How some Ladies are destroying their Marriage without knowing

If you are one of those ladies who no longer respect people who are older than you because of the things you see in social media then you can't be my friend; I will keep you at bay. Respect for ones elders is one of the cardinal principles I learn from my parents and I live by that. Many marriages are failing today because women want to be equal with men blindly, hence there is no peace on many homes.

Read this interesting eye-opener from a married woman...

When I got married, I was amazed at the instant, overwhelming sense of responsibility I felt to love and care for my husband. Suddenly, a huge part of someone else’s well-being and happiness was largely affected by my choices and actions.

Women, we need to be careful about how we are caring for our husbands and marriages. Don’t let the small stuff ruin the things that will bring you the greatest happiness in life.

Here are just a few ways you might be unknowingly destroying your husband and killing your marriage.

1. Living outside of what you can afford
A wise old woman from my church congregation once advised: “The best thing you can do as a wife is to live within your husband’s means.”

Wives, show sincere appreciation and respect to your husband by carefully following a budget and making the most of what you have. Be wise about your finances.

Constantly complaining about not having enough to fulfill your lavish desires or racking up astronomical amounts of debt for yourself and your husband is a poor way of saying “thank you” to a faithful spouse who works hard every day to provide for the family.

Yes, you may not have enough to buy that deigner shoes or bag you’ve had your eyes on recently, but your husband will love and appreciate the fact that you honor him and are grateful for what he provides.

2. Constant negativity
You hate your hair, the messes around the house, the neighbor across the street, your dumb co-worker, the old dishwasher, and everything in between. As soon as your husband walks through the door, you launch into action and dump every negative and angry thought that’s crossed your mind.

Can you imagine having to carry that burden? Negativity is draining. Men like to fix things, and constantly being hounded with complaints makes it difficult for him to help solve your pains.

If there is one thing I’ve learned from marriage is that a good man wants you to be happy, and if he can’t help you do that, it makes him unhappy.

3. Putting everything else first
When your children, mom, best friends, talents, or career in front of your husband, you send a clear message to him that he is unimportant. Imagine having that message sent to you every day for many years. What would that do to your self esteem?

Put your husband first! Although it sometimes seems counter-intuitive and counterproductive, I think you’d be amazed to find that it’s often the key to the greatest happiness in marriage. So many couples get divorced these days, because of neglect and to a large extent disrespect.

If you choose to put him first, you will find a lot of joy.

4. Withholding physical affection
Men crave and need physical affection with their wives. When you constantly decline intimacy, it wears on them. Sex should not be used as a tool to control your spouse; it should be viewed as a sacred tool to draw you closer to one another and to God.

It is a great blessing to be wanted and needed by a loving, romantic husband who wants to share something so beautiful and important with you — and you only. Even though you might not always be in the mood, it’s worth it to give in (unless you are sick) and spend that time bonding.

5. Not speaking his language
Don’t waste your time giving subtle hints that he won’t understand: Speak plainly to him. Be honest about your feelings, and don’t bottle things up until you burst. If he asks you what’s wrong, don’t respond with “nothing” and then expect him to read your mind. Be ope

» MTN Finally Acquires Visafone «

MTN, Africa’s leading mobile phone operator, has finally sealed the deal to acquire Visafone, the only surviving Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) operator in Nigeria, owned by the banking magnate, Mr. Jim Ovia.

The acquisition of Visafone, the only surviving CDMA operator in Nigeria, by MTN, a GSM operator, marks the final death of CDMA operations in Africa’s largest economy.

Though, MTN is yet to make official announcement of the acquisition, but inside sources confirmed the development to Daily Trust reporter.

Contrary to the initial report about the deal that MTN is not taking along the purchase of the CDMA company with its liabilities, sources said the telecoms giant has acquired the staggering Visafone with all its properties, including its spectrum and liabilities.

» Crude Oil Price Plunges Further, Now Sells Below $35 «

Brent oil prices tumbled Wednesday underneath $35 for the first time in 11 years, plagued by abundant oversupply and amid the ongoing row between key producers Iran and Saudi Arabia.

The AFP reported that at about 10:30 GMT, European benchmark Brent North Sea crude oil for February delivery sank to $34.83 per barrel, the lowest level since July 1, 2004.

This comes amid calls for the Federal Government to reduce the crude oil benchmark price of $38 per barrel contained in the 2016 to 2018 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper sent to the National Assembly for next year’s budget.

On December 14, the Lagos Chamber of Commerce called for a reduction in the benchmark, warning that the draft budget benchmark for crude oil looks very fragile given the continued and projected boost of supply side of oil in the international market and its potential impact on price.

Two weeks later, the Trade Union Congress also called for a reduction of the benchmark price.

The Chairman, TUC Rivers State, Mr. Chika Onuegbu, who conveyed the union’s “serious concerns about the budget proposal,” said the budget was “laudable and ambitious, but seems unachievable.”

The call by the TUC followed the projection by the International Monetary Fund that the price of crude oil could fall to as low as $20 per barrel this year.

Onuegbu, who noted that the basket oil price of the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries stood at $32.14 per barrel as of December 24, 2015, said, “Anyone who is a keen observer of the events that are shaping the crude oil price will recognise that we are in for a sustained low crude oil price regime.

“Accordingly, it is doubtful if the budgeted oil revenue of N820bn will be realised in 2016. If the budgeted oil revenue is not realised, this will negatively impact on the 2016 budget performance.

“It is, therefore, important that the government begins to make contingency arrangements should the crude oil price fall below the benchmark price or better still, review the benchmark oil price downwards.”

Crude oil revenue accounts for about 90 per cent of Nigeria’s foreign exchange earnings and although the Federal Government has said it is targeting much higher non-oil revenue this year, there are doubts about its ability to seriously achieve the goal.

The TUC, which noted that the government planned to raise N1.5tn from independent sources to fund the proposed N6tn 2016 budget, said, “The Federal Government’s revenue projections for oil revenue, non-oil revenue (non-oil taxes) and independent revenue sources are very ambitious.

“They come with the risk that they may most likely be unachievable. If they become unachievable, then the planned expenditure, especially the planned N1.8tn capital expenditure, will become a mirage.”

» Popular Islamic Scholar In Kano Sentenced To Death By Hanging «

An Upper Shari’ah Court in Kano yesterday sentenced an Islamic scholar, Abdulaziz Dauda, popularly known as Abdul Inyass, to death for blasphemous statements against the holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Inyass is to die by hanging according to the presiding judge, Alkali Muhammad Atiku.
“This court has sentenced you, Abdulaziz Dauda also known as Abdul Inyass, to death by hanging for blasphemous statements against Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and three years jail term for inciting public disturbance,” he said.
The judge however said Inyass had 30 days to appeal the judgment.
Inyass was sued on a two-count charge of blasphemy against the holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and inciting public disturbance contrary to Section 275 of Kano State Shari’ah Penal Code Law 2000.
The 30-yr old cleric was sued by the state government after delivering a lecture in the state which caused a riot that led to the burning of a court at Rijar-Lemo quarters.
According to the charge sheet, Inyass had while delivering the lecture on May 13, 2015 made blasphemous statements against the holy prophet
The state prosecution counsel, Barrister Lamido Abba Soron-Dinki, told Daily Trust shortly after the judgment that the convict had pleaded guilty to the charges levelled against him in one of his appearances before the court.
Barrister Soron-Dinki expressed satisfaction with the judgment and vowed to continue with the case if the convict decides to challenge the verdict at the appeal court.
The judgment was delivered amid tight security as heavily armed DSS operatives were deployed to the court.
Shortly after the judgment, the convicted cleric was flown to Abuja by DSS officials.

» "We Will Arrest More Influential Nigerians In The Coming Weeks" — EFCC Chairman «

We'll arrest more influential Nigerians soon - EFCC chair

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu, has said more influential Nigerians would soon be arrested to face prosecution as the EFCC under him has reinvigorated the fight against corruption in Nigeria.

Mr. Magu, who made the disclosure on Wednesday in Abuja at a forum with online and broadcast media managers, said since his appointment as acting chairman of the EFCC, he had undertaken the re-ordering of the agency’s priorities for effective implementation of its mandate.

“The effect of this, which is obvious for all to see, is the investigation, arrest and prosecution of some of the most powerful forces in Nigeria, who have questions to answer on their stewardship whilst in office.

“A former National Security Adviser, former ministers, former governors, serving and retired military men, a media mogul and several others, are among those we have called to answer critical questions concerning the management of our commonwealth.

“As we speak, many more influential Nigerians are on the radar of the EFCC and, in the coming weeks, they would have their days in court and Nigerians will be kept fully abreast of the results of our investigations,” Mr. Magu said.

The EFCC boss said in carrying out the mandate of the commission, he has been guided by the “fear of God, national interest and the rule of law”.

Mr. Magu said apart from bringing corrupt public officers to justice, the EFCC under his leadership is determined, in line with the stance of the current administration under President Muhammadu Buhari to send “unmistakable message” to everyone, that no Nigerian shall be regarded as above the law or treated as sacred cow as far as the fight against corruption is concerned.

The EFCC chairman, however, said the commission cannot succeed in carrying out its mandate without the support of the media.

He said the EFCC already has the support of all relevant bodies and organizations.

He said he held a meeting with the president on Wednesday, and that the message from Mr. Buhari was nothing but total support for the agency.

“By far more inspirational is the political will of Mr. President to fight corruption. This unbending will, which some now call body language has given the needed traction to the anti-graft campaign,” he said.

Mr. Magu said Mr. Buhari’s resolve to fight corruption in Nigeria was underlined by his comments during his maiden media chat last Wednesday where he swore not to spare anyone found to be corrupt.

Mr. Magu quoted the president as saying,  “I don’t …tolerate corruption. When I was Head of State, I didn’t put anybody above the law. At this time, I assure you, I will not put anybody above the law… If anyone is caught, I will not only sack (him or her) but will ensure that the case is taken to court”.

He added that the president’s resolve is complemented by that of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mahmud Mohammed, who, during the last All Nigerian Judges’ Conference, declared unwavering support for the war on corruption.

He added that at that same judges conference, Mr. Buhari expressed the concern of the Nigerian people for the undue delays experienced in the trial of corruption suspects.

The judiciary, he said, has responded with some practical steps in the form of the designation of selected courts to try EFCC cases and some practice directions.

“We believe that when holistically and effectively put into practice, the measures would drastically cut the time corruption cases spend in court before Nigerians know whether the accused is guilty as charged or innocent of the crime.

“As a Commission, the EFCC is very determined to put into productive effect, the provisions of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, (ACJA), 2015.  This law, which has been rightly labeled a legal “revolution”, by none other than Professor Itse Sagay, chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee on Anti-corruption, could n

» Federal High Court Denies Granting Dasuki, Others N250m Bail «

In a swift rebuttal on Wednesday, authorities of the Federal High Court of Nigeria (FHCN), dissociated the court from media reports it granted bail to the tune of N250 million to the embattled immediate-past National Security Adviser (NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuki (reted) and others being tried in relation to the $2.1 billion arms deal scandal.

Acting Chief Registrar of the FHCN, Emmanuel Garko, stated that authorities of the Court could not have granted bail to any of those being tried in relation to the arms deal because none of them was charged before the court.

In a statement issued by Garko, he said the clarification became imperative in view of misrepresentation in the media that the Federal High Court granted bail to Dasuki and others at N250million each.

He said: “It will be in the interest of the reporters and editors (the media) to note that these cases involving the accused persons are not all before the Federal High Court of Nigeria as reported by some national dailies, but before Justice Hussein Baba Yusuf and Justice Peter Affen of the High Court of the FCT.”

Explaining that the Federal High Court of Nigeria is different from the High Court of FCT, which has their respective jurisdiction, Garko however, urged the media to be cautious in their operations and always endeavour to cross check facts before publication.

However, recall that Dasuki and others were only granted bail on two occasions on December 18 and 21 last year at N250million by Justices Hussein Baba-Yusuf and Peter Affen of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Dasuki is currently involved in three criminal cases pending before the Federal High Court, Abuja and the High Court of the Federal Capital territory (FCT), Maitama, Abuja.

Dasuki is being tried alone on a five-count charge of money laundering involving about N84.6m and illegal possession of firearms before Justice Adeniyi Ademola of the Federal High Court, Abuja.

The second case involving Dasuki is that in which he is being tried with an ex-Director of Finance and Administration in the office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu and former Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Aminu Baba-Kusa in a 19 count-charge bordering on criminal diversion of funds.

Dasuki, Salisu, Baba-Kusa and two companies – Acacia Holdings Limited and Reliance Referral Hospital Limited were charged with conspiracy and criminal breach of trust under the Penal Code Act and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (Establishment) Act.

The trial judge, Justice baba-Yusuf admitted each of them to bail in a ruling on December 18 at N250m with one surety and adjourned toJanuary 21 for commencement of trial.

In the third case, Dasuki is being tried with former Minister of State for Finance, Bashir Yuguda, former Sokoto State governor, Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa, his son and firm – Sagir Attahiru and Dalhatu Investment Limited – and former Director of Finance and Administration in the office of the NSA, Shuaibu Salisu in a 22-count charge of alleged diversion of over 20billion.

Justice Affen, on December 21 last year, granted bail to each of them at N250m with two sureties and fixed February 2 for commencement of trial.

Re: Federal High Court Denies Granting Dasuki, Others N250m Bail by alcmene: 7:02pm On Jan 06
The question is: did any court of competent jurisdiction at any point grant Dasuki and others bail

I understand where this man is coming from.....he doesn't want to be seen as if Buhari disregarded the ruling of the federal high court

whether federal high court, magistrate or customary court, COURT ORDERS MUST NOT BE DISOBEYED WITH WHATEVER EXCUSE

Pastor Faints After Losing Massively In Anambra Community Election

Tradegy was averted on Tuesday after a popular pastor slumped and became unconscious after he lost an election in his community.

Pastor Pius Chigbo had allegedly spent huge sums of money during the campaign for his community election in Umuchu town, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, southeast Nigeria.

Chigbo, who presides over Covenant Church of Yaweh in Umuchu, suffered the fate after the people voted massively against him, to the extent that he did not get a single vote because of the allegation that he shared money to the people to win the election.

In reaction, the youths in the area mobilized and threatened to cause trouble if Chigbo was elected.

During the election, he discovered that no single person including those who allegedly collected money from him voted for him.

Shocked by the development, he walked out of the hall and on his way back home, slumped and became unconscious.

It took the intervention of some people who rushed him to a nearby hospital where he was revived.

Chigbo had presented himself as one of the contestants for the position of the president general of the community.

Trouble started when the youths threatened to disrupt both election and activities in the community if the people voted for him.

Chigbo contested against two other opponents identified as Raph Njirika and Osita Elemuo.

It was alleged that Chigbo campaigned vigorously and shared money to people to voted for him.

The youths of the community under the leadership of Nzube Ogbuefi protested the alleged huge sums of money he was spending on the election and said he may get the money back by imposing levies on the people if he won the election.

The youths were later persuaded to wait for the outcome of the election and when the result was announced, Chigbo totally lost.

When our correspondent went to his church in Umuchu, some of his members confirmed that Chigbo was not all right and could not be seen.

» "Anenih Lied, I Didn’t Receive Up To N63m From Him" - Yakassai «

A former Presidential Liaison Officer to ex-President Shehu Sagari, Alhaji Tanko Yakassai, has denied receiving N63million from Chief Tony Anenih as the latter alleged in a letter to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Yakassai said this in a telephone interview with our Correspondent on Wednesday. The elder statesman was reacting to news reports that he collected the said sum from Chief Tony Anenih.
He explained that while it was true that he received an amount of money from the former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Board of Trustees, for an assignment, the money was not up to the amount quoted.

Pressed to say how much he received, Yakassai said he was not at liberty to say because the matter is in court and that it is when they both go to court that each party will tender evidence to back up his claim.

Yakassai said, “The amount being bandied about is not what was given to me. It is true Chief Anenih gave the committee of eminent persons which I headed some funds for our assignment, the money being quoted is not what we received.

“The committee of nine persons which I led was given an assignment to reach out to traditional rulers on the need for them to ensure peaceful elections in their domains because there was tension in prior to the 2015 general elections.

“We went round 18 states and Abuja where we met two in each of the states we visited, we started with the Sultan of Sokoto, we could not meet with traditional rulers in Gombe because on the day of our visit, Boko Haram attacked the town and there were reports that they were targeting the Government House where we were at that time.”

Asked whether the committee gave money to any of the traditional rulers, Yakasai said, “No. We were not given any money to give any of them and we did not give them any money.

“The money the committee received was for logistics such as transport and accommodation. We wrote a report after our assignment which started on January 14 and ended on February 15, 2015, the records are there.”

The elder statesman said he was prepared to defend the activities of the committee when required to do so because the committee performed its assignment creditably and transparently.

“Don’t Turn Davido To An ATM, Get A Job” – Dr. Ola Balogun

Nigerian movie maker and musician, Dr. Ola Balogun, has waded into Davido and his baby mama saga.

Davido and his baby mama, Sophia Momodu.

The veteran film maker, via a letter to the Nation, addressing Davido’s baby mama saga, expressed disappointment, and condemned in totality, the role played by Ovation magazine boss, Dele Momodu

Dele Momodu.

He also charged Sophia Momodu to get a job to support her lifestyle, and not turn Davido into an Automated Teller Machine, ATM.

The letter reads in part, “I was heartbroken to read about what young Mr. Adeleke has been going through at the hands of Mr. and Mrs. Dele Momodu and their neice (or cousin?).

“If Davido’s account is true, the activities of the Momodus deserve to be roundly condemned by all right-thinking Nigerians.

“Shouldn’t the baby’s interests be paramount? As for the mother of the baby, she should be thoroughly ashamed of herself for having inflicted so much pain and suffering on her child as a result of her alleged drug habits.

“If I understand rightly, the young lady is able-bodied. Why doesn’t she go and seek gainful employment somewhere, instead of partying all over the place and expecting the father of her child to pick up extravagant bills?

“Why must she consider Davido a personal ATM that is there to cough up money on demand at each instant? It is really too bad!”.

“In conclusion, one must congratulate Davido for the deep maturity, sense of responsibility, decency, forbearance and manliness he has displayed all through this terrible ordeal.”

“Unknown to him, he has proved himself to be more than old enough and mature enough to be equal to the task of being a father.”

“I hope and pray for Imade’s good health and future happiness and well-being,” the first generation film maker wrote.

Husband and wife sell son 5 month old son for N400,000

The Lagos State Police Command arrested 28-year-old Okwuchukwu Ibekwe, who lived in Iyana Iba area of Lagos, for allegedly selling his five-month-old son to a child trafficker in Anambra State for N400,000. He said he sold his son because he was having difficulties in his trade and allegedly decided with his wife to sell him.

According to PUNCH Metro the Ibekwes sold their son to one Chinelo, who stayed in Ihiala, Anambra State and is still on the run, on December 17, 2015.

It was learnt that Chinelo gave the infant's Dad N250,000 while the mother of the baby's mum was supposed to get N150,000.

However, when Mr. Ibekwe returned from Anambra state, he refused to give the wife her share, so she reported the matter to the police and fled the house after making the report.

Okwuchukwu was subsequently arrested and detained at the Police Gender Unit, Ikeja, while police operatives also arrested Chinelo’s husband in Anambra State. The baby and Chinelo are yet to be found.

While being paraded on Wednesday, Okwuchukwu said he collected N400,000 from Chinelo in exchange for his son with his wife's consent.
He said:
“Chinelo was to give me N400,000 for the baby. My wife was the one who suggested that we dispose of the baby to meet our business needs.
“But Chinelo gave me N250,000 for the baby when I went to deliver him to her in Anambra State.
“When I returned, my wife and I quarrelled and she ran away for three days. I did not know that she went to report the matter to the police. She was concerned with her own share of N150,000.
“I sell vehicle spare parts in Ladipo market. “It was a lawyer who called me that my wife had reported me to the police, and that I should come and see her. When I went there, I was arrested.
“I do not know the whereabouts of my son. I did not know Chinelo would run away with my child.”
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, who paraded the suspect, said the case was undergoing intense investigation and efforts to recover the baby and arrest Chinelo.

» 19-Year-Old Girl Commits Suicide In Ebonyi, As Boyfriend Rejects Pregnancy «

A 19-year-old lady, identified simply as Chiamaka, at the
weekend committed suicide for being pregnant. Chiamaka
took her life in her residence at No. 17 Nwike Street,
Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. The lady, who hailed from
Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state, was said to
have hanged herself after her parents told her that they
could not buy her what she had demanded for the Yuletide
because they discovered she was pregnant.
A source close to the family said Chiamaka had, after
discovering that she was pregnant, informed her boyfriend
responsible for the pregnancy and who also lives in the
same building but the boy denied being responsible for the
pregnancy.
“Chiamaka was not happy that her boyfriend denied her in
her trying moment because her parents threatened to
sanction her for being pregnant. “The parents were very
angry about it because we, the neighbours, always hear
when they quarrelled with her because of the pregnancy
and she thought the best thing to do was to go to her
boyfriend, at least to have a rest of mind.
“But she was disappointed that the boy denied her and I
think this might be the reason why she hanged herself,” the
source added. When our correspondent visited the house,
most of the residents had fled the building for fear of arrest
while residents of the street were discussing the incident
in groups. When contacted, the state Police Public
Relations Officer (PPRO), Assistant Superintendent of
Police (ASP) George Okafor, said he was yet to receive
official report on the matter.

the players in this sector are allowing the devil in their life

will leave the two state in a states of blood flow, as the
devil is planning to use some of its agents in these state

together as one body, they might survive ,but if not, I saw a
change.

governance shortly after the inauguration of the elected

» ''4 Ways To Keep Social Media From Ruining Your Relationship'' «

“SOCIAL MEDIA HAS RUINED MY RELATIONSHIP!”
That’s the cry of many people today! But my response is
this: social media didn’t ruin your relationship he, she, or
BOTH of you may have played a part in the ruining of your
relationship.
Let’s back up and come to an agreement: social media is
here and it probably isn’t going anywhere. So, we have to
address this issue head on. It is definitely possible for your
relationship and (insert social media type here!) to happily
co-exist. Here are 4 ways to keep social media from
ruining your relationship:
1) Stop Being “Single” Online but “In a Relationship” in
Real Life:
Let’s be honest. For many people, social media is another
form of online dating. With that said, people need to know
very clearly that you are involved with someone. I get the
whole argument, “people don’t need to be in my business.”
But, guess what? You made it peoples’ business when you
decided to get that account and create a username.
People might not need to know the ins and outs of your
relationship. But they should at LEAST know you are
married or in a relationship so that the lines don’t get
blurred or any false messages are sent out. I can’t tell you
the amount of times I hear people complain, “ I didn’t know
they were married until it was too late.” (“Too late” usually
means feelings have developed).
Social Media and Relationships
It’s your job, as a mate, to make sure it is clear to others
that you aren’t open to anyone else and you are spoken
for.
Being transparent will hopefully hold people to a higher
standard of how they decide to communicate with you.
This won’t stop everyone from pursuing you, but you have
to care enough about your mate and your relationship to
stop certain behavior before it starts. People may message
you privately to get a feel for your willingness to be “more
than friends” with them. But, this needs to be nipped in the
bud by you, and it needs to happen immediately!
2) Don’t Believe Your Own Hype
You know, sometimes social media is a platform for people
to subliminally tell you everything you want to hear.
Between “likes,” “winks,” “pokes” and private messages,
people will woo you all day and, naturally, you’ll start to
like it. Suddenly, you may find yourself flattered because
your Facebook “friends” may be showing you the attention
that your partner hasn’t been showing you. It’s at this
point that you must CHECK yourself!
Social Media and Relationships
This means it’s time to start communicating your needs to
your partner instead of falling into the Facebook trap of
that ex from back in the day, or that person you always
had a crush on in college. You can’t glorify an Internet
relationship over your “real-life” relationship and you can’t
hold them to the same standard. So often, I see how the
“harmless flirting” online turns into lunch in-person, and
then into an affair that leads to a divorce or a break-up.
The person online has probably pulled the same trick with
their other 100 friends or followers. So, get back into
communicating with your mate.
3) Stop It with the Sneaky Stuff
I’m not saying that your mate needs to know all of your
passwords to everything. But, I am saying it will look very
suspicious and make them very uncomfortable if you are
uncomfortable with them seeing your pages or
interactions. If you are uneasy every time they come
around or if you close out of your pages when your mate
enters the room or takes a look over your shoulder, then
something isn’t right. If you are sweating bullets because
you left your page up and your spouse is the next person
on the computer, then you will look GUILTY!
Social Media and Relationships
When you are able to be completely open, your mate will
feel more comfortable about you and your relationship with
social media. This is not to say they don’t trust you, but it
is to say that everyone has some level of curiosity and
hiding things only makes for unnecessary tension and
concern. Additionally, when you are open, you think twice
about the things, whether innocent or not, that could be
misinterpreted or seen as disrespectful. It makes you
more cognizant and also you gain a level of peace in your
relationship.
4) You Must Have Some Limitations
I’ll admit it. I’ve been guilty at times of being so engulfed
in social media for my business that I forget that my wife,
at home, needs the same kind of attention. Social media
is so accessible we don’t realize the amount of time we
spend on it. Furthermore, we don’t see how much it
bothers our mates to have to compete with it.
Social Media and Relationships
Place some limitations on yourself. For instance, after a
certain time, you unplug. No electronics during dinner or
during dates. Whatever you have to do, try to do it so your
mate knows he or she is most important to you in the
time you all spend together instead of the online friends we
spend so much time keeping up with. It may take some
self-reflection and some strategic planning (especially if
you use it for business), but it will be worth it for you and
your relationship.
Remember, your mate wants nothing more than to be able
to trust you 100%, even beyond the screens of social
media and the Internet. Remember that when those cyber
friends are gone, your mate is the one who is actually
going to be there in person, where it matters most. Don’t
allow social media to ruin your relationship.

» Man Had Sex With 5-Year-Old Boy In Lagos «

That police at Alakuko Divisional Headquarters have
arrested a youth, Ganiu Amusa, 22, for allegedly raping a 5-
year-old boy in Lagos State, Southwest Nigeria.
P.M.NEWS findings revealed that the victim informed his
mother, Mrs. Adenike Ejigbo that his anus was aching him
and when his mother asked him when he started having
the pain, he said since the time Ganiu Amusa had sex with
him through the anus.
Mrs. Ejigbo immediately reported the matter at Alakuko
Police Station where the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, Mr
Ajayi Abayomi, a Superintendent of Police, ordered
investigation into the matter and Amusa was arrested.
During interrogation Amusa was alleged to have owned up
to the offence.
He was thereafter transferred to the Lagos State Criminal
Investigations Department SCID, Smith Street, Yaba, Lagos
for further investigation.
When P.M.NEWS correspondent visited the station for
further information on the issue, the DPO declined to
comment, saying the case had been transferred to SCID,
Panti Yaba.
When contacted the Lagos State Police image maker Mr.
Joe Offor, a Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP,
promised to call back but never did until the time of filing
this report.

» Real Madrids Manager, Rafael Benítez, Has Been Sacked!! «

Rafael Benitez has been sacked as manager of Real
Madrid.
The former Liverpool and Chelsea boss has endured a
tough season at the Bernabeu since taking over in June,
and while he only finds his side four points off Atletico at
the top of La Liga he has had fallouts with key players and
been criticised for a defensive style of football.
Benitez was also denied the chance for another piece of
silverware, the Copa del Rey, after an administrative gaffe
saw them expelled for fielding an ineligible player against
Cadiz.
The last straw: Valencia 2-2 Real Madrid
It leaves the Champions League as their most likely
chance of glory this season, but club president Florentino
Perez has opted for a change ahead of their round-of-16
tie with Roma next month.
An announcement is expected later on today.
Zinedine Zidane - the coach of Real Madrid's second team,
Castilla - is expected to take over.
The Frenchman is understood to privately prefer a summer
change and the chance to undertake an entire pre-season
but won't turn down the chance to manage the ten-time
European champions if, as expected, Perez offers him the
job.

» Headies Press Statement On Drama That Happened On Awards Night «

Read the official statement from Headies Awards
organization below...
We are proud of what we have achieved over the years.
The Headies stage has birthed the careers of many
artistes who are of A-list status today. We are also glad
that we have reinstated pride and prestige into the winning
of a locally organised music awards and, we have
celebrated artistic ingenuity for 10 straight years; a feat no
other group before us was able to achieve.
Every year, the screening team collate all creative
materials released in the year in review and screen for
nomination. This tedious process goes on for at least three
months before the screening team comes out with a final
list. The voting categories, such as 'Song Of The Year',
'Artist Of The Year', & 'Next-Rated' are left strictly for fans
to vote and choose the winners. We wish to say
categorically that we do not tamper with the outcome of
the voting process. The limit of our involvement in this
voting process is to advice the nominees to engage their
fans and solicit for their votes. We do not accept any
responsibility for failure on the part of the nominees or
their record label, when they fail to do this.
Unfortunately, most times, Voting, Year In Review and
Definitions Of Each Category, are generally taken for
granted by many artists. We can also attest to, and hereby
state categorically that, there is no evidence that any of
the artistes aggrieved and vocal about their displeasure to
the turnout of the award, voted in the 'Next-Rated'
category, as our voting process captures email addresses
and phone numbers.
We have ensured that the awards happened regardless of
sponsorship, and that it gets better with each passing year,
without giving excuses about challenges. We may not have
gotten everything 100% right, but integrity has been our
watch-word. The 109 Nigerian artistes that have won can
attest to the fact that they did nothing different from those
that have not. Awards by nature, are and will always
remain, controversial except every nominee gets one.
We try to ensure that winners are within reach before
announcing their category, as the whole essence of
celebrating talents will be defeated without that.
While it is not out of place for an artiste or a party to vent
their disapproval, we strongly condemn all kinds of
improper conduct and the use of profanity on live
television. In the same manner, we condemn provocative
comments. In all, we see no use or reason for a disgruntled
artiste or party to destroy valuable properties put in place
to give them extra comfort before they perform or come on
stage. This is totally unacceptable and will be addressed.
We congratulate all nominees and winners of The Headies
2015 and wish them a more successful 2016.

If there's one thing that android phones are well known for
among others is how much data it consumes since data
bundles are becoming quite cheap *thanks to Glo* most
people still find it annoying, personally i know how that
feels.
I can still remember the first android device I used
"Huawei U8650"
Being a newbie back then my data bundle and airtime did
not last that much untill I started implementing the
following steps which I will list out then explain to you.
In A Nutshell 6 Smart Ways To Quickly Save Data On Your
Android
Restrict background data
Use browser with data saving feature
Set data limit
Set app updates over wifi only
Use opera max app
Use data monitoring apps
Turn off data roaming
Restrict Background Data
Yes! you guessed right, this is placed at number one
because most android user don't get know anything about
background data or if it exist.
Heres a little something on background data
As the name implies its simply help background running
apps like whatsapp, facebook, to receive or use data even
when you are not using the app thus leading to loss of data
without you knowing.
If you are the kind that does not have enough data bundle
on his or her android device and would like to turn off this
feature please follow these steps.
Go to settings.
Click on data usage.
Click on the small icon at the top to display a menu.
Tick on the restrict background data option .
Use Browser With Data Saving Feature
Most of you just use browser like Opera mini and UC
without knowing about the data saving features on it.
If you are a die hard Opera and UC browser user like me
you would notice that Opera and UC has being making
moves to help their consumers reduce data consumption
by adding data saving options.
If you are using your phone's or laptop default browser I
would advise you to switch to Opera mini or UC browser.
Alternatively you can set image quality to medium or low.
Set Data Limit
If you don't want to over use your data bundle you can
easily set up data limit to notify or switch off the data
connection when the data limit is reached.
To set up date limit on your android smartphone follow
these steps.
Go to settings
Go to data usage then click on set data limit.
Note: use your hand to adjust the level to the amount of
data available.
Use Opera Mini Max App
Alternatively you can use the Opera mini max app to
compress videos, texts and picture hence reducing data
consumption.
Set App Updates Over Wifi Only
You must have gotten a notification of an update about/of
an application. If would be wise to set this to off or over
wifi to unwanted data loss.
Use Data Monitoring Apps
To add to it, you can also use data monitoring apps to
keep tabs on how much data you are consuming.
This feature can also be found on opera mini and UC
browsers.
Download here
Turn Off Data Roaming
This is almost the same with background data.
This allows an app to receive data when you are roaming.
To turn this off follow the same steps you use to turn off
background data.
Then tick on turn data roaming to off.
Or simply identify the apps that consumes more data in
data settings to know apps that consumes data the most.
