Middle-aged man arraigned for Impersonating Lagos State Deputy Governor

Adamu Aminu, a middle-aged man has been arraigned for impersonating Lagos State Deputy Governor, Idiat Adebule and fraudulently collecting N1million from an unsuspecting victim.

The suspect who was arraigned by the Lagos State Government before an Ebute-Metta Magistrate Court allegedly duped the unsuspecting victim under the pretence of raising money for an orphanage falsely claimed to be owned by Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Idiat Oluranti Adebule.

He is currently facing a four-count charge of impersonation, conspiracy, false pretence and fraud.  The prosecutor, Rafiu Aroyehun, an Assistant Director with the State’s Ministry of Justice, said Aminu perpetrated the crime sometime in August in Agege area of the State. “He alongside others now at large, impersonated the public officer and unlawfully postured as the Lagos State Deputy Governor by calling and sending SMS on a mobile number 09064583091 to the public as the said Deputy Governor.

“He alongside others now at large, impersonated the public officer and unlawfully postured as the Lagos State Deputy Governor by calling and sending SMS on a mobile number 09064583091 to the public as the said Deputy Governor.”  After the charges were read to the defendant, he pleaded not guilty while his lawyer, Mrs Uzuomaka Nwafor applied for bail on liberal terms.  Nwafor hinged the bail application on the ground that the crime which the defendant was charged with, is bailable and that he (Aminu) was presumed innocent until otherwise proven.

In her ruling, Chief Magistrate Oluyemisi Adelaja, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N300, 000 and two sureties in like sum.  One of the sureties, according to the Court, must be resident within the defendant’s neighbourhood, while the other surety must show proof of employment with a reputable organisation.  The surety must also be resident within court’s jurisdiction, while both sureties must provide evidence of tax clearance.  The matter was subsequently adjourned to October 16, 2017.

She inserted hot boiling ring into victim's vagina - Abu Dhabi based Nigerian woman is accused

High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) sitting in Maitama, has remanded an Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirate UAE) based Nigerian lady, Rita Chinenye Ani, her elder sister, Ngozi Stella Ani (A.K.A Princess) in prison custody over alleged human trafficking.

The sisters and two other persons Ozigi Abdulkarim and Princewill James were on Thursday,  arraigned before the Court presided over by Hon. Justice Yusuf Halilu by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

They were taken to Court by NAPTIP on a 10 Count Charge that ran contrary to Sections 13, 14, 18 and 26(b) of the Trafficking in Persons (Prohibition) Enforcement and Administration Act, 2015. The NAPTIP legal team was led by Mr Aondona Orti, Chief Legal Officer.

The defendants were recently arrested by operatives of NAPTIP in two operations in Gwarimpa, Abuja and Ibadan, the Oyo State capital. Rita, who returned home from Abu Dhabi to perform her traditional marriage rites preparatory to moving to the United Kingdom with her fiancé, was arrested in Ibadan by the newly established NAPTIP- Rapid Response Squad (NAPTIP-RRS).

The lid of these suspects was blown recently when one of the victims returned from Abu Dhabi after 4 months of forced prostitution by Rita and under very excruciating conditions including flogging and the insertion of hot boiling ring into her vagina when she does not make enough money a day and forceful collection of the proceeds of the prostitution from her by Rita.

The Victim (Name withheld) who is 19 years old was recruited from Gwarimpa, Abuja by her ex-boyfriend Ozigi Abdulkarim, Ngozi Stella Ani and Princewill James for onward transfer to Rita Ani in Abu Dhabi UAE. They prepared her travel documents, took her to Ogbomoso, Oyo State where fetish oath was administered on her before the journey.

When the case came up Friday, the four defendants who were represented by Counsel pleaded not guilty to the 10 counts charge proffered against them. Counsel to Rita and the elder sister Ngozi did not file a formal application for bail; hence the Presiding Judge ordered that they be remanded in prison custody.

Their Counsel had earlier made an oral application to the Court for them to be remanded in NAPTIP custody which the Court turned down.

Ozigi Abdulkarim  and  Princewill James on the other hand, had through their Counsel, M. Ojobor and Ugochukwu Opara made a formal application for their bail.

The Judge granted them bail based on the conditions that they must provide 2 Sureties each and that the Sureties must not be below the rank of a Director in the Public Service in Abuja. The Sureties who must own a house each in the FCT must show proof of being in service by presenting their letters of first appointment and last promotion.

The case was subsequently adjourned to Wednesday13th September, 2017 for hearing.

My ex husband became a woman after 12 years of marriage but we still live together - with my new boyfriend"

Kristin Collier met Fred when she was 18. Three months later they were engaged and married in a candlelight ceremony that same summer. Years after everything changed.

Life after marriage was amazing for Kristin. At 32, her young sons Trin and Sam were healthy and happy, her marriage to her tall, handsome husband Fred, 44, was rock solid, and her life was idyllic. Kristin and Fred both had successful careers: Fred as a housing designer, and Kristin as a marketing director. Everything seemed perfect.

But everything changed in 2005 after the birth of their second son, Sam. Kristin took her sons to spend some time with their grandmother while Fred stayed home to work. When Fred rang one sunny afternoon, Kristin was excited to fill him in on what the boys had been up to that morning, but he sounded serious as he said they needed to talk about "clothes". Fred then explained to his wife that he needed to wear women’s clothes. He didn’t understand why, but he knew it wasn’t just a phase.

"Truth was, there were things in our past that I’d chosen to ignore. The time Fred handed me my favourite red dress, inexplicably ripped. The time I noticed my negligee smelled of man sweat," says Kristin. "I didn’t want to address the signs that Fred was unhappy because I didn’t want to see them. I wanted – I needed – Fred to be Fred."

"Fred said he couldn’t pretend any more. He didn’t know what was happening or what it meant for us, but the fact he was coming to me now meant he’d reached a point of no return," Kristin says.

Kristin’s  says her world changed forever during the phone call. She told Fred she loved him and they’d figure it out, but her heart raced in her chest and she couldn’t find the words to tell to her mother what had just happened.

She recalls: "There was no part of the man I married I could see wearing women’s clothes. It would mean that I didn’t know him, that he was as mysterious to me as a stranger on the street. Everything I thought I knew about Fred was wrong. Everything I had told myself about our happy little life was a lie. I tried imagining myself as someone who could support her husband wearing skirts and heels. But I shuddered at the thought of broad-chested and bearded Fred dressed as a woman."

Kristin made an excuse to finish her trip early, rushing home to talk to Fred in person. Once the boys were tucked up in bed, Fred confessed that while the family had been away, he’d worn a skirt every day. As it swished around his ankles he had an epiphany: he was meant to be a woman. Everything felt crazy to Kristin.

At first, they agreed to keep Fred’s desires a secret.

"I wish I could say I supported Fred from the beginning, but it wasn’t that simple. I felt terrified and alone. I wanted to keep our picture-perfect family intact, even if in reality it was crumbling and my husband was disappearing," Kristin says.

"I had always trusted Fred and now it felt like everything I thought we had was false. It seemed like my husband was doing something horribly cruel to our family and I couldn’t understand why. I worried that I’d have no place in Fred’s new world. He told me he was sorry and it was all so scary, but the woman inside him had been locked away for too long and if he didn’t set her free, Fred would die. He was suicidal as a man."

Gradually, Fred became more soft and feminine. He started watching Kristin apply mascara and asked questions about how to put it on. It infuriated Kristin, who felt like she was encouraging his fantasy.

"I liked being the woman in our marriage. I didn’t want Fred to become one. But Fred simply said he was not a man and had no choice any more," Kristin says.

In July 2006, Fred told Kristin that he had tried being a man. He’d tried being a soldier, a firefighter, a fisherman, a husband and a father, but he had not yet tried to be himself. Kristin realised she had to support him because she still loved and cared about him.

"I asked him if he’d risk losing us and he said he hoped it wouldn’t come to that, but it was clear that our marriage could not stand in the way of Fred’s journey and I loved him enough to respect what he needed to do," Kristin says. "Even though it broke my heart."

Desperate and unsure what to do, Kristin trawled the internet in search of support. She stumbled upon a support group called TransFamily Spouses, and it was there she learnt just how far her husband would have to go on his journey to become a woman. A psychologist would be needed, then hormone therapy, electrolysis and finally gender confirmation surgery. Kristin was even more confused but knew she did not have a choice.

Fred was diagnosed with gender dysphoria in August 2006, and his counsellor felt that a full transition would be best for his mental and emotional health. Fred and Kristin still loved each other, still wanted to live together and raise the children together, but Fred was changing into someone he called Seda. They agreed to continue staying together until it made sense not to, Kristin says.

Surprisingly, Kristin found herself warming to the woman her husband had became. Fred and Seda shared many attributes that Kristin had first fallen in love with, such as perseverance, a laid-back attitude, humour and kindness.

"But Seda was different," Kristin explains.

"Where Fred didn’t have any friends, Seda had lots. Fred cycled through depressive episodes a few times a year, whereas Seda was never depressed. She was more confident and self-assured than Fred ever was. He always said he was happy with me but not with himself or his life. Seda was thrilled with all of it,"Kristin says.

When Trin was six and Sam was four they told them about Fred's transition. Their father explained that he’d never felt comfortable in his body. The boys decided to call him Maddy instead of Daddy, and Seda assured her sons that nothing about her love for them would ever change.

"I took the boys shopping for wigs and bras for Seda. They were so young and so accepting, it felt right to include them," Kristin says. "The first time we left the house together as two women, I applied Seda’s make-up. She affixed the wig and slipped silicone cutlets into her new bra. Our children watched with wonder as their father transformed. She looked like she could be Fred’s sister."

But while Kristin enjoyed Seda’s company, their sex life dwindled. Seda moved into the living room, Kristin kept the bedroom. In 2009, they built an extension so Seda could have her own space.

"My husband effectively died and took our marriage with him," says Kristin. "In his place is my best friend, someone I respect and adore so much, I can’t live without her."

When Kristin eventually found the courage to tell friends and family, they could see how much happier Seda was than Fred. And while Kristin had been terrified to tell anyone, she was surprised by how supportive people were.

Even Kristin’s mum was a fan of Seda, saying: "I’m sorry you lost your marriage over it, but I think your husband is a much better person when she’s herself."

In July 2013, Seda had gender confirmation surgery. Kristin drove her to California for the procedure.

"We had such a fun road trip, music blaring while we talked and laughed," Kristin says. "We’d come so far in the eight years since Fred admitted he needed to wear women’s clothes, I was proud to be by Seda’s side as she took this huge step towards completing her journey."

A year later, Kristin met Richard Bartlett, now 50, online. Richard worried that he might be uncomfortable when he met Seda, but within minutes of meeting, they were laughing and messing around. Richard moved in with the family in 2015 and, although it is an unconventional home, it works.

Seda, Richard and Kristin go for brunch at weekends when the kids are busy with their friends. Richard and Seda go to gigs together as they both love rock music. Richard is a professional chef and cooks for the family most nights.

"We celebrate Richard on Father’s Day, and he leads the boys in preparing brunch for Seda and me on Mother’s Day. Seda made the man I married happy and I am forever grateful to her for that. It wasn’t just Fred who transitioned," she says, "our entire family changed. Seda taught us to accept the people we love for who they really are, even if they don’t fit in with what we had planned. I lost a husband, but I gained so much more."

Kristin has written a book about her experience titled Housewife: Home-Remaking in a Transgender Marriage. It is available on Amazon in Paperback and in all major book shops.

Zimbabwe is the most developed country in Africa' - President Mugabe boasts

Despite its crumbling economy, Zimbabwe, a country which has been ranked among the world's worst-performing countries, has been rated  'the most highly developed country in Africa' by it's President Robert Mugabe.

The controversial leader made the declaration during the World Economic Forum on Africa which took place Thursday in Durban, South Africa.

When asked to comment on the global belief about Zimbabwe being the perfect example of a failed nation. Responding to the statement, Mugabe declared that his country is the most highly developed country in Africa.

'That is not true!' He started, adding that 'Zimbabwe is the most highly developed country in Africa. After South Africa, I want to see another country as highly developed.

To justify his declaration, he said:  'We have a bumper harvest,' he continued, 'not only maize but also tobacco and many other crops. We are not a poor country. If anyone wants to call us fragile, they can. You can also call America fragile,'

Mercy Aigbe Has Mental Problem; I Caught Her Severally With Men" - Larry Gentry

BON EXCLUSIVE: Mercy is Mentally Unstable…Husband Speaks

Larry Gentry, the businessman husband of actress, Mercy Aigbe, has sensationally revealed that his wife and mother of his son, is mentally unstable. In a chat with BONONLINE, Wednesday morning, Larry said, “Mercy has mental issues and i am the one who knows how many places we’ve been to so she can remain stable. I have papers to prove these.”

Larry, who has come under several attacks for allegedly beating the popular actress, disclosed that contrary to the news that made the rounds, it was Mercy that ganged up with her friends in her designer, Luminee House, to attack him. He claimed that while the others beat him, his wife hit him hard with a stool.

Invoking biblical curses on himself, the auto merchant sweared that he has never beaten Mercy in their seven years of marriage despite the fact that he has caught her several times frollicking and fornicating with different men.

He gave an example of last year when she said that she was going to China for two weeks but instead, spent the whole time in a Dubai hotel with a man. To lend credence to this claim, Larry showed us different whatsapp conversations to buttress this allegation and a particular one where Mercy was asking a third party to get some dollars from the man for her.

“When I challenged my wife, she said she only wanted to collect money from him – a married woman!!! But i discovered that it was the same man that paid for the Magodo house she just moved to, which i also found out had been rented over a month ago.”

Continuing, Larry said, “See, i understand Mercy’s antics too well. All she wants is to move out of my house and be free to live the life of a single woman. What i have tolerated from her all these years, no man can tolerate from any woman.” He said further that as a husband, “I worship mercy and I have deposited N8m at Benefit Motors to buy her a N16m Range Rover ENVOGUE for her 40th birthday. I have also paid N1.2m for a hall opposite Sheraton Hotel to celebrate her big but she has her eyes on other things.”

Asked why he has not consulted her family to intervene, he says Mercy has no regard for her parents, citing an example of last year when her dad collapsed while on the queue to get his pension and was rushed to the hosipital. When the actress was informed, Larry said she lied that she was in Calabar and till now, had not gone to see the old man. He claimed that he was the one that went there and spent about N180,000, adding that because she refused to take care of her mom, he put the old woman on a salary of N25, 000 per month.

Attempts to reach Mercy were unsuccesfull as at the time of posting this story.

Photos Of The University Of Ibadan Student Who Jumped To Her Death

The Oyo State Police Command has commenced investigation into the death of Miss Deborah Effiong, a 100-level Law student at the University of Ibadan.

The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Mr Abiodun Odude, made this known in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Ibadan.

Odude said police investigation into the incident followed the report by the university’s authority.

He gave an assurance that the outcome of the investigation would be made public as soon as it was completed.

The University of Ibadan had on Wednesday issued a statement through its Director of Public Communication, Mr Olatunji Oladejo, announcing the death of Effiong.

Oladejo expressed the regret of the university management over the sudden death of the student at the University College Hospital, Ibadan.

“Her sudden death, however, remains a mystery and it is in the light of this that the university management wishes to state that the cause(s) of her death are still being investigated by the appropriate authorities.

“Her parents had been duly contacted by the relevant key officers of the university on the loss.

“It is pertinent to state that by the tradition of the Queen Elizabeth II Hall where she was a resident, an event tagged “Freshers/Finalists’ Week’’ was organised by the Hall’s Executive Committee.

“The first day being Monday, 01 May, 2017 featured ‘’Health Day’’ in the morning and “Movie Show’’ at 7.00pm.

“Her colleagues reported that the deceased was seen at the Hall Cafeteria, the venue of the Movie Show and it was reported that her “normal self’’ was seen at about 8.40 pm.

“Thereafter, she received a telephone call from a fellow; she left the venue of the movie show to meet the caller.

“The fellow had been identified after her death by the Campus Security Service,’’ Oladejo said.

He further explained that on getting back to the venue of the movie show, her colleagues stated that she suddenly became hyperactive and developed a strange attitude.

Oladejo added that her colleagues said Effiong danced abnormally and excessively in the cafeteria after the meeting.

“It was further revealed that she left the venue of the movie show and, thereafter, there was a bang, which her colleagues explained, she jumped from a dangerous position in the Hall.

“She was later found by her colleagues in a seemingly helpless condition in the precinct of the Hall and immediately, she was rushed to the university’s health centre by her colleagues and porters on duty.

“She was later referred to the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, for further medical attention where all efforts to save her life proved abortive,’’ Oladejo said.

Effiong was said to have died overnight at the tertiary health institution.

Barack Obama proposed to another woman, Sheila Jager, who rejected him twice before he met and married Michelle

According to a new biography, former US president Barack Obama proposed to a woman he dated in the 80's who rejected his proposal twice before he met and married his wife, Michelle Obama. The woman is said to be Sheila Miyoshi Jager who is of Dutch and Japanese descent.

The author of the new book, "Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama," David Garrow, says Obama met Jager in the mid-'80s when he was doing community organizing in Chicago.

Garrow said that when he interviewed Jager, she told him that even back then, Obama had a strong belief he'd someday become President of the United States.

She also told the author Obama had "a deep-seated need to be loved and admired." Adding that in  1986 Obama asked her to marry him, but her parents were opposed because they thought she was too young to get married, so she turned him down, but they continued dating.

Then, Garrow says, Obama's presidential ambitions became a centerpiece of their relationship, which caused a conflict between them because he worried that marrying a non-African-American wife would do him political damage.

Garrow says he "felt trapped between the woman he loved and the destiny he knew was his."

Obama then went to Harvard Law School in 1988 and the relationship became strained but Jager says Obama again asked her to marry him before he left, but she was off on a research trip to Seoul and rejected his proposal, for the second time.

Obama then met and started dating Michelle after their first year in law school but, according to Garrow, he was still occasionally seeing Jager. But when he solidified his relationship with Michelle, he stopped seeing Jager.

Jager, is now a professor of East Asian Studies at Oberlin College.

5 year old girl and her 9 year old husband-to-be, rescued as they were almost being married off to each other

A five year old little girl who was being married off to her nine-year-old 'husband' was rescued by welfare officials, as they stood at the altar to get married to each other, while their parents looked on.. The wedding ceremony which was taking place in Mambapur, Telangana state, central India, was fortunately stopped by India's Child Welfare Department officials, who carried the crying 5 year old child away from the venue and into protective custody.

The wedding was said to be a part of a reported caste ritual.

Children's rights activist Achyuta Rao from charity Balala Hakkula Sangham said the parents were conducting the marriage because someone had died recently in the household.

He said:

"As per their custom, no relative will enter their house after the death of a family member, unless they perform an 'auspicious event' and celebrate it."

Police reportedly counselled the parents of both children after the wedding was disrupted.

There will be plane crashes, fire incidents, multiple road accidents, cancer and more following my son's wedding, Obasanjo's wife warns

The wife of the former president, Olusegun OBasanjo, Mrs Taiwo Obasanjo has claimed there will be serious consequences if the marriage proposed between her son, and the daughter of the owner of Premier Lotto, Kessington Adebutu holds.

In a letter sent to the Methodist Church of Nigeria, Mrs Taiwo Obasanjo claimed that if the wedding which has been fixed for May 11 and 13 holds, it will lead to plane crashes, fire incidents, multiple road accidents, tankers and trailer killing people, cancers, diseases of kidney, liver, prostrate, eyes issues and more.

According to her,

"The two dates were chosen and compelled by Satan for them to lure unsuspecting numerous souls to a banquet of death, that will result in strange holocaust in our nation. After the wedding, you will be hearing and seeing incidents of plane crashes, fire incidents, multiple road accidents, tankers and trailer killing people, cancers, diseases of kidney, liver, prostrate, eyes issues and diverse health problem causing strange death in people and the economy situation will worsen.”

She revealed that she is not against the wedding but only want the date to be shifted until after her son;s birthday.

"I am not against the wedding, all I am relentlessly pleading is for a shift in the date and they turned against me, even on the 11th and 13th of May they are planning to assassinate me or keep me in police custody from 10th – 14th May 2017, when they would have completed the devilish wedding ceremony. Sir, is this a wedding ceremony or a clever, premeditated, devilishly calculated scheme to sacrifice thousands of souls as they come to the feast of death, ostensibly announced as wedding ceremony? I am alive and healthy and I am not mad, God used me to convince my son to change his mind to marry this lady called Tope Adebutu, now they want to kill me by all means possible.”

Mrs. Taiwo Obasanjo also said she would stage a peaceful, public protest on the days of the wedding, and had already informed the police.

“This protest is to bring out people to praise the Almighty God very loud with songs and drummers to sing and dance like King David, as they hold the demonic ceremony. We will not insult or abuse anyone. Please, I want the whole world to know that I am not mad and I am not against my son’s wedding but the whole truth will be revealed by the Almighty God who sees in secret all that is hidden, for the power of the Almighty God is supreme. Reminder will be sent out to let people know that as many as are free, can join me in praising the Almighty God publicly when then wedding day draws near.”
Mrs. Obasanjo’s letter comes weeks after her suit at the Ikeja Division of the Lagos High Court was dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.

Adesua Etomi's Birthday Post For Banky W That Left Us All Clueless

Actress Adesua Etomi and singer Banky W really did their best in keeping their relationship off the public and they won!.

So, I just went back to revisit the birthday post she made for him on the 27th of March, and I just realized that no clue was given! She just sent it like a normal birthday post even though they were already engaged.

The first underlined words got me wondering if that was the first words Banky W used when he slid into her DM. Remember she said;

"He slid into my DM and sent the funniest message and that was how we became friends. " and he said;

"Now I personally don't like being "hooked up", so I decided to approach you myself by sliding into your DM a few days later. Introduced myself, made some silly attempts to make you laugh".
