A Nigerian Air Force personnel with Facebook name, Lieut Kal has killed himself and his classmate/girlfriend, Oladipupo Solape a.k.a Shomzy Shomzy in Markudi Benue state. 

According to their classmates, he killed her out of jealousy. 
In series of Facebook posts Kal shared before he killed his girlfriend and himself, he described yesterday as his last day as an airman and even wished himself 'RIP'. It is believed that his last post which is '4:36' was the time he killed the young girl. 

Most of his Facebook post shows that he may have been obsessed with the girl as he tags her on all his post and has even declared that he could kill for her. Shomzy however stopped tagging him in her Facebook posts since January, 2017 indicating that they may have broken up.

Kemen: "Tboss Lied Against Me, I Did Not Put My Hand In Her"

TBoss lied: Disqualified Big Brother Naija housemate, Kemen today had an exclusive interview with Azuka of media room hub and shared a different story to the touching of TBoss without her consent. Remember its the same Kemen who has recently apologized for his wrong doing but lately turning against his words. We begin to wonder whether Kemen was forced to write an apology because according to the interview, he seems not to have done anything wrong.

Quoting from his apology, he said he was sorry for his "conduct which led to my disqualification". We quote a few lines from his interview:

May I use this opportunity to apologize to tboss in the light of the current issues arising from that night's scene. I'm truly sorry and never thought it could end this way.
To my family, friends and all who have expressed displeasure over my conduct which led to my disqualification, I pray that you find space in your heart to forgive me and give me another chance.
To big brother and the Organisers, I remain ever grateful for the opportunity granted me on such a huge stage. Finally, as I call to mind the fact that in life reality and perception have a fine line of difference, I can assure that given another chance I will consciously create a reality that leaves no one in doubt of my inner strength and positive values which will ultimately will earn me a positive perception The current negative perception flowing from my action is highly regretted.

However, according to the interview with Azuka, Kemen says Tboss' story about the touching isn't true and that she only said that because of pressure plus being part of her game. He further explains that he was only pulling the duvet but had no intention of touching Tboss inappropriately.

Surprisingly, looking at the video, we see Kemen looking at the cameras and housemates before "pulling the Duvet". We begin to wonder whether someone pulling the duvet would first have to look at the cameras and checking whether other housemates are sleeping.

Kemen further stretches that Tboss will tell the truth when there's no 25 million

He started off saying everything was misunderstood and only himself and Tboss knows the truth.

“I got myself entangled in a situation that was misunderstood. The honest truth about what happened under the covers, let’s not forget that the video was focused on a certain movement under the cover. The honest truth of what happened under the covers lies between two people, me and Tboss, and i only hope that whenever she is out of the house where there is no N25 million at stake, i hope she will be able to embrace the truth about the reality surrounding the video.“But let me also state that I and Tboss had a cordial relationship. Tboss is a young woman i really like a respected a lot, and she knew i respected her. I respected her because she deserved to be respected by me, and just like i will respect every other woman, i will never put Tboss or any other woman in arms way”

He then went on to give details about what happened:

“I saw the video, when big brother showed me the video in the diary room i was like, ‘aargh, noo, this is not what it looks like’ cos the perception was clear. But for the housemates that has been in the house, we know that there are two windows from where the beds are, Left and the right. We don’t have a watch or clock to check the time, so for you to wake up, you have to look left and right to see if it’s bright so you know whether you have about 5 mins to sleep before the lights comes on, or the alarm. If it’s not bright, then you have like 30 more minutes to sleep. An if you’ve watched the show you know that i am one of the few people that wake up very early and help to wake the other housemates up. So it came into my subconscious to look left and right after i wake up, and on that day it wasn’t bright enough for me to wake up, so i had to go back to bed.

“Now, i went to bed before Tboss and i used the duvet that was on the bed, when Tboss came to the bed she had to use another duvet, and of course there’s a third duvet on the bed. So when i wanted to go back to sleep, i wanted to cuddle Tboss, so i tried pulling out the duvet that was wrapped around me ‘cos it was under my legs. I pushed it out and lifted up the duvet inbetween i and tboss so i can move closer to her. So the hand movement that was seen was me just struggling through the duvet to get to tboss. The moment i wrapped my hand around her that was when tboss woke up. She opened her duvet, saw my hand and shifted back into my hands. That was where the video stopped.

“For every night i and Tboss where in bed together, she was always in her 3 quarter and her sphaghetti top, Number 2, Tboss is not a deep sleeper i wake i up every morning, number 3, Tboss has the highest stack of alcohol in her cupboard ‘cos she barely drinks. And that night i was not drunk, and if i’m to talk for tboss, she was not drunk that night. The moment my hand touched Tboss, she woke up, and that is what happened everytime we are in bed.“She told the housemates that she broke down when big brother showed her the video that it looks like she as being fingered, and she didn’t know ‘cos she was drunk, But she was awake in that video, and at some point she slept back. Moments after that video, she turned back and she slept with her hands around my shoulder. That was when Uriel woke up, Uriel saw us lying like that and said 

‘Later y’all will be acting like you don’t like yourselves but you be cuddling up all night’.“To be honest to myself and to God, that is the honest truth around that video”

When asked if he thought TBoss should have defended him during his diary session, Kemen said, “if she had the opportunity to say the truth and to defend me, she would have.”

According to him, while TBoss isn’t a bad person, she probably withheld the truth for the sake of the game.

“I think that if she had the opportunity to embrace the truth, she would have,” said Kemen.“I think if she was given the option, I think she would have taken the option. I know TBoss is not a bad person, but just like every other person, we can do bad stuffs, maybe just for the sake of the game.”
“But, I know that if she had the opportunity to say the truth and to defend me, she would have.”

He was also asked if he had any emotional feelings for Tboss, to which he replied saying it was just a game and nothing more.

Update: Man who killed his mother in Ogun state was a medical doctor who just finished NYSC

Yesterday, LIB reported about a man, Emmanuel Ogah, who killed his mother at their home in Adeleye Aparadija in Itele Ota road in Ogun state on Friday March 10th(Read here). The police have arrested him and preliminary investigations show that he is a trained medical doctor who just finished his Youth service.
Emmanuel stabbed his 62-year-old mother, Janet Ogah, to death. He says he stabbed her because she was always insulting him and that he felt victimized. The deceased was a food vendor.

Female student loses sight after her teacher's cane lands on her right eye

Raliya Suleiman, pictured above, a Junior Secondary School student of Government Secondary School, Kachai, lost her right eye after she was allegedly flogged in the eye by one of her teachers, Moses Aura, because she came to school late on February 23rd.

Prophet Patrick Mugadza, who has spent more than a month in  prison following his arrest for saying President Robert Mugabe would die on October 17, has finally been freed. The leader of Kariba Church in Zimbabwe was Friday granted a $50 bail by High Court judge Justice Priscilla Chigumba. Prophet Mugadza who is being charged with insulting the Christain and African religions when he predicted the death of the 93-year-old president, will appear in court on the 30th of March.

Justin Bieber impostor charged with more than 900 child sex offences

A 40-year-old man who allegedly posed as Justin Bieber on social media platforms has been charged with more than 900 child sex offences, police said on Thursday.

The man identified Gordon Douglas Chalmers, a law lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, allegedly posed as the Canadian singer online to solicit explicit images from children who probably thought they were chatting with the star.

According to a police report, Chalmers was arrested after information was passed from US and German authorities about his activities. He was first charged last year in November with using Facebook and Skype to impersonate the pop star. 

But after subsequent investigations, police officers in Queensland revealed that Chalmers was charged with another 931 child sex offences dating back a decade. This includes rape and making child exploitation material.

Speaking on the latest charge, Detective Inspector Jon Rouse said; 

'This investigation demonstrates both the vulnerability of children who are utilising social media and communication applications and the global reach and skill that child sex offenders have to groom and seduce victims.

'The fact that so many children could believe that they were communicating with a celebrity highlights the need for a serious rethink about the way that we as a society educate our children about online safety.' he said

Giant statues of Egyptian Pharaoh found in mud pit (photos)

Archaeologists have discovered two statues of Egyptian Pharaoh dating back more than 3,000 years in a Cairo muddy pit, Egypt's antiquities ministry announced on Thursday. According to the Ministry, the relics were found in Mattarya district, site of the ancient Pharaonic capital of Heliopolis and today a sprawl of working and middle-class districts in northeastern Cairo.

The statues are thought to represent Pharaohs from the 19th dynasty, which ruled from 1314 to 1200 BC. One statue stands eight meters (26 feet) tall and is carved out of quartzite, a tough stone composed mostly of quartz grains. It could not be identified from its engravings but it was found at the entrance to the temple of King Ramses II -- also known as Ramses the Great, suggesting it represents him.

The other relic is a limestone statue of 12th century BC ruler King Seti II. They were discovered by a joint German-Egyptian archaeological mission

Angry PSG fans threaten players & their families after shock 6-5 loss to Barca in the champions league

Fans of French club, PSG, have threatened players and  their family members upon their return to Paris after the club's shocking 6-5 aggregate loss and total capitulation on Wednesday night at the hands of Barcelona following a 4-0 first leg home win.

According to the club, the players were insulted and their cars vandalized as fans  created an 'extremely hostile and aggressive climate' as they waited to confront the French team at Bourget Airport with one person hit by a car during the incident.

PSG have now released a statement saying they strongly condemn the acts of the fans, and that a police investigation into the incident has begun.

The statement read: 'On Wednesday night, upon their return from Barcelona, the Paris St Germain players were confronted and threatened by several individuals at Bourget Airport, despite the club and authorities reinforcing security.

'These individuals verbally insulted the players before vandalising their cars. Several vehicles were damaged.

In this extremely hostile and aggressive climate, all vehicles were escorted to ensure the safe passage of the players, their families and club staff members. One individual was struck by a car trying to escape the crowd that was physically threatening the players and their families.

'A police investigation is under way to establish exactly what happened.

'The club, and all those present, have informed the investigators of their readiness to help the investigation, to get to the bottom of this regrettable incident.

'The club strongly condemns the actions and behaviour of the individuals in question.'

Pope Francis sends over $100,000 to war-torn Aleppo in Syria

In a statement released on Friday, the Vatican confirms that Pope Francis made a generous donation to the needy in the war-ravaged Syrian city of Aleppo. "The Holy Father celebrated a Mass for Syria and has sent 100,000 euro ($106,000) to the poor of Aleppo," the statement read.
The Pope has been publicly raising attention and awareness to the plight of Syrians caught in the conflict since his election in 2013. Aleppo has endured brutal fighting during the six-year Syrian conflict, and the warfare has caused many deaths and injuries, widespread displacement and massive damage.

US Attorney General, Jeff Sessions asks 46 Obama-era U.S. attorneys to resign

The US Justice Department on Friday announced that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has asked for the resignations of 46 US attorneys. Justice Department spokesperson Sarah Isgur Flores said, "as was the case in prior transitions, many of the United States attorneys nominated by the previous administration already have left the Department of Justice. 
The attorney general has now asked the remaining 46 presidentially appointed US attorneys to tender their resignations in order to ensure a uniform transition,".

"Until the new US attorneys are confirmed, the dedicated career prosecutors in our US attorney's offices will continue the great work of the department in investigating, prosecuting, and deterring the most violent offenders," Flores said.

A glamorous swimming coach, a Russian actress, and a 'professional blonde' from the Arctic are among the contestants taking part in the controversial real-life Hunger Games-style TV show.
The organisers of the reality programme, filmed on a remote Siberian island, say they will not intervene to stop rape and murder, as the series got the go ahead to start in July. Contestants armed with only knives will have to fight bears, wolves and endure vicious gnats during a nine month hell on the Ob River, it was announced Friday, March 10

Game2: Winter will see 30 participants, evenly split between men and women, armed with knives and dropped into the Siberian wilderness for a nine-month survival test. The daring contestants – who must be over 18 and declared “mentally sane” – will be allowed 100kg of equipment to last them until April 1 2018, and are not permitted to take in guns.

They will have to pay £132,000 just to enter, and their trials and tribulations will be filmed by 2,000 fixed cameras and broadcast live online 24/7.
The extreme survival show will be translated into English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic, and there has reportedly been interests from mainstream broadcasters in five countries to air it on television. Shockingly, the rules for the contest originally stated:

“Everything is allowed. Fighting, alcohol, murder, rape, smoking, anything.” However, after an outcry, the team behind the show removed the controversial “rule”.

But when asked if he will step in if there is “physical violence, rape, or murder”, millionaire organiser Yevgeny Pyatkovsky, told The Siberian Times:

“No, we won’t. “I am pretty sure there will be fights, and more. We are not scared of negative reaction if that happens either.”

He reiterated:

“We will refuse any claim of participants even if they were to be killed or raped. “We will have nothing to do with this. This will be spelt out in a document to be signed by the participant before the start of the show.”

However, Russian criminal laws will still apply for anyone who commits a crime there, with contestants told “the police will come and take you away” if there is proof of criminality.

Game2’s contestants will have to face temperatures ranging from a roasting 35C in the summer to minus 40C or lower in the depths of the Siberian winter. Finding food will provide a huge challenge for the foolhardy few who take part.

The boreal forest, or taiga, where they will be struggling to survive supports little wildlife, particularly in winter.
