Sophie and Joe have been reportedly dating since November of last year, and they made it Instagram official in January.
Abraham Omotoso, who stabbed a father to death in a busy high street while his young daughter was in a nearby shop, has been jailed.
Omotoso, 27, of Tudor Gardens, Harrow, was handed an 18-year prison sentence on Friday, 13 October, following a two-week trial, where he was found guilty of manslaughter at the Old Bailey.
He was found not guilty of murder.
Police were called at about 18:50hrs on Monday, 27 February to reports that a man had been stabbed on High Street in Wealdstone.
The man was taken to a central London hospital by the London Ambulance Service but despite the best efforts of medical staff and extensive surgery, he was pronounced dead at about 02:30hrs on Tuesday, 28 February.
The victim was identified as 34-year-old Mohamed Al-Zufairi, a father-of-two from Harrow.
A post-mortem examination gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.
Shortly before 18:50hrs on Monday, 27 February, Mohamed arrived in High Street, Wealdstone, with his eight-year-old daughter. He sent her into Poundland to buy some items while he waited outside. It was then that he was approached by Omotoso.
Witnesses reported that they had a short argument before Omotoso, who was wearing a parka-style coat with the hood pulled up, stabbed Mohamed and ran from the scene still holding the knife.
Mohamed’s daughter did not witness the incident.
On Tuesday, 28 February police were notified that the suspect could have been someone by the name of Femi Omotoso. At about 18:00hrs, he was arrested on the suspicion of murder under the name of Abraham Omotoso at Gatwick airport having just purchased a one-way ticket to Nigeria with cash.
Detectives carried out a number of enquiries, including reviewing CCTV which showed Mohamed walking with his daughter in High Street on 27 February before she goes into Poundland.
It also shows Omotoso walking in High Street in a ‘purposeful’ manner before approaching Mohamed, fleeing the scene and getting in a black Range Rover nearby and driving away.
Officers also tracked Omotoso’s movements in the days leading up to the murder and he was caught on CCTV wearing the same parka-style coat on two separate occasions.
Detectives also examined Omotoso’s mobile phone data which showed it was inactive between 12:40hrs and 19:09hrs on 27 February, which was not in line with Omotoso’s usual daily phone use patterns. The phone’s movement also matched the movement of the Range Rover that left the scene of the crime.
Omotoso remained silent in all of his police interviews. He was charged on 6 March.
Detectives believe the motive for the attack was an ongoing feud between the victim’s brothers and Omotoso’s brother and friends.
Detective Inspector Jon Meager, the investigating officer from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command, said:
"This was a brutal attack in a busy high street which resulted in a young father losing his life. While his daughter did not witness the assault, it is something that is undoubtedly going to affect her for life. Omotoso has shown no remorse for his actions on that day. I hope his conviction gives Mohamed’s family a measure of closure and comfort."
In a statement, Mohamed’s brother Jafar said:
"Mohamed was a family man, his family came first. I still can not really believe what has happened to Mohamed, the constant grief just gets worse. It’s like a massive hole just suddenly appeared in our family, our big brother was there one minute and suddenly he was snatched away. None of us can get a grasp of or understand. It makes it so much worse that we know that he was killed.
"I think it has hit his daughter the hardest. She did not see her dad being stabbed, but was with him. She walked to the local shops to get some sweets with her dad and returned home without him. She was the last one with, holding his hand as she says ‘Daddy never came home with me'.
"Our lives will never be the same, they have been scarred.

Police in Saigon,Vietnam have detained a 33-year-old Nigerian man Akachukwu Donald for allegedly raping a 23-year-old German woman at his apartment.
Officers in Nha Be District handed over custody of Akachukwu to the city police for further investigation on Thursday, October 12.
The woman said she is in Vietnam on vacation and met the Nigerian on Bui Vien, the city’s backpacker street in District 1.
He invited her home and forcefully raped her last Saturday night, she claims.
She said she left the apartment immediately after the assault and filed a complaint with help from a local woman.
Some people in the building also said they believed she had been sexually assaulted.
According to local media, the case has received widespread media coverage and drawn mixed opinions,
"Before a verdict has even been reached, readers, both foreign and locals, have criticized the German for not protecting herself and jumping on board with a stranger so fast." reports VN International.
Convicted rapists can receive anything from two years in jail to the death sentence in Vietnam, depending on the seriousness of the attack and the damage caused to the victim.
The German provided test results that found sperm in her vagina, but the accused Nigerian said they had consensual sex.
No developments on the case have been reported thus far.

The Nigeria Police Force has reacted to claims by the lawyer to billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike aka Evans, Olukoya Ogungbeje, that officers of the Inspector General of Police’s Intelligence Response Team have extorted money and valuables worth over N50 million from his client since his arrest. The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to publications in the media on 14October, 2017 that “Evans’ lawyer accuses police of extorting over N50 million, other valuables” from his client and another report that “Police Sexually molesting Evan’s Girlfriend, Amaka Offor” credited to one Olukoya Ogungbeje.
The two publications were found out to be absolute falsehood, misleading, unfounded and deliberate attempt to cast aspersion on the thorough and discrete investigation carried out by the Nigeria Police Force in all the offences committed byChukwudumeme Onwuamadike (popularly known as Evans) who has pleaded guilty in court to multiple kidnappings, murder, armed robbery and other capital offences.
Virtually all the items erroneously claimed by Olukoya Ogungbeje to have been forcefully and corruptibly extorted from his client were found out to have been exaggerated. For avoidance of doubt, all monetary exhibits and other valuable properties including houses and exotic vehicles were not extorted but recovered by the IGP Intelligence Response Team during the investigation into the several cases of kidnappings, murder, armed robbery and other capital offences linked to Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike (popularly known as Evans) were duly registered and will be tendered in court as exhibits as the trial progresses.
It is pertinent to disabuse the minds of the public who must have read the story that no police personnel within the team or anywhere else involved in the investigation of all the cases linked to Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike (popularly known as Evans) engage in any sexually molestation of the alleged Evan’s girlfriend Amaka Offor as claimed. This allegation is entirely untrue and incorrect.
The Nigeria Police Force sees these publications as a deliberate distraction and ill motives by Olukoya Ogungbeje to pervert the end of justice. He is advised to face his client’s case in court and not misleading the public.
The Force hereby enjoined members of the public to disregard and discountenance the unfounded publications.

Meghan has had a huge part to play as a paralegal in the drama since it premiered in 2011, but she is now “happy” to leave her role.

A Mexican telenovela star took the drama to the red carpet on Tuesday when he lost his temper and slapped a reporter.
Eduardo Yanez, 57, was being interviewed on the red carpet by Univision reporter, Paco Fuentez, when he took offense at a question and attacked.
Paco is seen in the video asking Eduardo a question about the GoFundMe page his son created to pay for a car he recently crashed. The topic of his son is a sore one for Eduardo because he and his son have a strained relationship that became public back in June after the son accused his famous father on Twitter of being a drug addict, racist and woman abuser.
Paco asked Eduardo why his son couldn’t just go to him for the money and the actor felt the question was disrespectful and warned the reporter.
Eduardo responded in Spanish: “If you're so worried about my son, you send him the money.”
The reporter responds that he's just doing his job and reminds Eduardo the press is the link between public figures and the people.
At this point, Eduardo accuses Paco of trying to make a big deal out of the situation and calls him a “pure a**” adding: “You're not the link between anything and stop disrespecting me.”
Paco started to explain that he never disrespected him but mid-sentence, Eduardo stretches out his palm and hits him across the face.
The assault was caught on video and has gone viral with fans urging Paco to sue. Eduardo, who is said to have a history of being violent towards reporters, later tweeted an apology in Spanish.
Eduardo wrote: “I want to ask a sincere apology to the public and the person affected by my action. It was not correct. My personal life is not for sale.”
According to TMZ, he is now under criminal investigation after the reporter filed a report with the LAPD claiming assault and battery.
