) presidency and priesthood is for a
lifetime.“Moses, Joshua, Aaron ministered and his son also
did; Elijah, Elisha and Paul, among others. Therefore any
online publication purporting his retirement is false.
The good news of generational success as promised by
God for the righteous must be causing pains for the
ignorant, the envious and the wicked. Refuse to be a part
of propagating evil.”
David Oyedepo Junior, the former resident Pastor at
Winners Chapel London has returned to Nigeria to Pastor

» I’m Happy My Ex-Wife Has Forgiven Me – 9ice «

During the week, 9ice ex-wife, Tony Payne, posted a
lengthy write up on her website that she has officially
forgiven the singer and father of her child. In her write up,
she said for about six years, she was angry and bitter
towards the singer because he did not defend her when
people were peddling tales of infidelity against her.
In an exclusive chat with Saturday Beats, the singer said
that he was very happy when he saw the post by his ex-
wife.
He said, “I saw the write-up my ex-wife posted on the
internet where she wrote that she has forgiven me after
six years. It is a very good development and I am happy
she had forgiven me after all these years. Contrary to
public opinion we have been friends all these while. The
most important thing is that even when things are not
working or they are not the way they should seem with a
person, you should endeavour to remain friends with the
person. That is very important. We are friends and we
remain friends.”
When asked about their son, Zion, the proud father
described the lad as a genius.
“Zion can do anything and become anything he wants to be
in life. He is into music, sport, science; he is a very
brilliant child. Some time when I think of how much of a
genius he is, I get scared. He is still a young chap and it is
when he grows up that we can actually decide what career
he should pursue. He is a multitalented kid,” the singer
said.
Basking in the euphoria of the success of his current song,
9ice said he didn’t envisage the song would be a hit.
“The acceptance of my new song, ‘Abefe’, has been very
fantastic and it has gone beyond what we expected
because we have not even begun to seriously promote it.
All we have done is to promote it online and it has been
widely accepted and that is what motivated us to make
compact disc for the song. I already have a follow-up song
to, ‘Abefe’, and it is called ‘ATM’, meaning At The Moment.
It is a party song and it is about how a person feels at the
moment; or what God has done in the life of a person at
the moment,” 9ice said.

» How To Score Very High In JAMB/UTME Exam «

Exams are extremely stressful events in everyone’s life,
and the only way to deal with them satisfactorily is to be
well-prepared, Motivation is an important factor that would
help you to study well for your exams. This is not an art or
a big technique. It is as simple as your need to feed
yourselves everyday.
Scoring a high mark in the UTME exam is not as difficult
as most students think it is , it all depends on you ability
to prepare well and heed to simple instructions. This tips
will guide you on how to prepare well and achieve success
in your UTME exam.
==>>Utilize the Early Morning Hours:
Lose an hour in the morning, and you will be all day hunting
for it. ~Richard Whately
It has scientifically proven that our brains work at its best
during the early morning hours. The freshness that you
feel in the morning time, can be found nowhere in the rest
of the day. During the morning, you can study some
subject whichever you feel is complicated, because the
grasping power of the brain will be more during this time.
The point is, once you gain confidence in a difficult subject,
you can easily go on with other subjects and excel without
much effort.
Note: Don’t try doing this, resting on your down comforter
or trying to study beside someone who is having a good
sleep in the early morning, because undesirable
psychological effects can overtake you.
==>>Avoid Exam Anxiety/Overcome Your Fear :
One of the main reasons why students fail their UTME
exams is because of FEAR! They’re not really afraid of the
exam itself, what they are actually afraid of is FAILURE!!
They’re afraid of the consequences that awaits them if
they fail they exam.
As a student , if you really want to pass the UTME exam ,
then you must overcome your fear!!. Look at the UTME
exam as a roadblock between you and 10 million naira,
remove that entity of fear in you and push that roadblock
out of your way to glory!!
==>>Study Regularly/Everyday :
Researches has shown that 60% of nigerian students don’t
read , which has been one of the major reasons why the
nigerian education sector has continued to dwindle.
The brain can give out information ONLY when you input
data in it , so the more you read the more knowlege you
get and that improves your chances of passing an exam.
As a student , study hard and prepare well for your exam.
Forget all the luxries and focus more on inputing data into
your brain!. Spend at least 4 hours of your day reading ,
read according to JAMB’s syllabus and focus more on
areas where questions are most likely to come from.
==>>Associate Yourself with Good and Hardworking
People:
It is true that friends play a significant role in shaping your
career. When you associate yourself with bad and
irresponsible people who care the least about their
education, it is likely that they may rub off on you. The
positive waves from good and hardworking friends, will
motivate you to study well.
==>>Answer Past Questions Regularly:
Its always good to know the area and mode at which
questions are being set, Get past questions of the previous
years and try to answer them. Get familiar with their
question asking pattern. Every past question has a 3/5
chance of been repeated. Doing this will help you a lot.
==>>Work More On Your Question Answering Speed :
You don’t have all day to answer a question!. Jamb gives
you limited time to answer a question , therefore , it is
essential for you to work on your question answering
speed. On average you have about 60 seconds to spend on
a question. Spending more than 60 seconds would slow
you down and leave you lagging behind. Don’t delay
yourself on a question , if you didn’t get the answer to a
question , skip it and move on to the next question. You
can always go back to the ones you didn’t do.
==>>Choosing The Right Answer/Option In The Multiple
Choice Question :
This is where students fall into jamb’s trap. The UTME
exam is one of the most Tactical exams in nigeria. Its is
very tactical but yet easy. The answers are somehow look
a-likes. You have four options A B C D , and out of those 4
A And B looks Correct. The real answer is staring at you
but you’re too blind to see it!. What do you do in this kind
of situation?
If you’ve really prepared (read alot) then it becomes easy
for you. In this kind of situation , the first thing to do is to
eliminate!! Eliminate the incorrect answers and leave your
self with the ones that are most likely to be correct.
Afterthat , look carefully at the options once more and try
to relate them to the question that was asked. You’ld
definately find one that corresponds to your question , pick
that one as your answer!!.
Don’t…
>>Procrastinate your course of study.
>>Keep your cell phones and other gadgets while you are
studying. They consume all your time without your
knowledge.
>>Get intimidated if your friends are running ahead of you.
>>Miss the lectures of good and efficient teachers.
>>Let anyone say that you cannot do it.
That's all readers hope you find it useful..

» "I Wasn’t Gang Raped; I Agreed To Have Sex With Them" - 16-Year-Old «

A 16-year-old Junior High School student shocked parents
and police officers at Akyem Tafo District Police Command
in Ghana when she openly admitted that she consciously
allowed two Senior High School students to have sexual
intercourse with her in a room.
According to Ghana’s Daily Heritage newspaper, she also
denied the parents’ allegation of being gang raped by the
students.
Three second cycle students of the Institute of
Professional Studies at Akyem Kukurantumi in the Eastern
Region were arrested by the Kukurantumi Police for
allegedly gang-raping the 16- year-old Junior High School
student.
The suspects were arrested late last year, but were later
granted police enquiry bail after the shocking revelation by
the victim.
The Daily Heritage gathered that the parents of the victim
reported to the police that the three suspects had gang-
raped the victim after holding her hostage for days.
Police investigations led to the arrest of the suspects who
were trapped by the victim to spend the night with her
again.
The suspects were kept in police custody for further
investigations for prosecution to begin; however, during
interrogation by the Criminal Investigations Department in
the presence of the family of the victims, the victim
explained that, one of the suspects was her boyfriend so
after evening studies, she decided to pass the night in his
room which he shares with his friends.
The victim admitted consciously having sexual intercourse
twice with the boyfriend and once with his boyfriend’s
friend in the absence of the boyfriend since she fell in love
with him (friend to her boyfriend).
The victim, however, denied having sexual intercourse with
the third suspect during police interrogation.
The Akyem Tafo District Police Commander, DSP Agyenim
Boateng, told The Daily Heritage that, the victim even
though admitted having sexual intercourse with the two
suspects, was not forced, hence, rendering the “ingredient
of rape negligible to substantiate because it clearly
appears to be a sexual intercourse which was consented
to by the parties involved, therefore, it would be
unreasonable to continuously detain the suspects.”
The police, thus, granted the suspects police enquiry bail
with surety, while the docket is being prepared to the
Attorney General’s office for advice.

» "How My Husband Pushed Me Into Having Sex With Other Men" «

I’ve been married to my husband for over 20 years and we
have four lovely children. He’s always had series of affairs
that I’ve lost count. I’ve stopped talking to him about them
and when friends did, he told them smugly that he must be
doing something right or I would have left.
He says his affairs are really for the sex and he would
never leave me for another woman. Big deal!
I’m quite an attractive woman myself and still wear a size
14 dress. I have a good job and dress well and recently I
started looking at other men the way my husband might
look at other women and wondered what it would be like to
have sex with them. You know what?
My husband was right, you can have good sex without
getting emotionally involved as I’ve since found out. I don’t
know if he suspects anything, but lately he’s been showing
signs of being jealous, why should he have all the fun?

» Nnamdi Kanu Was Never In Possession Of Any Weapon - SaharaReporters «

Leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB),Nnamdi
Kanu, did not have any weapons in his possessions when
agents of the Department of State Security (DSS) arrested
him on October 15, 2015.
A document compiled by the DSS and exclusively obtained
by SaharaReporters show that no weapons were among the
personal items in Mr. Kanu’s possession at the time of his
arrest. Mr. Kanu is also the director of Radio Biafra, a
clandestine station that broadcasts pro-Biafra messages.
Since Mr. Kanu’s arrest at Tulip Hotel in Lagos, Lagos
State, there had been rumors on social media that Nigerian
security agents had discovered several guns and other
weapons among his belongings.
The handwritten DSS document show that the list of items
belonging to Mr. Kanu included numerous pieces of
technology and digital communications equipment. The
Biafran agitator had four laptop computers, two iPads, five
computer modems, six mobile phones, thirty-eight SIM
cards for various mobile networks, one Alexis Multimix
transmitter, and several mixers and microphone equipment
for recording.
The DSS document did not specify whether the technical
and communications equipment were being actively used
for Radio Biafra broadcasts at the time of Mr. Kanu’s
arrest.
Other items belonging to Mr. Kanu, and listed in the
DSSdocument, included Pierre Cardin trinkets, an
assortment of colognes and body oils, male clothing,
eyeglasses, and wristwatches.
Even though the DSS arrested Mr. Kanu in Lagos, they
subsequently moved the fierce advocate for Biafran
secession to Abuja where they detained him for weeks
without formal charge. Mr. Kanu’s legal team has alleged
that, while in confinement, their client was denied medical
and legal attention for several weeks before being formally
charged for crimes against the state.
After the government withdrew the initial charges against
Mr. Kanu, DSS agents rearrested the Biafran agitator on
fresh charges that were filed at a Federal High Court. The
case against the IPOB leader is winding through the judicial
system.

Egypt attack: Three tourists stabbed at Hurghada hotel

Three foreign tourists have been injured after attackers stormed into a hotel in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Hurghada.
The two attackers were killed by security forces at the four-star Bella Vista hotel.
The tourists - whose nationalities are not yet known - were stabbed but their wounds are not serious.
The assailants were aiming to kidnap tourists and one wore an explosive belt, Egyptian officials told the BBC.
The BBC's Sally Nabil in Cairo says Hurghada remains on high alert with all roads in and out closed off. Police forces are still searching for possible further attackers, she says.

Egypt is battling Islamist militants based in the nearby Sinai peninsula, including an Islamic State affiliate.
That group said it downed a Russian plane which crashed in October 2015, with the loss of 224 lives.
A spokesman for the UK Foreign Office said they were "urgently investigating" the reports from Hurghada.
He did not know whether any Britons might be affected.

Sadly for Egypt, this is only the latest incident in a growing list of sporadic terrorist attacks carried out by jihadist fanatics, aimed at harming the government and driving away much-needed foreign investment and tourism.
The most potent threat emanates from the Egyptian affiliate of the so-called Islamic State, based in the northern Sinai Peninsula across the Red Sea from where Friday's hotel attack took place.
But ever since bombers attacked the resort of Sharm el-Sheikh in 2005 the authorities have gone to great lengths to secure the country's Red Sea resorts.
Until last October's downing of a Russian passenger plane - which Russia and Britain believe was caused by a bomb - the coastal resorts had remained largely free from terrorism for years.
Egypt was able to deal swiftly and effectively with this latest attack in Hurghada but the authorities will want to establish where it was launched from and what further precautions they now need to take.
An attack on a bus at a hotel near the Giza pyramids on Thursday was claimed by IS, which said it was targeting "a tourist bus carrying Jews".
Egyptian officials said no-one was hurt in the attack, near Cairo. Arab Israeli tourists were staying at the hotel, reports said.
After the Russian plane crashed in the Sinai peninsula on 31 October, the UK and other European countries halted flights to Sharm el-Sheikh, citing security fears.
Russia also stopped all flights to Egypt.
The departures board on Hurghada airport's website shows foreign tourists travelling to the resort this week have come from Turkey, Germany, Sweden and the UK.

» Robbers Disguised As Policemen Rape Youth Corpers Along Kaduna-Abuja Highway «

Seven corps members returning from the recent holidays were among the 16 passengers attacked by robbers at a spot on the Kaduna-Abuja highway on Sunday.

The females among the corps members serving in Enugu and Ebonyi states were reportedly raped by the hoodlums who blocked the highway to stop vehicles.

A victim of the attack told the News Agency of Nigeria in Enugu on Friday that the 16-seater bus carrying them was attacked by the robbers who disguised as policemen.

She said that the bus left Television Garage in Kaduna around 8:30pm and was attacked a few kilometres away from the garage.

The victim further said the robbers mounted a road block to give the impression that they were policemen on duty.

“As we approached the road block, the driver noticed that they were not policemen and tried to retreat but it was late.

“The robbers sensing what our driver wanted to do, left other cars and descended on us,” she said.

The victim said that the robbers forcefully raped all the female corps members in the bus and took all their belongings which included laptops, jewelries, handsets, foodstuffs and money.

The corps member appealed to the government to ensure adequate security on the highways

» Yaya Toure Insults CAF Player Of The Year Award «

The Manchester City and Ivory Coast midfielder lost out to Borussia Dortmund's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the voting, a decision he says "brings shame to Africa" Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has reacted angrily to losing out on the CAF African Footballer of the Year award, saying the decision is "pathetic", "indecent" and "brings shame to Africa".
Toure hit out at his critics in a controversial interview in October, accusing detractors of "spreading bulls***", and has had a number of run-ins with the press in the United Kingdom and his home continent.
The 32-year-old captained the Ivory Coast to their first Africa Cup of Nations triumph since 1992 at the start of last year and was named in the competition's team of the tournament.
But he lost out to Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the individual stakes - voted for by coaches and technical directors - and has now hit out at the decision makers, insisting "even Fifa" would not have reached such a conclusion.
“I’m very, very disappointed," he told Afrique Foot. "It’s sad to see Africa react this way, that they don't think African achievements are important.
“I think this is what brings shame to Africa, because to act in that way is indecent. But what can we do about it? Us Africans, we don’t show that Africa is important in our eyes. We favour more what’s abroad than our own continent. That is pathetic.
“Even Fifa, with all its history of corruption, wouldn’t do this.”
Toure is no stranger to courting controversy in the press and it appears more on the way after he vowed to "tell the truth" when questions come his way.
“Yaya will take care of Yaya and let Africa take care of itself," he added. "As I’ve been told many times, you can’t take care of Africa too much because Africa will be the first to let you down.
“When I return to Europe, a lot of questions will be asked. I think I’m going to have to answer them. As I’m someone who’s honest, I will always tell the truth.”

During the rescue process, Okere attempted to escape but was prevented by the residents who apprehended and handed him over to the police at Itire division.

The victim who was in comma was rushed to a hospital where she was later revived.
She sustained injuries in her eyes and private part.

In a statement to the police, Okere admitted that he actually raped the victim and said that he did not know what came over him.
Okere said he lives at 4, Smith Fadairo Street in Mushin and hails from Orlu in Imo State.

He was charged with attempted murder, rape and assault under the Criminal Code.
When he was arraigned, he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Mr U. A. Oje informed the court that the victim was still lying in critical condition at the hospital because he held her throat tightly until she collapsed and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.

The matter was adjourned till 22 February, 2016

» Lassa Fever Kills Forty In Ten States – Health Minister «

Forty people have died in Nigeria in a suspected outbreak of Lassa fever in 10 states across the country, Health Minister Isaac Adewole said Friday.
“The total number (of suspected cases) reported is 86 and 40 deaths, with a mortality rate of 43.2 percent,” Adewole told a news conference in the capital, Abuja.
The minister said that so far, laboratory tests have confirmed that 22 of the 86 suspected cases were Lassa fever and results were expected on the remainder.
Seven of the affected states are in the north — Bauchi, Nasarawa, Niger, Taraba, Kano, Plateau and Gombe — while the remaining three are in the south — Rivers, Edo and Oyo — he added.
The first case of the disease was recorded last November in Bauchi state. Cases were then reported in Kano and elsewhere.
According to the WHO, Lassa fever is an acute haemorrhagic illness which belongs to the arenarvirus family of viruses, which also includes the Ebola-like Marburg virus.
People with Lassa fever do not display symptoms in 80 percent of cases but it can cause serious symptoms and death in the remainder.
The virus, which is endemic in rodents in west Africa, is transmitted to humans by contact with food or household items contaminated with the animals’ faeces and urine.
Person-to-person contact is also possible through bodily fluids, particularly in hospitals when adequate infection control measures are not taken.
The number of Lassa fever infections in west Africa every year is between 100,000 to 300,000, with about 5,000 deaths, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Adewole said recorded cases of Lassa fever in Nigeria peaked in 2012 at 1,723 with 112 fatalities but rates have declined since then.
In the latest outbreak, the minister said “most of the cases that we recorded are not through person-to-person contact” but the number of deaths was “unusual”.
He expressed concern about disease notification systems, particularly in Niger state, where “unusual” deaths in August were not reported for up to four months.
Authorities in Lagos, Nigeria’s most populous city of more than 20 million people, on Thursday alerted residents on the need to observe proper hygiene to curb the spread of the disease.
Lagos state, in the southwest, is some 80 kilometres (50 miles) from Oyo state, where suspected cases have been reported.

» FG To Introduce Death Insurance For Soldiers Fighting Boko Haram «

The Minister of Defence, retired Brig.-Gen. Mansur Dan-Ali, said on Friday that the Federal Government would introduce insurance package for soldiers fighting insurgency in the North-East.

Dan-Ali made the disclosure while briefing newsmen shortly after a Special Juma’at Prayer to mark the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration in Abuja.

He said that already there were numerous packages enjoyed by the military as a way of motivating them to ensure the success of the ongoing counter insurgency operation.

“Normally we have package for the families of the fallen heroes but recently we are introducing the death insurance which has not been done before.

“It is an additional package by President Muhammadu Buhari to motivate our gallant armed forces and to take care of the families of the fallen heroes,“ he said.

The minister solicited for prayers from all Nigerians to ensure the defeat of the Boko Haram terrorists.

He said that the military was getting it right in the ongoing fight against insurgency, and expressed optimism that Boko Haram would soon be a thing of the past in the country.

“I believe Nigerians are fully aware of what the military has done so far and with their prayers everything will come to an end very soon,“ he said.

Earlier, the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, said that the prayer was part of recognition of the sacrifice made by men and women who laid down their lives to defend the country.

“We must continue to do this not only to motivate their families that are left behind but to also encourage our men that are presently fighting insurgency,“ Saraki said.

He called on all Nigerians to always remember the fallen heroes in their daily prayers and also pray for the unity and development of the country.

On his part, the Deputy Chief Imam of the National Mosque, Sheikh Ahmad Onilewura, prayed for the victory of the armed forces over the forces of evil in the country.

The prayer was attended by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sadique Abubakar, The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed and the Minister of state for Environment, Alhaji Usman Jibrin, among others.

» Saudi Arabia And United Arab Emirates To Remove Fuel Subsidy «

U.A.E. Removes Fuel Subsidy as Oil Drop Hurts Arab Economies

The United Arab Emirates, the third-biggest OPEC producer, will link gasoline and diesel prices to global oil markets starting next month, becoming the first country in the oil-rich Persian Gulf to remove transport fuel subsidies.

Fuel prices will be deregulated as of Aug. 1, the Ministry of Energy said in a statement on Wednesday. Diesel prices will also be linked to global markets, and are initially expected to decline, it said. Prices for both fuels will be announced on the 28th day of each month, the ministry said.

Gasoline is now subsidized in the U.A.E., the second-biggest Arab economy and home to about 6 percent of the world’s oil reserves. Unleaded gasoline 98 octane in the U.A.E. sells for 1.83 dirhams (50 cents) a liter, according to prices on the ministry’s website. The U.S. price of premium unleaded gasoline is $3.18 a gallon, or 84 cents a liter, according to AAA, the biggest U.S. auto group. That compares with 16 cents in Saudi Arabia, the largest OPEC producer.

“There was no reason to subsidize in a country that is as rich as the U.A.E.,” said Nasser Saidi, former chief economist at Dubai International Financial Centre and head of Nasser Saidi and Associates. “All manufacturing and industry which is highly energy intensive will need to adjust. People will now have to think twice before buying gas guzzling cars.”

» Ex Minister Of Information & Ex Anambra Governor, Jim Nwobodo Dumps PDP For APC «

A former minister of information, and governor of the old Anambra State, Chief Jim Nwobodo, on Friday defected to the All Progressive Congress.
Nwobodo, a former Senator and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, attended an APC meeting, reportedly convened by Foreign Affairs minister, Dr. Jeffrey Onyeama, in Enugu.
He declared his membership of the party at the meeting, to the surprise of most of the APC members present at the event.
A former PDP senator from Enugu State, Chief Fidelis Okoro, also defected to the APC at the meeting.
Okoro was in the Senate between 1999 and 2007.
There were indications that the former PDP bigwigs’ defection did not go down well with the some APC members, who openly voiced their dissatisfaction with the development at the meeting.
The party faithful could not hide their surprise, and shock, when Nwobodo arrived at the venue of the meeting in company with Okoro.
Some APC members, who apparently understood the duo’s mission at the meeting, voiced their disapproval.
Chairman of the party in Enugu State, Dr. Ben Nwoye, who appeared to have prior knowledge of the defection, got the aggrieved party members to calm down before Nwobodo made his declaration speech.
In his declaration speech, Nwobodo had harsh words for his old party, PDP.
Nwobodo condemned the PDP, and blamed the party’s leadership for allowing five governors to leave for the APC in the build up to the 2015 general elections.
According to him, he is joining the APC to move the people of Enugu State into the mainstream at the federal level.
Drawing from his experience as a governor, he said it was not good being in the opposition.
He said members of the APC in Enugu State should not to be discouraged by the electoral losses they suffered in the state in the past.
“You must always lose, what matters is the ability to rise again.
“I must condemn our former party, PDP – I know we had problems.
“I told our former chairman, how come did we allow five governors to leave the party?
“I am not looking for a job, I am talking because I want peace.
“I want our people to be part of the Federal Government at the centre.
“I had a problem being an opposition governor.
“I am not coming into APC because I want anything.
“I want our people to be reintegrated and have our own share of the Federal Government resources,” Nwobodo said.
Nwobodo recalled that while he was in PDP, his wife had always been an active member of the APC.
He pointed out that the slogan “change” did not start now with the APC.
According to him, it started in 1983, when he was an opposition governor.

» "7 Reasons Why People Kiss With Their Eyes Closed" «

Why do people close their eyes when they kiss?

Who invented this custom? When you don’t keep your eyes closed you’re violating a sacred principle. It’s like eating cereal with your hands when nobody’s around. Nobody sees you, but you still feel weird and like you’re violating the natural order.

If you need a reason to keep your eyes closed while kissing, here are seven top reasons, according to a poll.

Reasons why people kiss with their eyes closed:

1. You wouldn’t want to see what you look like while kissing, so neither would your partner;

2. Your brain can’t make your tongue swirl around if your eyes are moving at the same time. It’s the same principle as trying to pat your head while using your other hand to go in circles over your belly;

3. It’s weird enough to kiss with your eyes open, but even weirder to make moaning sounds;

4. It’s bad for your eyeballs to look that close at anything;

5. For females, it ruins everything if you’re fantasizing about Brad Pitt when you’re
actually staring at something closer to Lalasticlal.a;

6. For males, if you’re kissing in the middle of intercourse, with your eyes closed it’s easier to imagine Soccer;

7. With your eyes open, your lover’s nose looks bigger than Aso Rock.
